Cinderella Castle by Koen Via Flickr: Back in 2016 LEGO revealed a beautiful Disney Castle (set 71040). As many of you know this set only contains the front half of the castle with the backside showing rooms and interior. Part of me wished to build the other half with a bit of environment to make a complete castle. Unfortunately it would take up too much space, parts and money. To make my wish come true I set out to design a miniature version of the Cinderella Castle (including the scenery) located in both the Magic Kingdom in Florida and Tokyo Disneyland. The result is what you see in the pictures. This ‘slice of Disneyland’ is build on 1 baseplate of 48 x 48 studs, contains about 3000 parts and took about 3 months to design and build. The plaza in front of the castle contains a small mosaic of a star. This mosaic is a design by the admirable LEGO mosaic builder Katie Walker Find my builds also on: Facebook
