The Scheming...
Three days. It's been three days since the the enemies have started gathering their forces. Two, since the Leaves by passed my hiding place. It seems the coast is clear. For now. During those times, I huddled by the corner of our broken down shack. Letting the fear eat away at me. Piggu, insipid plant that he is, would only acknowledge my presence whenever I give him his water. The force of his stare says it all... "Foolish human. To be overcome with such fear, from something as trivial as Leaves. How quickly you forget. I too am a plant."
But he's not just a plant. He's family. And we always stick up for family, no matter what.
For hours, I lay there. Beating myself up for being a coward, for being a useless, spineless, stupid human . "Well, no more!" I thought. It's high time I summon all that bravado and gather my own forces! Well... More like plead for help from friends in distant lands. It's reckless I know, but I just can't lay around and do nothing as the the enemies create havoc all around me.
I will have to ask for help from the one nearest to where I am. A gentleman from a place called Solreas. An ominous place. A habitat for reptiles and fire breathing snakes, the mere sight of them would make lesser men shake in their boots and cry. Though they are mostly females, it is said that they are descendants of Medusa herself. No surprise there, their temperament alone could attest to that.
My friend, Sir Edverd Fartsalot, though we call him Ed for short, is as gentle and as kind as any reptile could be. A tenacious creature, and highly intelligent. He surrounds himself in machines and foul smelling potions. He calls them "Tekkinologies." Though he often tries to explain these things to me, I'm afraid my second-hand brain cells just can't grasp the concept behind those contraptions. He still tries. See what I mean by kind? Reptiles aren't kind. Medusa must be rolling in her grave by now. I really do hope this quest would be fruitful. If there's anyone out there that can help me, I'm sure it's Ed. At least I hope he will. And so I devised a plan to sneak past the Leaves. A few stragglers littered the streets but they're easy enough to avoid. As I prepare for a short journey, Piggu stares at me in disdain. Clearly, he doesn't want to go. Well tough luck! He has to come along if he doesn't want to dry up. Not like he has a choice anyway. It's small victories like these that make living with him more bearable. As I said, family is family. No matter how insufferable they can be...
A lonely hue and cry... The random things I say... #2
I was going to write something earlier today but I lost my thought. Blasted cogs must have something stuck in them again. I swear, those stupid 'Board of Directors' inside my head are acting like four year olds having ADDs with a sugar rush! Keep it together people! We're doing a blog! Get it? A little coherence would be nice! Ugghhh... They're stirring up a ruckus as we speak. My poor brain cells... If only I could gather enough funds to buy the more efficient ones. They're expensive though. And I bought the 'two for one' four packs on sale thinking, "Hey, I know! Two heads are better than one right? So why not just buy these. I'm sure they'd work just as good as the expensive one's since there's more of them!" Brilliant. ABSO-BLOOMIN-LUTELY BRILLIANT! I am such a genius.
But enough about that, we can trash me later...
So another update from Skittishleaf here! The nice weatherman, KappaKim reports of grey skies and scattered rain showers. The winds are still gathering their forces. Good news though, the storm seems to be headed to a different direction. Ha! Take that! You moronic leaves!
I laugh at your stupidity! Laugh, I say! Hahaha! Speaking of moronic, the Board seems to have located a nearby energy storage facility. The pandemonium! They're running around everywhere! Arrrgghhh!!! My WBC forces are no match for them now. I better do some damage control.
Oh, jeez! One member seems to have gotten down the brain stem and is terrorizing the Pons! Right! Better call on the Platelets just in case...

A lonely hue and cry... The random things I say... #1
So this would be my first lonely hue and cry... If you're thinking, "what the heck is a hue and cry?!" Then you're a perfectly normal human being... if you already know what it means, I doff my hat to you! For the benefit of everyone, a Hue and Cry is basically a loud and public protestation about something or someone. A rally against the government is the simplest thing I can give as an example. Although there's nothing loud about this post. I only want my thoughts to be heard... or read. O_O... And I like the idea of it so yeah... I'm starting to drift and I'm sure you are too... On to the point! There's a low pressure area near our vicinity and the weather is slowly turning for the worst. In short, a storm is brewing. The leaves are everywhere and black outs are happening all over the place. I don't think venturing outside is a good idea. Piggu and I shall stay in our hovel and be all cozy and warm... So yeah... A weather update from Skittishleaf! Stay safe everyone! And remember, Umbrella is your friend... unless there's plenty of lightning, feel free to chuck them away.. O_O
So soon...
The howling and thrashing... The whirring and scurrying... Dreadful, dreadful. I could feel the atmosphere pressing down on me. The dark skies obscure what little hope I have left for salvation. The clanging of metal roofs against concrete, against wood, as the vicious tempest raged on... The enemies have caught wind of my plans. I never meant for this to happen. I started this quest unbeknownst to the world. The secret that's supposed to be so preciously guarded, so fragile, so young. Exposed after only a few hours of its birth...
For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. I should have taken heed of these words. Alas, I have ploughed on, thinking only of myself and my selfish need to conquer my enemies. How have I been so naive? Thinking that I wouldn't get caught... A storm is fast approaching. The weatherman attests to that. Reports show that they are gathering their forces. The leaves, oh God, the leaves! They scurry past my refuge. Never thinking anyone could live in such a decrepit place. A hovel. Understated, and yet efficient. They will never know I am here! I hold my breath as they march past. The scouts of The Wind. Bringing forth terror to the hearts of fragile creatures such as myself. I can only watch as they scour the area. Upturning stone after stone, interrogating the innocent. My heart aches for them, but for all my misguided righteousness, for all my stubbornness, they are but false bravado. I am a coward. Piggu could only stare at me with deadened eyes. His silence, louder than any thunder could ever dream of being. And as I turn to look back out the window, I confirmed what he cannot say out loud... Yes. Cowardice looks positively lovely on me.
The battle begins...
I start this journey with a muddled head and no clear goals. My only companion, a three pronged bamboo with a bug on one of it's shoots. Goes by the name, Piggu. An unfortunate plant, his middle shoot has dried up and shrivelled. But still, he keeps on. I suppose that's why he's such a grumpy fellow, but he listens well. Not one for words, though I don't really mind. I talk enough for the both of us, I suppose. And so I go. An adventure with my potted plant as we struggle to survive every day life, fighting the evils that surround us. The army of running leaves and their overlord, The Wind. Where my feet may take us, I wouldn't know. Probably the local market, to buy some pebbles and water for Piggu. I swear that plant's needs will run us to the grounds. Though don't tell him I said that...
