He starts out as a more harmless business rival to Seto Kaiba. Guan Tech has been looking into holographic technology to expand to other areas aside from gaming like housing and medical research. They also oversee cybersecurity/and cellphones.

•Jing-Sheng is a moral foil to Kaiba:

-Vain

-Jealous

-Arrogant Megalomaniac (non performative unlike Seto who is more “fake” in this type of persona. Seto is fake because he thinks he has to maintain this persona so he isn’t cut down by others. If he falls/fails then there is no one for Mokuba.)

-Believes in power/social hierarchy to the point of the Azula mindset “The divine right to rule”

He hates Seto and Mokuba for Seto especially clawing his way to the top. He doesn’t believe Seto deserves it because he wasn’t born at the top already. He thinks they are “orphan trash”

-Cogs in the machine are expendable/replaceable

(Seto acts like it does but values EVERY employee he has/paid them very well and treats them like human beings in a “arms length approach”)

-Acts all nice and polite to contrast Seto’s rudeness/brashness but he is actually really rude and cold on the inside

-Manipulative POS Nepo Baby filled with self importance/psychopathy

-Just wants to control and tear others down especially Seto to show Seto’s weakness that he hides. Jing-Sheng won’t just kidnap Mokuba as leverage he will take it to the extreme to break Seto’s psyche just BECAUSE HE CAN

american government has no low they wont sink to but so fucking vile of them to use yugi specifically in one of their childish pro fascism ads when kazuki takahashi was a vocally anti war author who called for people to vote against right wing ideology in japan and directly protested the iraq war in 2003. like they couldn't have spat on his grave in a more vile fashion.

While this is a bit personal to me I also can’t help but continuously think about Seto’s issues with his own self image. He always tries to act all put together and by having a mask. There is also his deep desperation for victory where it seems like he craves validation through winning. If he loses in anyway he thinks of himself as a failure and it weighs heavily. That’s partially why I think he needs to win to prove to others and HIMSELF that he is capable – that HE CAN, even though HE CAN NOT.
