insane people may remember that my personal mic HC is that he spent his middle school years in the uk, which is where he learned how to be a rough little punk. i think mic did 2 years hanging out with a crew of 12-16 year olds on the skreets of london, and, under the mentorship of a slightly older and wiser lad, learned like. prison exercises. how to pickpocket. how to throw an effective punch. im saying present mic as tom hardy. basically shredded mic predates UA and oboro and aizawa. shredded mic is why oboro and aizawa got into any kind of shape at all. shredded mic is eternal. could you imagine being 14 and getting into super hero school and the guy who dresses like a cockatoo and shouts in incomprehensible slang is somehow swoller than you? you lean over to make a joke to your funny loud buddy and accidentally get a glimpse down his track suit? of course you think oh GOD ive GOTTA get myself in better shape. imagine you enter into the general studies problem and you see that the sentient banana is inexplicably yoked? of course you would start an unreal gym routine. what im saying is mic was shredded, is shredded, will always BE shredded, and his friends can only hope to keep up with him.

Yeah sure that photo is fake, but what ISN’T fake is the fact that the largest lion’s mane jellyfish found was about 36 meters long. The average blue whale is about 25 meters long btw.

Idk what the fuck yall talken about but I see jellyfish and by god do I love dem on bread.

Some of my favorite jellyfish (sorry if I go on a tanget and vear off jellyfish)

are the Stygiomedusa gigantea, which I believe is also called the blanket jellyfish, but like dude look up a video of it moving it is chilling and fantastic! This thing is 10 meters long, so not the largest here, but ohohoho look at my love

It is a deep sea jellyfish and is one of the largest invertebrate predators known. However, according to Cambridge, it has been consistently recorded in the twilight and sunlight depth zones down south so do with that what you will :)

If we want to keep going down the large and length category of ocean creatures, allow me to introduce the current longest recorded ocean animal. A deep sea siphonophore that clocks in at around 46 meters; my beautiful death halo

Technically siphonophores are hundreds upon hundreds of tinier organisms that grouped together to make a bigger one, but for all intents and purposes, this is one animal. Some of them are incredibly beautiful!

However there is also ones not so pretty, main one was something I saw a month or so ago and it looked like someone had fused like a dozen human limbs together and they were flailing to move and jesus christ yall can go mentally scar yourselves.

Man I can’t find a good picture but Deepsea Oddities has a really good video on them (and on other ocean related things… mostly deep sea)

A decent summary of this whole fiasco is that because of the extreme conditions of the deep sea and because of the massive history of evolution in the depths of the ocean, some really fucking weird and terrifying things are able to climb to the surface. I watched a while back too a really good video on the monsters of the ocean that are left, I won’t spoil how many remain though :P. Also an amazing place to source horror monster ideas!

except it’s NOT bc the huge shift in atmospheric pressure has rendered my autistic brain completely useless for the foreseeable future. all services have been shut down. the roads are closed and so are my neural pathways

when you said atmospheric pressure shut down your brain it took me a second to realize you meant the atmosphere as in how tense school is compared to how calm home is, and not that autistic people have some kind of internal barometer that is attached to their brain.

nope, I’m literally talking about barometric pressure!

for those who aren’t aware, autistic brains are sensitive to barometric pressure shifts. changes in atmospheric pressure (like those caused by rain) effect our blood oxygen levels in a way that messes with our brains. sudden changes in weather can exacerbate our symptoms, making us irritable, lethargic, anxious, twitchy, overwhelmed etc, while our brains work overtime to adjust to the change. it’s just one of the ways that environmental factors other people take for granted (weather, noise, overhead music, lights, etc) can affect our lives in ways people don’t expect!

For those that don’t understand fully. When atmospheric pressure is higher the weather is usually sunny and dry, whereas when it’s low it’s rainy, with darker clouds and weather in general.

When weather changes quickly there is either a drop or rise in atmospheric pressure, which can cause a drop in blood oxygen levels. When this happens, your body adjusts your heart rate and blood pressure to adapt to these changes, which can interfere with your brain activity. So if you find yourself having mood swings or generally feeling more anxious or on-edge, this might be the reason why.
