The video for Carve It Out is the last piece of the puzzle for our record 'Motto'. It was shot in Leeds outside the Brudenell Social Club (thanks Nathan) by the brilliant Giles Smith, whose bravery in maintaining close proximity to Nestor's Thor-like hammering was remarkable.
Today, our third record turns one. Happy Birthday 'Motto'! As a present we've got you this still from the final piece of the 'Motto' puzzle... a new video by the very talented Giles Smith will be with you soon. Keep your eyes peeled (and wrap up, brrr).

Here’s a Brazil 2014-inspired playlist for you to enjoy during your month of football watching and otherwise. At the end of the day, here's a playlist you can stick on as an alternative to punditry and samba drums

Time running out to help Seattle studios restore Neve used by Soundgarden, Blind Melon
We lay down the live track foundations for two of our records in London Bridge's wonderful live room, and thanks to John Goodmanson's mastery of this desk, it felt like trapping lightning in a jar.
It was unfortunate timing for this great desk that digital recording came into vogue just after the grunge of its parent city went out of fashion, making large-scale studios rarer than ever. At the same time, though, the democracy of technology has allowed a window into understanding the process of music production, meaning that there are perhaps now more people than ever that can appreciate what a machine like this can do.
It's kind of like appreciating paintings in the photographic age (and beyond): cultural treasures should still be restored even if they're not seen as the medium of the day.
The studio's current owners (who weren't holding the reins in the grunge age) have done a wonderful job revitalising London Bridge and we wish them the best for their campaign.
