Hunter is the oldest of his brothers by the manner of minutes, but that is a fact he cannot forget. He takes this arbitrary responsibility seriously, using his senses and street smarts to protect his family. His Whānau. Thus, the death of their parents weighed on his heart the heaviest. As the son of New Zealand immigrants but born and raised in the Bronx, he struggled to maintain his family’s identity as he took the role of their new leader.
Upon being drafted in 1942 (along with the rest of his brothers), he was forced to leave his baby sister, Omega, behind. She was the person he felt most obligated to protect, and now a forced duty came in between them. His loyalty to his family proved he was the natural fit for Sargent when Captain Rex pulled the four brothers into the 99th OSS, also known as The Bad Batch. They were a specialized team tasked with specialized missions, receiving orders directly from General Skywalker. Hunter lead the team to many successes, but his greatest accomplishment was bringing his brothers home safe when the war ended.
Civilian life was an adjustment after that. With Omega as his priority, he opted for a part time position as a cook at the Copacabana. This allowed him to spend time with his sister by day, and be surrounded by his brothers at night. A part of their team once again.

The idea of clones having absurd tan lines has been amusing me lately. Just think of a group of guys who grew up indoors without sun exposure and probably had supplements for the vitamins instead of actively getting UV. Their Māori genetics have been itching for any single ray of sunlight. So when they get out, and the only part of themselves they somewhat regularly expose is their face, they tan immediately. Like a dry sponge unfurling at a drop of water. Meanwhile, the rest of their body that’s covered in armor still has a slow way to go
HI! I would like to request a General headcanon stuff of a reader with a tail! I don't really see anything about readers with unique features. I imagine the tail to be like, prehensile and can grab onto things and is very expressive. I like to imagine also that it likes to grab onto their partners a lot and they use it to tease them when standing by each other. :) yes it's fluffy
Tbb x gn reader: you have a tail [general]
warnings: none
A/N: this was so interesting!! it really is rare but it has the opportunitues to be so cute!!
comments and reblogs are very appreaciated :D
Hunter
Your tail for Hunter is something that is just incredibly pleasant.
First, it is not overwhelming on his senses when you touch him like direct skin-to-skin would due to its fluffiness. So often he prefers your tail wrapped around his hand when walking with you rather than walking with your hands intertwined.
Second, it is another way for him to tell how you feel, which makes many interactions much easier. Yes, he can hear things like your heartbeat and all, and he often relies on that, but it is much easier when he can so obviously see the movement and it takes much less energy.
On top of that, it's fluffy, meaning it is very easy for him to track and find you when there are tiny hairs of yours everywhere and the smell those hairs leave around his home and clothes is a place of comfort for him.
One of his favourite things though, is when you come up to him with a teasing smile and wrap your tail around his waist.
"Something you want?" he mutters, his voice low and husky.
"You," you reply with a smirk, pulling him closer to you. Your tail was just long enough to wrap around his tiny waist and it pushed your bodies against each other nicely
Tech
In Tech's eyes. you're absolutely fascinating. He has never had much contact with someone of your biology and he treats it almost reverently the first time his hands run over your fluffy tail.
"It is… surprisingly soft," he remarks and a gasp of surprise escapes him when you wrap it around his hand. "Fascinating."
He quickly grabs his datapad and begins noting down his thoughts and hypothesis he wants to test. Then question after question spills from his lips and you chuckle as your tail sways from side to side behind, humouring him by answering each one.
"That movement, is it mood based?" He asks, pointing at your tail.
"Why don't you just observe it for a few days, hm?"
And that's exactly what Tech did. He mapped out all the little differences in the movement; how it dropped when you were tired and how it stood up straight when you were interested in one of his rants.
However, what he enjoyed most was when you used it to get his attention. Wrapping it around his wrist to pull it away from his datapad. Sometimes you put it under his jaw and turned his head towards something that had caught your interest.
It tickled slightly and it was a weird sensation for him at first but he quickly grew to love it.
Wrecker
Wrecker is as enthusiastic about you having a tail as he is about the rest of your body; he just unapologetically loves it.
