This is basically what my physical therapist had me do for my back problems last year and it helped with the pain so much! Also walk for at least thirty minutes a day, even if it's just in small chunks throughout the day.
have you ever thought about making tutorials? maybe even small step by step videos or such? the way you draw hands is so funky i love it 😍😍
thank you !!! honestly my art style is not. dependent on steps very much outside of "do sketch then line then colour" but i can give you the gist of how i've developed drawing hands !!
aside from studying/looking at your own hands or the hands of a model the way i shape and draw them is entirely just a weird memory game. step 1 is learn how the different shapes ~go~ and what hand shape you think a character would have. these are not the only three options it's really more of a weird scale for me
as you can see here i didn't even stick to the shape guide i set for myself.
after finding style and shape i literally just. have memorized ways that i draw different/each finger position n the different angles. i tend to omit the topmost knuckle but i find it's only in rare cases that i really need it (ie. the pose is dependent on the hand position being very refined)
i find once you have like... a way of drawing fingers bent in different ways at different angles it kind of just becomes like a mental mr potato head of sticking on the right shape to vague-hand-square/circle
bonus: hand drafts from a rig i was working on
n of course my favourite thing is just... simplifying the shapes to hell n back. sometimes you don't need to define the space between each finger that isn't important
just get the mass there maybe with some shading to spice it up n define the shapes/angles further and BAM ur golden
at the end of the day what i always tell myself is to just go in confidently and pretend i know what i'm doing- like yeah i have a vague idea. but the thing is. everyone else only has a vague idea too- with art in general but like especially hands. just embrace the learning curve and eventually you're gonna go from Faking it to actually just straight up Making it and no ones gonna call u out on weirdly drawn hands bc no one knows what they're doing.
ps.i prepped all these images and my brain thoughts before i came back n read this ask again n realized u were not necessarily directly asking for a hand tutorial... oops <3
BUT TY ILYYYY
honestly i have thought abt doing mini tutorial videos before outside of the general speedpaints i used to do it's just a matter of sitting down n doing them.
One thing I love about Witch Hat Atelier is how Kamome Shirahama mixes and matches a bunch of different art styles.
The overall style of the manga seems to be mostly inspired by illustrations from old fairy tales
(Household stories from the collection of the Bros. Grimm 1922)
But Kamome combined this Fairy Tale style with elements from many other styles, for example:
-Art Nouveau
("Zodiac" by Alphonse Mucha 1896)
("illustration for Le Morte Darthur" by Aubrey Beardsley 1893)
-Baroque
("A New Book Of Ornaments With Twelve Leaves" Matthias Lock and Henry Copland, 1752)
- Rococo
("The Apotheosis of Hercules" François Lemoyne 1736)
-Western Comic Style
The western style should come as no surprise since Kamome did work for DC Comics
There are probably a lot more art styles hidden in Witch Hat Atelier that I missed, so let me know if you spot anything else.

hi! i love your art, it's so pretty ♥ and you draw feet really well, do you have any tips?
thank you a lot anon!! ( /)w(\) here, i made a few notes about the steps i follow while drawing feet:
^ that’s assuming you’re not drawing from a low perspective, as if the camera was on the floor or something like that!
SORRY MY HANDWRITING SUCKS and i’m not really good at explaining things bc i don’t really follow a guide and stuff so yeah BUT I HOPE IT WAS HELPFUL TO YOU!!

It was this one! It’s so simple and silly but it’s somehow remained one of my favorite shirts over the years, not for any reason I can place my finger on but just because it sparks joy :)
AAAA IT WAS THE OG DESIGN!!! That’s honestly so great I’m happy it brings you so much joy
Ok so I do see a few new people followin me after that ayato doodle so just to let ya’ll know I have been very dead from the dl fandom for a long while, in fact dead from this blog for a long while. But my friend nat wanted to show one of our mutual friends the anime so I've been in a dl mood, but I have been doing more stuff than that and maybe later today I'll post some new work I have and maybe I’ll do some requests later if I’m feeling up to it. That part is a MAYBE though. I just gotta see how im feeling after work!

What to consider of you are creating a Muslim OC or Muslim clothes that follows closely to the Qur'an and Hadith
Not every Muslim wear it like this, but this is a tutorial if you are considering designing Muslim clothes that follows closely to the guidelines.
I may add another tutorial in the future for stylized clothes or basic cloth head scarf tutorial. These are just basic guidelines to consider before designing the clothes.
