NEW ART
A Map of Middle Earth ✨🌱
I wanted to see if I can draw a map, so I tried it. Size A3 over a spread in my new big sketchbook. I used promarkers for the colouring, polychromos for the textures and details, black fineliners for some outlines and for the writing, and acrylic markers for tiny corrections 🌱✨
Thought it‘d be fun to draw a colourful map since the ones I see are mostly b/w or beige.
NEW ART ✨🌸
✨ Seraph of the Meadow
I randomly sketched this yesterday and thought it was a cool idea. Really love the result if I‘m being honest!! The ribcage is something I added in the end - I felt like the picture was missing something…
Follow for more ✨ I make nature , fantasy and witchy inspired art using watercolours, gouache, ink, coloured pencils and stuff like that 🌿
New Art!!
✨🌸 Sakura in full bloom 🌸✨
Death is not the opposite of life. Life has no opposite. The opposite of death is birth. Life is eternal.

Done in Holbein Watercolor
🌱 Two pieces I created for the upcoming CSD parade in my town! Two months to go but I wanna be prepared lol. Also, I gotta get these printed. I‘ll have some Postcards, some stickers and one medium sized print. Not exactly sure yet which one will be which size. I‘m also working on more designs atm. Can‘t wait!!
🌱 We went to look at the toads today! There were hundreds that we could see, probably thousands that we couldn‘t see and I‘m just so in love with their little sounds that they make. Such a serene little choir.
Hello please reblog this if you’re okay with people sending you random asks to get to know you better
🪨 Spent all afternoon and evening painting Hagrid‘s Hut. Kinda obsessed with how this turned out… I also filmed the process for yt hehe
🌱 Carnival in Germany and I‘m using my normal clothes and strategic accessories to dress up in hobbit clothes. I had my ears, and when I arrived at work I swapped the shoes for diy huge hobbit feet. Got tons of compliments haha!
my tumblr app has this bug that when i scroll and come upon an ad it plays its music, but it doesn‘t stop when i scroll on. so the next ad‘s music layers on top and the next one, as well and so on and so forth
The Sea of Corruption
This one turned out so cool! It was also the first one I finished because it looked the prettiest after the ink had dried. It was created on Hahnemühle paper that absorbed the water better and the beautiful texture of the paper interacted really nicely with the neocolor crayons, resulting in a nice grain. It‘s also crazy to see how well my tape sticks to better quality paper.. The picture ended up reminding me lots of the Sea of Corruption, the forests of giant mushrooms that cover the world in the Studio Ghibli film „Nausicaä“.
I almost wanted to leave it be and enjoy the dried result of the wet on wet mingle of pigments that you see in the picture below:
I love humans. Saw this stone in a flower bed outside of my work, and it appears that some kid drew butterflies on it and placed it there. It‘s so fun to walk around with eyes open to spot stuff like this ♥️
🌳 Ant‘s Eye View of the Forest
Second piece that came of my „Intuitive Abstract Art“ Session last weekend.
Here, I manipulated the shapes a little more by not wetting the entire sheet of paper but painting the clear water in shapes already. The drops of colourful ink then did the rest, spreading the pigment and mixing and blending and flowing into each other.
The combination of colors and shapes really obviously cried „forest“ so crayon textured I added made the shapes into trees. I think.
✨ Intuitive Abstract Art
This weekend I thought I should try out something new and splashed random colours of ink (Rohrer & Klingner) together on a wet piece of paper.
I did 3 versions, I‘ll share the others later. This one was the first and I thought it was irredeemably ugly, especially with the second and third try next to it but when I went at it with my wax crayons (Caran d‘Ache Neocolor II) it ended up becoming.. something. I‘m kind of seeing a coral reef in it?
I absolutely love this approach to art. Most of it was up to the water and the pigments without me manipulating it too much. The result is chaotic and imperfect but to me it kind of has to be. That‘s what makes me look closer and look again and again.
✨ saturnia finished - with beautiful shimmery star and moon details ♡
Maybe I should base my first collection of original art that I‘m gonna offer in my shop on this design? I love the muted colours and the sparkle and the simple white background ✨
