We will read our comic Skychaser for you! Micah has lived their entire life in a sleepy village, nestled among the desert rocks drawing on the power of the sun. The village is safe, and Micah has never really felt the urge to leave. But when their restless, adventure seeking best friend Azar sneaks off for what should have been a morning of riding along the sand on her surfer which ends up being much more, Micah will need to leave the safety of the village they know, and face a dangerous world like they’ve never imagined.

Join Don, Amanda, and Izzy as they do a short reading from Skychaser: Freefall which tells the story of Azar’s unsettling discovery among the sprawling cliffs, and the events that will ultimately set Micah on their journey in this solarpunk horror-eque adventure. A solarpunk commission I did a while back, which was basically a redraw of a page from our comic “Skychaser”. So interesting to revisit the page!

I was at the Comiciade in Eupen today, and drew our character Azar and her solar surfer! It was a lot of fun to revisit this character.

I will be at the CCXP in cologne! It’s a convention with comics and artist’s alley, but also RPGs and Fantasy and LARP themes, so I hope it will be exactly a con like I need. Come visit me at booth B-020f, in the artist’s alley in Hall 7.1. I will be there from Thursday, June 27th to Sunday, June 30! On Sunday, June 30, the amazing Sushi will join me at my booth, so come visit her too! See you at the con! ————————- Ich werde auf der CCXP in Köln sein! Es ist eine Convention mit Comics, Artist’s Alley, aber auch Rollenspielen, Fantasy und LARP-Zeug, also hoffe ich dass es eine Con wird, die genau das Richtige für mich ist. Kommt mich an meinem Tisch B-020f in der Artist’s Alley in Halle 7.1 besuchen. Ich werde von Donnerstag, 27. Juni bis Sonntag, 30. Juni da sein! Am Sonntag dem 30. This is a commission made at the Dokomi last week.

Mechanical penguin is still a fun concept! This design has smaller solar panels on the back, and bigger ones in the wings/fins. Like this, it can easily collect energy while sliding on its belly, or while swimming close enough to the surface. The pattern of the markings is inspired by an African penguin.

Das hier war eine Auftragszeichnung von der Dokomi, letzte Woche.

Ein mechanischer Pinguin ist auch ein tolles Konzept! Hier hat er kleinere Solarpanele auf dem Rücken und größere in den Flüglen/Flossen. So kann er leicht Energie sammeln wenn er auf dem Bauch rutscht, oder während er nah an der Wasseroberfläche schwimmt. Die Muster auf seinem Körper sind von einem Brillenpinguin inspiriert.

Es geht mit schnellen Schritten auf die Dokomi zu!

Ich bin dieses Mal mit als Zeichner in der Zeichnerallee mit dabei! :D Ich freue mich schon riesig. Esrse gibt ein paar neue Postkarten bzw Prints, und sogar meinen Inktober Comic als gedruckte Version! Sogar mit neuen extra Farbillustrationen, Übetzung, und ein paar Skizzen! Kommt mich an Stand H64 besuchen. Ich freu mich auf euch :) ~~

The Dokomi is approaching!

I will be there as an artist in the artist’s alley! :D I’m so excited! There will be a few new postcards and prints, and even my Inktober comic as the printed version! Including new coloured illustrations and some sketches! Come visit me at table H64. I’ll see you there :)

My 24-Hour-Comic 2018: "Immertus Plant" Page 1 - 3 [full comic]  [next part] Last year in october I participated in the 24 hour comic day, where you draw a 24 page comic in 24 hours. I will upload the result here! As you can easily tell while reading, my concentration and time per page got less and less as the time passed. :D It was a loooong 24 hours. The comic is not quite solarpunk, mostly because there wasn't time to add more to the village, and unsurprisingly, Art Nouveau-style designs take a lot of time :D I still imagine it as set in a solarpunk-y world, this comic just takes us a bit away from the technology. All art was done within the 24 hour limit. I made minimal changes to the text afterwards, and relettered it, because to get the text into it within the 24 hours, I just pasted in in there with no regard to readability :D I will post the comic spread out over a few posts. Enjoy!
