Festy Volunteer (one page TTRPG)
The game master will be called the Event Coordinator, or EC. Each Player will make a character with one job and two talents. They must give their character a name and pronouns. The goal of the game is for the players to make it through their volunteer shifts while having as few panic attacks and negative ramifications as possible. When players are involved in stressful activities, their stress levels rise. Keep track of those levels. When a player engages with a stressful activity, roll a d10 if the number on the dice meets or is lower than that character's stress level, then that player begins to panic, and becomes part of the problem. Panics can be ended through natural course, or with successful Rescue, Deescalate, and Perform checks. Stress levels can be dropped by engaging with Perform checks. Observation is used to determine context. All checks are performed with a d10 + the relevant stat.
Jobs: Wearing the Uniform does in fact affect your headspace. Roll a d4 to determine your Job.
Talent: Roll two d20 until they are two different numbers, then combine those Talents for your character.
1-Acrobat +1 Rescue, +1 Observe, +1 Perform
*Ariel Grace* Acrobats may reroll 1's involved with preventing or recovery from their own panic.
2-Flow Prop Artist +2 Perform, +1 Deescalate
*Flow State* Deescalate rolls are doubled after successful Performances.
3-Crafter +2 Observe, +1 Deescalate
*Token of Friendship* When a crafter successfully observes and deescalates a chosen target, they may make that target a personalized gift, which will automatically prevent one panic attack.
4-Clown +2 Deescalate, +1 Perform
*Comedic Timing* clowns may hold their Perform actions until a targets turn, and use that check to either increase or decrease that targets action.
5-Musician +1 Deescalate, +1 Observe, +1 Perform
*Campfire Song* on a successful Deescalate or Perform check, musicians can instagate the audience surrounding in a campfire style song.
6-Wook +2 Deescalate, +1 Observe
*Ground Score* Once per 8 hour shift, wooks may groundscore something that instantly allows for a Deescalate or Rescue success.
7-Sparkle Pony +2 Rescue, +1 Observe
*Didn't Do Anything* Sparkle Ponies are immune to panic attacks, but the people they mooch off of are not.
8-Camp Host +2 Rescue, +1 Perform
*Takes a Village* the camp host has many people in their camp that they can depend on, but also depend on them.
9-Pyrotechnic +2 Perform, +1 Observe
*Controlled Flames* although this technique requires an hour of setup, fire related performances are doubled in bonus.
10-Exhibitionist +2 Observe, +1 Perform
*Empathy* the Exhibitionist may make Rescue checks with their Observe stat.
*Community Member* at the end of the festival, the Activists may make Observe checks to guide the direction of the festival as a whole.
*Breath Breathing* spending 5 minutes with a Yogi counts as a successful Rescue.
*Major Selecta* successful performance checks from a DJ will make their music affect the audience. Audience members will gain a +2 to any stat of the DJ's choosing.
14-Peacock +1 Deescalate, +1 Rescue, +1 Perform
*Self-care* peacocks can Deescalate, Rescue, and Perform for themselves.
*Snacks* snacks given by the Granola increase the results of Deescalation and Rescue attempts by +3 when eaten.
16-Mystic +1 Deescalate, +1 Rescue, +1 Observe
*Soul Bond* Mystics make trusted bonds with those they have Deescalated and Rescued.
17-Gossip +2 Deescalate, +1 Rescue
*Deal with the Devil* Fueled by the exchange of information, Observing can be done successfully automatically after a successful Deescalate.
18-Heckler +2 Rescue, +1 Deescalate
*Inside Joke* After anyone fails a roll, hecklers can allow that person one reroll per shift per person.
19-Blue Hare +2 Observe, +1 Rescue
*True Blue* Blue Hare are sensitive to vibes. Blue Hare gain double Rescue bonus on target they have previously successfully Observed.
20-Camp Cook +2 Perform, +1 Rescue
*Clutch Meal* A perfect meal takes time to provide, thankfully, the camp cook is prepared. Camp cooks can make at meal the size of 5 persons per half hour cooked up to 2 hours and 20 people per 8 hour shift. Consuming this perfect meal resets the consumer's panic to zero.
-Deescalate lowers emotional severity
-Rescue brings situation back from brink
-Observe intuits the situation
Each character will receive a job including two stat bonuses, and two talents including three stat bonus and a skill each. This will result in each character having eight allocated stat bonuses, and two skills.
