I left this place in June 2017. I thought if i went away a while I’d find a reason to return eventually, but other than apologizing for not giving enough people contact info to find me elsewhere I never did.

I’m sorry I didn’t keep contact with some of you; I am prone to long bouts of hermitage and uprooting, only to feel like too much has time has passed to talk to someone again without coming off as an unwanted guest.

If you know my name, I won’t be hard to find. Thank you all for your kindness. I’ve never forgotten it.

My new book is about to wrap up, and is open for pre-orders!

Raw Paper is a compilation of drawings from the last several years, before any painting or toning is applied (basically before any “finishing”, just raw drawings). Along with each image is the technical specs, from pencils used to the size; many drawings are even presented in the book at the original size which they were drawn.

Raw Paper also includes several drawings that have yet to be posted publicly; above are 4 detail shots from a couple drawings debuting in the book!

Buy the envelopes I made when I was bored. Mix and match; specify what you like. $5 for 13 of them (38 cents per envelope). The rose patterned ones have a limit of 5; they were the wrapper of flowers I gave to my grandmother for Mother’s Day, and have staple marks.

Did I mention I was a fan of performance arts like dance and ballet?

And this is when Google and people letting you know things is ruddy amazing.  I got the heads up from the kind people at Anatomy 360: http://www.anatomy360.info/ via their Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/anatomy360?fref=nf   (these people are working hard to make a really big comprehensive anatomy reference site with real models and interactive… stuff; I’ve been keeping an eye on them for a while).

The Alvin Ailey Dancers have some stunning photographs of their members performing spectacular moves to advertise themselves.  The new-old adage: “Google is your friend” really does hit home as this was the result of a simple image search.  Anyway, try it yourself and see more anatomy reference if you’re looking for dynamic real-life poses.  And if you’re in New York, Stateside and you’re lucky enough to see them in person, do so!  Nothing beats seeing the body in motion in real life.