At first, he doesn't understand it fully and is very very careful to not accidentally crush it since it looks so delicate.
What he absolutely comes to adore though is running his hand over it over and over again.
"It's so soft!" he exclaims as you brush it over his cheek, chuckling at the sensation. Then you reach for the edge of the blanket with it to pull it over the both of you and he gasps.
"You can do that?" Wrecker's eyes are wide in awe.
"Yeah, I can," you laugh, kissing his cheek.
"Woah, that's so cool! What else can you do? Can you throw explosives? Or—"
A lot of time is spent on him asking you questions and being fascinated after that.
Crosshair
Your tail is a tool for a lot of teasing from both sides.
You love going up to him and sticking it in between his armour plates or just under the edge of his blacks to tickle him. It always irritates him when he feels the little hairs against his skin and he turns to you to glare.
"What was that all for?" He snaps.
"Mh, can't I touch my partner?"
"Not when I know you're gonna leave me hanging again before I can kiss you," he challenges.
"You have to deserve it first," you smirk.
"Are you sure you're not just too scared?" Crosshair leans closer with a smirk.
You scoff, slapping him in the face with your tails as you walk away. Before you can even make it three steps, a hand wraps around your tail and pulls you back.
"Ah!" you yelp, "That hurt, Cross," you warn though it didn't really. Cross knows exactly where the line is and he'd never hurt you intentionally.
"Mh, you like it," he muttered, face hovering right in front of yours, breath hot against your face.
"I most definitely—" your protests are cut short but Cross capturing your lips in a heated kiss. He pulls you closer by your hips and you wrap each other's bodies firm against each other with your tail.
Echo
Echo loves your tail like any other part of your body. He's not one to often engage in physical contact since his skin is still quite sensitive after everything and it tickles him just a little too much.
But he never complains, even if he keeps finding little hairs in his armour and the little mechanisms of his prosthetics. In fact, he likes having this little reminder of you whenever he's on some mission.
The thing he loves most though, is something the two of you discover by accident.
Echo and you walk along the paths of Pabu, fingers intertwined and pleasant conversation flowing between the two of you.
"Hey, let me just…" Echo slips his hand out of your grasp to reach for something in one of his pouches. It was a common thing; with only one hand Echo was quite limited but you wish that you could keep contact with him.
An idea comes to you then and while Echo was rummaging in his pockets, you wrap your tail around his upper thigh. He stiffens for a moment before relaxing into the touch.
"So you can always have a free hand," you explain and he smiles.
"That's a nice idea." He leans forward and places a kiss on your forehead.
Wrecker grew up in the Bronx with his three brothers, the son of New Zealand immigrants, a few streets over from his older cousins Echo and Fives. He was conscripted into the Army in 1942 at eighteen and was quickly pulled into the Office of Strategic Services by Captain Rex. Alongside his brothers, he became an integral part of the 99th OSS Operational Group — the Bad Batch. His specialty among them is explosives, finding new and creative uses for each bomb in the arsenal.
Not long after being drafted, he was caught in a bad accident. It left scarring across the left side of his body, cost him the sight in his left eye, and took most of the hearing in his left ear.
Of the four brothers, Wrecker is the loudest and the hardest to miss. He is quick to laugh, quick to act, and genuinely fond of just about everyone he meets. While in active duty, he wrote to his younger sister Omega as much as he could, sending letters stuffed with small trinkets found on missions and drawings he’d made for her.
After the war, he took a job at the Copacabana as a bouncer, a perfect position for his large stature, and one that continues to keep his family close.

