Dave: Take Jade to the beach.
“Yeah, that makes sense,” she says with a small nod. She was secretly thankful that they were almost there because she had no idea how much longer she could drag a conversation out of her.
As if to answer her unspoken hope, he makes one last turn, entering the parking lot for the nearby beach. He turns off the car and gets out, stepping on over to her side so he can open the door for her. Apparently Dave Strider can also be a gentleman. Who knew?
(( I owe a reply don't I? ))
(( *Goes to do that* ))

The Judge. always the judge.
(( Gonna make it with a different e-mail. I was gonna delete and use this one's e-mail but people apparently like this Dave so I'll keep him. ))

Dave: Take Jade to the beach.
He smiles really big. “Sharks. I love sharks.”
Jade raises her eyebrows and smiles. “Wow! Sharks!” she says with a small giggle. “That’s pretty cool. I was always kind of scared of sharks.”
"Most people are." He makes a turn, getting closer to the beach. "The only reason they attack people is because they're hungry though...it's not like they're doing it just to kill, y'know?"
Dave: Take Jade to the beach.
“That sounds pretty neat! ‘Cause there are like a billion animals in the ocean, right? Were you hoping to focus on anything in specific?”
He smiles really big. "Sharks. I love sharks."
Dave: Take Jade to the beach.
“Yeah, it is!” she said cheerfully. “What kind of job are you hoping to get with marine biology once you get out of college?”
"Honestly I'm not sure. Spending time with animals is what I'm looking forward to most...I suppose being able to study them is what I want."
Dave: Take Jade to the beach.
“Yep that’s right.” He flashes a smile over at her before focusing on the road. She didn’t know it, but he was kind of stumped too. “What is it that you do?”
“Astronomy research,” she answers him. “It’s nothing too fancy. Mostly just looking up at the sky and doing math. But I really love it.”
"Sounds like fun." He leans one arm against the windowsill while the other keeps driving.
Dave: Take Jade to the beach.
“Oh, you just finished a semester? That’s cool. You’re studying marine biology, right?” Jade mentally berates herself for being so bad at small talk.
"Yep that's right." He flashes a smile over at her before focusing on the road. She didn't know it, but he was kind of stumped too. "What is it that you do?"
Dave: Take Jade to the beach.
She nods. “Busy,” she says, turning to him. “But good. I like being busy.” She gives him a small smile. “What about you?”
"Yeah I had a busy week too. Just finished a semester of college and now I'm getting a bit of a break."
Dave: Take Jade to the beach.
“This sounds good to me,” Jade says. She’s not too much of a music junkie, anyway. She was never picky about it. She crosses her legs, showing off their slender figure, and looks out the window, admiring the common scenery that she passed so much.
"Aight cool."
It'd been a while since he invited anyone to go to the beach with him; he's not too sure what else to say. He does take a moment to admire her figure though.
"Have a good week?"
Dave: Take Jade to the beach.
“Thank you, sir!” Jade answers him back with a small giggle. She locks the door behind her, and exits out of her apartment building towards his car.
Once he's opened the door for her and let her get in he goes around to the driver's side and puts it in drive; he'd left it on, since he knew he'd be right back. He buckles in, turns the radio on to a common channel, and starts driving.
"You're welcome to change the station if you want."
Dave: Take Jade to the beach.
Jade smiles at him again before quickly turning, grabbing her bag, and throwing it over her shoulder. “All right!” she said, slipping her feet into a pair of flip-flops. “Let’s go!”
He holds out an arm for her to go ahead of him.
"After you m'lady."
Dave: Take Jade to the beach.
Jade hadn’t been to the beach in a very, very long time. In fact, she couldn’t even remember the last time. She wasn’t quite sure what she needed to bring. She had a large bag, and packed a towel, some sunscreen, a bit of food just in case, and a change of clothes. Oh, and her binoculars, which she tended to carry with her whenever she could.
She was wearing a solid black bikini with lime green stitching, and over it, a cover-up—a thin, green dress that barely made it a quarter of the ways down her thighs. She double checks to see if she’s got everything she needs when she hears a knock on the door.
She rushes over to answer it, and smiles up at Dave. “Hey, there!” she says cheerfully. “Let me just grab my stuff and I’ll be ready to go!”
Whoa.
He can't help eyeing her over, and for the upteenth time in his life he's thankful for his sunglasses. With a smile he nods.
"Sure chickadee, take your time."
Dave: Take Jade to the beach.
It was the perfect temperature today; not too hot, not too cold. Plus there was a pretty girl accompanying him today, and that was a huge plus. To be honest he wasn't sure why he'd invited her; they hadn't talked for very long. But she'd said yes and that was enough for him.
Once he puts his board in the back of his truck he makes the drive over, parking out front and moving up to the door in order to knock.
