The Castiel love confession is sad for sure, one of the saddest moments in the whole show,

But.

You know what's sadder? Endverse Cas, practically human but still with enough angel senses to figure Dean out immediately, being asked by Dean if he's coming on their mission KNOWING -because if Dean knows then of course he knows, it was obvious- that he's a decoy. And yet, he pauses, but he says "of course" anyway.

Now THAT is the saddest moment in the show.

It's very clear that Andrew Tate and other "redpill" influencers of his ilk didn't understand The Matrix (or maybe didn't even watch it) it they think that escaping the Matrix means living a life of luxury and fame. They got it exactly backwards.

Escaping the Matrix in the movie means living a life of hardship and discomfort. But it's a life that is full of genuine experiences and connections that aren't designed to exploit you.

To hammer the point even more, the motivation of the traitor character is to live a life of luxury and fame inside the Matrix, not caring that it's fake.

this. this right here is why so many people relate to spock. because we've all felt like a true outsider at some point in our lives or at the very least craved to be fully understood by someone, anyone. especially if you're in a marginalized group where the world can seem against you at times. you just want to know that at least one person fully sees you for who you are and chooses to stay. that seems so hard to obtain at times because "Of course, most times when he reaches out for it, he gets his fingers burned."
