Hello.

This account is dead, the fandom is pretty much dead.

I'll get to the point—I have long abandoned this account. I no longer have interest in Slashfic, hence I stopped posting altogether.

That doesn't mean I'm deleting this account, though. I'm not doing that. This account brought me many friends and memories, as well as some reasons why I'm here now. The account slashfic-daydreams will now be an archive of the posts I made.

However, I do still have a couple of asks in my inbox. Will I finish them? Maybe. I'll see what I can do.

I made a little doodle for Themis's birthday (OC of @slashfic-daydreams)

My own birthday is this weekend, and I am celebrating by trying a bunch of fruit I've never had before, so I am sharing with Themis.

The fruit is called cherimoya, and I will be trying it and some other fruits tomorrow with my friends. Happy birthday Themis!

Redesigns Drawings

Fellas, there is actual visual media this time instead of a wall of text thanks to the positive reinforcement of a single individual, and I know all the other creatives on here probably resonate with that. External validation for dessert, yippee! These are just doodles because I didn't want to commit to full drawings when I still wasn't sure about the designs, but I may do more detailed/ higher effort ones later.

There is still an additional wall of text for those who want to read it, and I apologize for my low quality phone camera.

This is just the line art because I always fear that coloring will ruin it. Fortunately, I think the colors turned out okay except for some colors being a little too saturated. I tried to overlay the markers to make the right color, but too much would tear my flimsy printer paper. Mike ended up looking a little patriotic because of that, but that's kind of on brand for the Dunlaps anyway.

This is the version with colors. I think Ghost's skin tone ended up being too yellow, but I only have like four light skin color markers and I wanted some distinction between him and Jay and Mike. In future drawings I think I'll just use the same color I did for Mike and maybe use different colors to shade. One day I will force myself to learn digital art so that I can use the whole color spectrum.

For Leather, I think if I had a less saturated blue it would work okay. Maybe the stripes could also be a dark brown or gray. I also gave him his locket back.

I gave Ghost a varsity jacket because those were a popular fashion statement on colleges in the 90s (from what I've seen online, at least. I was not born yet.) I kept the combat boots and ripped jeans because those are both period appropriate and I think fit the character. I also gave him his theatre ID back on a lanyard. I may put a little repeating cartoon ghost design on the lanyard on more detailed drawings.

The picture of Jay is kind of blurry, but his design I kept mostly the same aside from giving him a shirt, more freckles, and making his hair more curly. I also meant to give him some facial hair, but forgot before posting, so oops. I based the logo on the Camp Crystal Lake logo from Friday the 13th, but simplified it and made it black, white, and red to match the modern Camp Nevermoor logo. I think it would be neat if he had the shirt from when he was a counselor and that the logo has since changed. I also gave him a friendship bracelet and a necklace, but I made two options for both because I couldn't pick. The friendship bracelet is supposed to represent the main four slashers, so the two color options are based on the main colors in the redesigns for one and the colors of their masks for the other. The two necklaces are of a bird skull or Carol's hairpin. I made the bird skull specifically a chickadee because they are the state bird of Massachusetts, and they represent joy, warnings of danger, and intelligence (from the brief search I did.) The bird skull also gives a nod to his connection to Damien/Freddie. For Carol's hairpin, I just looked up references from the 50s-60s since that's when she probably would have gotten it, but it wasn't shown or described much other than being “ornate,” so I'm really not sure on the design.

I had the hardest time with Mike's. I wish I had a less saturated blue, because he kind of ended up looking like he's dressed as Uncle Sam. I think the ideas are still pretty solid, though. I looked at outfits people wore to country clubs in the 70s and added the Dunlap family crest. I was so close to drawing him in the goofy golfer getup, but I don't think it fits his personality, as funny as it would be. I also gave him his hospital bracelet back.

Chapter 1: Within The Forests

Synopsis: Themis is lost in the forests, having to face what hides within.

