As they have gotten older my fur babies have become more tolerant of each other. All were adopted when they were one and had lived some hard lives. Darby was abandoned in a barn and up until this year never let Buddy snuggle with her. She seems to have given up the fight, realizing her attempts at resistance were futile. These photos were taken for a documentary done in Japan to commemorate the 5 year anniversary of the tsunami. A man in a small town badly affected by the disaster set up a phone booth where people started coming to talk to their loved ones that they lost. Great story On This American Life. That phone has heard so many stories.