Here is my mostly headcanon driven but heavily based on canon analysis of the gender functions and diversity on Dathomir, focusing on Night clan. Enjoy~
Disclaimer 1- based it on my brief (watched a few videos, read some articles) research on recognised gender diversity across the world- just so you know i’m not pulling all of this from my ass
Disclaimer 2- i do not love the nouns female and male and so I used them as little as possible and im open to suggestion how to replace them entirely with other descriptors
*jingle-jingles u with concept art now read even more*
Since the society is matriarchal in nature and because of highly visible sexual dimorphism the categories of gender it concentrates on that visual presentation and performing roles and duties. As a woman, you are most importantly a part of a clan and so a superior body under protection of the Mother, have access to magick and are the one to dictate the norms. And all that claimed by your pale skin adorn with subtle tattoos and an elongated skull that may be covered with hair. Similarly, before you are a man, you are a breeding tool, inferior, physical power - as your gender role and distinguished by your warm color skin marked with tattoos, horns and lack of hair. Thus Nightsisters are very proud and strict in their appearance and unaccepting of any form of deviance from the predescribed norm. They are in control of the gender assignment at birth and do so heavily based on visual clues. For example every warm color skinned newborn is prescribed the role of man and destined to be left at the Nightbrothers colonies. The same would apply for any trace of horns or anything beyond having pale skin and smooth head, the visual of the genitalia is a lesser consideration in the process. Although it changes with age and if there's any distortion in upholding the gender role or appearance it's met with a threat of banishing from the clan or death (the choice falls on the birthing mother of the fallen sister). As for the Nightbrothers they strongly resent Nightsisters as their tormentors and in essence every trait aligning with the witches image. Although in contrast to them, Nightbrothers are far more accepting of diversity in the visual expression, but notably more so if it can be molded to their expectation.
Such is the case with Daughters of Dathomir, a Nightbrother born individuals who claim feminine identity later in life. Often they discover themselves because of the stronger connection to force (than the rest of the colonies), or by recognising their place among the other Daughters already present in the colony. Nightbrothers treat them as a force-send revenge on the Nightsisters, a distinct category of women born out of their society. And because of that context they exist in - being a feminine made version of dathomirian zabraks- they physically don't differ much from the rest of the colony. They don't have the resources to undergo any physical transition but also willingly keep their masculine traits to signify their origin and place in the Nightbrothers society. Nightbrothers hold them as sacred and so they are hidden away from the gaze of Nightsisters, especially carefully in time of their visits to the colonies. Some of the Daughters of Dathomir deviate from the path laid for them by the Nightbrothers society. Those are called “Falsouls” (standing for false-souls), “fake souls” (or other similar in meaning names) as in their striving for womanhood they land on wanting to be one of the Nightsisters. This is of course seen as vile and a betrayal of the community that raised them in pursuit of something that will never acknowledge them. If they stand by their view of themselves they are exiled from the colony in the manner of traitors. Roaming abandoned, they search for other rejects of the broader Dathomirian society in hope of accessing the possibility to physically transition through use of magick.
Those are known as Scars - self named as a portrayal of being a stroke and a blemish on the surface of Nightsisters rule. They are Nightsisters born individuals adapting masculine identity later in life. Such behavior is unthinkable among the Nightsisters and is heavily ostracized to the point many of them are killed if they did not escape in time. In their identity they strive to perform the role and appearance of the Nightbrothers. To their detriment they are excluded from both fractions - Nightsisters as stated above, and for Nightbrothers they are still regarded as a fruit of their tormentors and merely a pathetic being which could never be one of them - real men of Dathomir, their struggle considered a greater punishment for the Nightsisters. Scars gave up trying to join Nightbrothers colonies so they form their own small groups and in them embrace their idea of dathomirian zabraks customs. They restrain from using magic for any other purpose than physical transition.
In case of intersex and genderqueer individuals their livelihood depends on their capability and will to fit under one of the sets of standards. They are not recognised as a group with a label of their own and rather a rare occurrence. If they claim a part in one of the groups they do so under the label of the established genders - Nightsister, Nightbrother, the third recognized gender of Daughter of Dathomir or Scar. But if they deviate a bit too much from the norm for the role they ought to perform they are met with disapproval, accusations and threat of banishment from the group which in many cases is inevitable.
i will never in my life ask to see another clone in animated star wars projects unless they are willing to fix the character models and pay a maori voice actor to be doing that shit. it's gone on more than long enough. if they can hire better for the cadets, they can hire better for the adults. dbb never should have had that job and i am not sorry for saying so. i can appreciate the clone wars and the bad batch for what their entertainment value is but such a huge failure is a comical stain on otherwise very interesting stories and characters
