Great British Castles

S1:E6 “Carrickfergus”

Seeing as this castle is in Ulster, the episode consisted of rehashing the entire history of the British-Irish conflict, in terms suited for children (or Americans). I was asleep before Queen Elizabeth I showed up.

The WHOLE second season

I am not exaggerating when I say that this season of TV was the best sleep of my life.  I fell asleep within 5 minutes of starting every single episode, and I usually woke up in the last scene.  This was the pure, beautiful sleep of a newborn–I could barely tell that time had passed, but I felt totally rested. And these were totally unbroken naps–I found out months later that Elektra was a character in this show.  Apparently this is as good a way as any to watch the show. I’m told the giant hole (seen above) makes just as much sense to me as it does to the awake viewers.

UNSEALED: Conspiracy Files

S1:E5, “Zombies”

This episode from the Hitler-in-the-Andes genre of conspiracy TV had everything going for it: zombies, flu vaccine, Night of the Living Dead footage (I learned some fun trivia about why it’s in the public domain, thank you Rob). It starts out doing Miami proud, highlighting our favorite bath salts zombie! In fact, I texted my sister at 11:07 PM EST about the episode; I was asleep by the time she responded at 11:12.
