I had opened up the GW2 Warp discord to troubleshoot an issue I was having and saw they had a channel for "free A.I character art." Immediately left the discord and uninstalled the program. Just so people are aware.

An update thanks to @mystery-salad poking in after I'd mentioned it: they also have an entire section for a.i generated character rp and links to "lies about a.i generated images." So it sounds like the entire addon was developed by a.i bros. Which is a pity since there's really no other overlays for rpers like that.

Introducing my gw2 character, Rhys Mal an undead sylvari who uses necrotic magic to keep himself alive. In life he was experimented on where foreign organic material was fused with his own, allowing him to be risen as an abomination by Zhaitan's necrotic magic, as well as 'awaken' from the mother trees sweet song.

It’s lore time! =D

True facts, raising the dead used to be forbidden. As in the God of Death at the time (Dhuum) thought it was abhorrent. No undead allowed. You die, you stay dead.

Now, at some point (way way back), one of the other gods, Dwayna, took a mortal lover and had a child with him. The mortal lover was named Malchor, and he was a sculptor. Being both a renowned sculptor and the lover of a literal God, he decided to try to sculpt a statue of Dwayna to perfectly capture her essence.

Obviously he failed, because she was a God and he was a perfectionist.

So what did he do?

He threw himself off a cliff and drowned, because nothing mattered if he couldn’t give Dwayna the perfect gift: herself, but made out of rock. Nevermind the kid, it’s fine, death is clearly the only option.

Of course, it was not fine. Dwayna was utterly devastated. She was so fucking upset. She really, really loved this dude. But hey, she’s a God right? So clearly she can just go and bring him ba—

Oh wait, nope, not while Dhuum is the God of Death. Dhumm denied Dwayna’s request, full stop.

So clearly the only option here was to kill Dhuum and take his domain. Clearly.

But Dwayna couldn’t do it herself. She already had her own domain, as well as being the de facto leader of the gods. So who, may you ask, was the perfect candidate?

Her half-mortal child, Grenth.

And that is the story of how Grenth and his reaper buddies descended to the underworld, kicked Dhuum’s ass, stole his domain, and made necromancy legal.

gw2 headcanon: just as American Sign Language makes use of facial expressions, ear movements and tail movements in Asura and Charr sign languages can change the meaning of a sign. 

Non-asura who learn Asura Sign Language have what could be considered an accent, as they don’t have the big ears, but do have an extra finger. Equivalent movements have been developed for people with pinkies to modify signs. 

Meanwhile, non-charr who learn Charr Sign Language use facial expressions to modify signs in lieu of the emotional modification charr signers signal with their tails. 

Universal tyrian sign languages make little use of the pinky and heavy use of facial expressions.

Nhimm alledgedly holds a double degree. In what? Good question!

Went from Inquest Employee of the month to in the top 10 Inquest most wanted with one weird trick!

Way too invested in his necromancy research, would rather die than hand it over (but he also doesn't want to die)

Had to go to a human dentist after a run in with the inquest, ended up with perfectly straight freakish teeth for an asura

Slicks back his hair to look more 'professional' but really has an unruly tangle of hair (the humidity in Maguuma does not help)

"Nhimm is questionably a Dr at best, and at worst is an unethical maniac, willing to sell anyone out to further his own research. He started out starry eyed as a young Medic within the Inquest out to save lives and help people, but too many close calls with death left him with questions about the mortal world of flesh that normal science couldn't provide answers to. Time turned him jaded and cynical, the cycle of life, death and resurrection his play things. He'll experiement on you! He'll experiment on your dog! He'll experiment on himself if it furthers his understanding of necromancy. Nhimm is quite lazy in nature most of the time, everything an effort unless his interest in engaged, sleazy and loose with his morals and work ethic, he wasn't the model employee but for what he lacked in efficiency he made up for in slap dash sparks of brilliance. Despite the extensive monetary support from the Inquest for his research, Nhimm longed and craved the freedom to do whatever he wanted without constant progress reviews and eyes watching his back. So he decided to quit, absconding with all of his dark research and the entirety of the funds allocated to him by the Inquest. Now setting up research facilities, freelancing here and there as a medic Nhimm is perpetually on the run from the Inquest, which while troublesome for him at least has kept life interesting. Most likely to be found around the outskirts of Rata Sum, or hiding out somewhere in the winding alleyways of Lion's Arch"

Guild Wars 2: Gyala Delve

Idk how, but gw2 managed to create the most attractive female body type to me in the charr. 8 feet tall, four horns, four ears, terrifying, gorgeous, furry, flat-chested. I just want to curl up with my giant cat wife tbh.

Apart from that though, I still genuinely think the charr are the best designed fantasy race ever. They're just kinda mesmerizing to look at.
