WARNING: MASSIVE SPOILERS IN VIDEO
I have so many mixed feelings about this game. The maps are just as terrible as the original Xillia (hell, they literally recycled pretty much every single map) and bullshitted the entire original cast into the sequel along with only ONE new playable character unique to the sequel.
This character also happens to be a silent protagonist who is only as interesting as you can imagine him to be. But personality aside, I personally feel that the developers literally just wanted to create a Dante+1, throwing in a Hammer of all things to go with dual swords, dual guns, an devil mode.
But if there's one thing Dante is good at, its being stylish, and holy shit can Ludger style. Just watch the final combo starting at 7:35 to avoid the worst of the spoilers and see how insignificant the antagonists are in the face of real-time weapon change.
Personal Notes about the last combo:
-Muzet link used to chase mid-air
-Elize/Leia link skill used to restore AC mid-combo for a few extra hits
-Weaving of elemental weaknesses to continue bonus chain
-Chronos cancelling to maintain combo and bonus chain after 1st mystic arte
-Mine set-ups all day every day
tl;dr - Same problem, characters less interesting, dayum Ludger stylish