Warning(s): mild cursing, nyctophobia, anxiety attack

Note: Hello, everyone! Here is the rewritten version of Chapter 1. I decided to give a couple of changes because I was very unsatisfied with the first output. I hope my writing improved here hehe anyway may you all enjoy the read! :DDD

THWACK!

The labrys chops down the firewood, splitting it in half as chunks are scattered all over the place. Heavy breaths echo across the forests, drops of sweat falling to ground. Themis grabs another log, grunting as she splits it down with precision. Throughout the woodchopping, the sun is high in the sky while the birds sing a melody, the wind blowing across with gentleness. The woman smiles to herself. “Plenty of time.”

Hours passed and Themis finally jogs back to her spot. She pants heavily, beads of sweat glistening on toned arms. She reaches for a towel to wipe and a water bottle to drink. She lets out a breathy laugh.

“Damn!” She groans loudly while stretching, “I overdid it again!” A huff comes out of her before she looks at the sky. “Okay. What time is it anyway?”

The sun remained shining brightly on her, but she could see it moved to the west now. The birds’ singing became quieter as well. A long yawn leaves Themis’ lips before she rubs her eye. “Yep, it’s time for a nap.”

Themis sits on the ground and leans against a tree. She puts her hands behind her head before another yawn comes out. She gazes elsewhere, smiling proudly to herself. Exhaustion gradually came like a wave that silently consumed her. It then completely takes hold as she closes her eyes for one more time.

…

Ugh… where am I?

A low grunt comes out of Themis’ lips, discomfort rushing in when the bark rubs against skin. She opens her eyes and looks around the place, only to sigh in realization. The woman stands up for a good stretch. Really, Nana? Again?

She looks at her surroundings again—the forests were now colored in dark purple and orange, and the trees have turned into black silhouettes. The chirping came from crickets now instead of birds. The breeze was chilling against her skin. A warm cup of coffee would be nice.

She picks up her labrys, swinging it over her shoulder before she goes on her way. With each step she took, more light vanished behind the trees. Maybe they were closing in, too. The woman swallows, a bead of sweat growing on her forehead.

Themis walks faster now. Her eyes darted everywhere, searching for at least a small glint of light, but each turn led to a dead end. At this point, everything around her was nothing but pitch black. Themis’ breathing became shallow, her head turning everywhere with sheer desperation. Her feet start to sprint—the trees blur in front of her, her shoes crunching down the leaves beneath.

She stops. Her eyes squeeze shut, trying to drown away the thoughts in her head. Her hand clutches onto her chest.

Breathe. She tells herself. It’s okay. You’ll get out of here. You always do.

Themis decides to let her feet lead without thoughts. It was risky—stupid even—but it might be the way back. A phone would be useful. If only she had it with her right now, that is. She passes through an endless series of trees and darkness; each step came with a sensation: there was something crawling up on her back, she could feel eyes looking behind the trees, and a voice, distorted and incoherent, whispers into her ear. Themis’ breathing becomes quick, her pace becoming frantic once again. The feeling rises once more, and it suffocates her chest. She could only tighten her grip on the labrys.

SNAP!

Themis immediately stops. Everything stilled as if the twig caused time to freeze. The forests were silent. Too silent. She can hear her heartbeat pounding against her chest, accompanied by her worsening sharp breaths. Her head turns to the ground, only for her heart to sink further.

Where is…?

Another twig snaps, but it was forgotten when the clanking of hooves echoed. Themis wasted no time, her feet running off to wherever was safe. But the sound grew louder by each second, followed by a broken neigh that sounded too loud. She keeps looking everywhere, a part of her hoping that there will be an exit this time, only to realize she has been running in circles. Themis felt bile crawling up her throat, and she gags when it tries to come out. She finds a thick bush and settles behind it. The forests were silent now, only her deep breathing repeating until she was calm. For now, she was sure that nobody could find her there.

She stares at her labrys with furrowed brows. She could have used it, but it was a risky choice. What if the animal was huge? Her mind thinks about the hot coffee back at the clinic. She frowns when her stomach growls in response.

She really needs to leave this place.
