I've beaten the main elder dragon of the story thus far in Wilds and all I have to say is this. I hate the fact my hunter speaks, he's not my hunter but a character with no name. And I miss MH speak. As fun as MHWilds is I find myself preferring MHWorld to it. Now I'm not saying Wilds is bad! (On a pc with a 7800xt and 7600x CPU I stress. I suspect I got my card wrong in the last thing). But hearing someone else's words meant for MY hunter gets a bit irritating occasionally.

I hope the dlc adds MH speak or that a mod is in the works. Least that'll make hearing MY hunter feel more like the character he is and belonging in the world.

"why do you keep saying my hunter?" Easy! He's my character. Has no lore other than what I come up with. He's not Link or Peter parker or whatever, the hunter in Monster Hunter is one you create. I find having said Hunter's personality already dictated takes away from the fact they're meant to be whatever you decide.

So I finally started mhwilds and I'm disappointed they removed the Monster Hunter language, got even more disappointed when it appeared they removed the cat's meow speak but thankfully that's a toggle. I hope MH speak gets added via dlc or mods.

Other than that I so far like the changes to the combat. Especially the mounting as that's now a prompt windows as opposed to just hitting the monster enough times for screen boarders to turn yellow. And I adore the seikret combat this far.

That said I do prefer MHWorld and MHR overall (probably because my first MH game was 4u). To anyone worried about wilds however I'm confident you'll have a good time at the very least.

This just came to me after watching a short about deer calf's and how they just drop at the sign of danger untill they're old enough to run. Would humanoid Pokémon like Gallade, Ceruledge, Bisharp etc be persistent hunters?

Perhaps that's explained in that Pokémon documentary book thing (which I want to get so bad but I can't read Japanese).

Was shiny hunting for either huge or tiny Charcadets, didn't get any teensy or jumbo shinies but I did get two normal jumbos.

Finally! A shiny charcadet. Now to repeat the process just to get a chance for sparking donuts (why did gamefreak think rng for shiny boost odds was a good idea?).

Update: so I caught two more, I now have the line completed for shinies as soon as I get armour fragments.

So I got myself Hyrule warriors age of imprisonment and now I'm wondering if a warriors game would work in Pokémon. We do have a fire emblem-esque Pokémon game ala Pokémon conquest so it's not entirely out of scope for the franchise.

Also can we have a conquest remaster or sequel please The Pokémon Company/Game freak?

So apparently oot is getting another remake. Time to add another Ocarina of time to my collection and revisit Hyrule of olde.

I still want my TPHD on switch though damnit.
