I saw someone drew Tim as Sam (I think) and honestly? I see the vision. Though I think in this scenario it would be Tim looking for Bruce and Jay would be the one he's dragging around to help him look for their dad.

Kryptonians and Heartbeat

I really adore the fact (iirc it's mentioned in the comics somewhere) that Clark and Jon knows Bruce and Damian's heartbeat. I just finished writing a fic on Jon and Damian's based on this idea (not brave enough to post in anywhere though...yet...? Idk... Sorry, I've never posted anything I write😭) and I'm somewhat aware that Damian has died in the comics, like, I think one time? Maybe a few times, I haven't read it. BUT I was wondering if Jon was around at the time that happened. Or was it during the time he was away and before coming back grown? I imagined when they do meet again at one point to either hang out and catch up or for something hero work related, Damian wouldn't just randomly be like "Hey, yeah, glad you made it. Being dead kinda sucks."

AND if he did, I'd like to imagine Jon doing a double take to process what in the world did he just hear and probably goes, "And how would you know that?" while Damian just shrugged it off, going "Y'know, because I died this one time. Didn't you know about this?" And Jon, bewildered, would just stared at him pointedly saying no, because why would he know about this, right?

That's the more light-hearted headcanon and that's not what I've written in my drafts.

What I have is a "What if Damian died when Jon was already back. But he had been away for so long he, well, didn't forget, but didn't really paid attention to Damian's heartbeat more than he used to and when Damian died, he just felt something was missing but he couldn't figure out what's wrong." But then Damian came back to life, right? One day things just went back to normal and he shrugged it off like it was probably nothing.

That is, until Damian died again.

This time? Damian died right in front of Jon's eyes. And he never connected the dots so fast before when he realized the "thing" that was missing was Damian's heartbeat in the background of his life.
