Hi lovelies! We’ve noticed that notes on a lot of open starters have been a little low lately, so this is a gentle reminder to hit the blog up whenever you can. We know that many of you have a lot going on lately, but the starter blog really is an integral part in making sure the group stays active and welcoming to new members.

There isn’t a rule around this (and we want to keep it this way since we’ve been doing well without one), so we just want to strongly encourage you to reply to a few starters whenever you post one of your own. Thank you <3

“Hey, um…excuse me!” the brunette called out ahead of her, to get the attention of the person a fair distance ahead of her. From her point of view, it appeared that they were the only two people still lingering in the park, despite the sun having set a while ago, which was a bit unsettling for the young woman. Still, deciding to throw caution to the wind, Romy’s feet quickened their pace as she closed the areal gap between them, careful to keep her footing as she traipsed through the short, well-kept grass of the park. “Yeah, hi,” Romy greeted almost breathlessly as she finally came to a sudden stop just a few feet shy of them. “I’m really sorry to bother you, but have you by chance seen a lost phone laying about anywhere?”

Location: Outside Oasis, 24 hour coffee shop, etc

Normally at eleven at night Breanne would have been preparing for a shift at Golden Griddle. But instead she was parking her car in it’s spot and making her way back to her apartment. Exhausted and if her brain could be sore from obtaining information, it would be. She regretted nothing. She had not one complaint except she wished her car could handle the drive better. It was hard to not look at the binder full of information she obtained as a new intern.

She hoped the extra money to be made would cover the increased money she’d be spending on sunscreen. Her internship involved field work. A lot of field work… in the middle of a Californian summer… She didn’t know which was hotter, Golden Griddle’s kitchen or just anywhere outside… The only added bonus they sometimes had were occasional clouds or a breeze. Her poor hat might spontaneously combust by the time this was over. 

But it was worth it. Everyone was professional and friendly to the group of interns. They started a group chat because individually adding everyone’s social media was too hectic for them all. It was immediately put on mute for the night. Because she needed sleep. Waking up super early and running on three cups of coffee throughout the day was coming back to haunt her. Speaking of which there was a coffee cup graveyard piling up in her passenger seat that needed to go. So out they went to the nearest garbage can while Breanne hoped no one judged her.

Honestly, Waves didn’t care if anybody thought they looked ridiculous in their rainbow unicorn fairy costume. They’d stopped caring how others viewed them a long time ago; and they’d come to realize their life had been better off since then. Besides, their costume had brought bright smiles to the faces of many passerbys already. Some individuals had actually asked for a photo with the brunette; and one adorable little cutie even came running over { much to the momentary panic of their dads } to show off that they too had a magic wand and fairy wings! 

As they walked down the street with Atlas { their service dog who had swapped his usual pink vest out for a pastel rainbow one } in tow, they noticed someone’s gaze lingering a bit longer than normal. This led the brunette to feel the need to say something. “If you want a photo, you better act now. I’m thinking about charging soon.” They teased, hoping the joking tone came across in their voice. Sometimes they weren’t entirely sure.

“Okay, I got one,” Diamond panted as she came up for air, “In a apocalyptic scenario - say, on a The Walking Dead high-risk level - would you rather team up with Superman and Batman, or Captain America and Thor?” she asked her pool mate, as she swam over to take a moment’s rest against the side of the pool, having just done a near dozen laps.

“This guy at the hardware store really tried to mansplain how to remove wallpaper to me. I had to bite my tongue because I didn’t wanna get thrown out but I wish I had woken up and chosen violence this morning.”

          he’s been caught red-handed. arm outstretched, poised to slip a folded flyer into the slim metal gap of a stranger’s mailbox, there’s really no way around the obvious. garrett knows it, too, which is what keeps him frozen in place for a few seconds too long to make a run for it. even if he tries to lie now, the several other mailboxes dotted with neon green slips sticking out of the slots prove that he’s a repeat offender. he narrows his eyes, mock-serious, and attempts to bribe, “i’ve got a crisp five dollar bill with your name on it if you forget i was ever here.”

“Well now, what’s that you got there?” Jeremy said loudly, attracting the attention of someone passing in front of him in the middle of the street. He gestured to something on their person, what definitely looked to his well-trained eye to be an antique. He hadn’t anticipated the number of people that would be wandering around Los Angeles completely ignorant of the worth of some of their jewelry, clothes, and material possessions, but he was quickly coming to love it here. “You mind if I take a look? I’m somethin’ of an aficionado, you might say.”​

Pem stood at the register, patiently waiting for the beeping of scanned items to stop so she could ask for help. Kuzey sat to her left, alert and watching their surroundings as Pem held onto the handle of his service vest. When she heard the receipt being torn she smiled and stepped forward, but she couldn’t be sure if she was talking to the cashier or not, unfamiliar with the layout of the venue. “Sorry to interrupt. I was wondering if there was an employee that could show me around. I tried to find an app for the store and it wasn’t on InstaCart.”

“So now that my sister’s pointed that out, I can’t decide if it’s really funny or just completely ridiculous.” She sighed deeply in a moment almost straight out of Real Housewives and took a sip from her drink. “When we’re finally married I’m basically gonna be a Fischer-Price. How stupid is that?”

It didn’t matter how many times it happened. Seeing one of his movie posters up on a billboard always made Rex’s heart flutter. There was pride in his work, seeing the poster was the end of all the hard slog and the trips away. He gazed at it and then smiled at the person nearby. “ Would you see that at the movies? or Just wait for it on Netflix?” He asked looking briefly at them before looking back up at the poster.

Location: Near Silverlake Meadows

A hobby Eva had seriously neglected was archery. It felt like a lost cause over the past few years, but it was so nice out lately. Her bow had been calling her name and her choices were sell it or try and pick it up again. So pick it up again she did. Picking a time when Silver Lake Meadows was empty was tricky, but eventually the park cleared out. She and Trevor had gone to the sporting good store to get her some new targets to practice with. It took a moment figuring out where to put them but soon she was ready. She placed the arrow and pulled back. Her hands weren’t as shaky, vision had drastically improved since the last time she attempted this. Feeling a bit of confidence, Eva let the bow go, while it wasn’t a bullseye, it was still close enough to the middle. It was silly to keep any sort of point system as she was by herself, but she had a little notebook to keep score. She scribbled down a seven then picked up another arrow.

“Okay, so maybe I went a little overboard at the farmer’s market,” Diamond reluctantly conceded as she sheepishly eyed the half-dozen bags she currently had laying at her feet, as she took a sip from her iced coffee. “Now that I’m looking at everything, I doubt anyone needs eight different beach cover-ups in their collection.” Damn her shopping addiction.
