neil gets into an car accident, and andrew is, to put it mildly, beside himself. he’s in another state, and there’s no one else around. kevin, jean, and jeremy have a championship coming up soon, so they physically can’t be with him. andrew barely leaves the hospital; he doesn’t answer calls and withdraws into himself. just one look at neil, hooked up to all those tubes, sends him into a panic.

when he stops answering his phone, kevin is the first to sound the alarm. this isn’t like andrew. he would have given any of them a stern talking-to for such antics long ago. that’s why, as soon as kevin realizes something is wrong, he immediately rushes out, calling jean on the way. jeremy books the tickets right away.

they meet at the airport, bewildered, but for some reason so anxious that it feels impossible to breathe. kevin checks his phone, hoping for a message from andrew and neil, but the messages remain unanswered.

as if to make matters worse, their flight is delayed. when jean fails to reach andrew for the fortieth time, he has a panic attack right in the middle of the airport. something is definitely wrong.

jeremy checks their group chat and sees a single message there:

“neil’s in the icu. i don’t think i can breathe.”

it seems like none of them can breathe right now. jean is arguing with the receptionist; kevin is clutching his cell phone so tightly his hands are turning white; and jeremy... jeremy thinks it might be time to call in family connections, no matter how much he hates the idea.
