Hard night

Tonight's been hard. Like, really hard. I'm watching House of Cards, I don't know the episode number. Its the one where Claire's mom dies. She's laying in bed. In so much pain, and Claire gives her morphine. The morphine relaxes her her body and allows her to pass away peacefully.

And all I can think about is how that is mom's only ending at this point.

Helpless

Its been hard. Mom is so sick on this medicine. I just watched her throw up and I couldn't do anything. People get upset with Robin foe being so optimistic ... For pushing mom to talk to the doctors about antinausea medicine and taking forms of alternative medicine.... But I get it sis. Its the only way you feel that you are in control of anything, the only way you feel you can help. I gave that up a long time ago - rolling with the punches is my new M.O. I literally can't do anything about the cancer part. So I visit. Talk to her all the time. Help where I can. And cry in private so she doesn't see how hooeless and devastated I actually feel.

Time to go- its my turn to make lunch. ❤
