The Snatchers are mercenaries who work for the Ministry. Their costumes needed to be consistent without being overly official. “I gave them a red, dirty scarf around their arms,” says Jany Tremime. “The Snatchers come from all walks of life. Some are more urban. We also have the ones hiding in the forest, who look wilder, like they’ve been living in the trees.” Scabior was a Snatcher whom Tremime found difficult to pinpoint. “He’s a bad wizard, but he’s also a sexy boy. So we had to find something that could accommodate the two sides of his character-a dirty but handsome look.” Tremime observed how actor Nick Moran took her initial outfit and used it in his interpretation of the character. “Little by little, I could see that he was slowly building up the character and arrived at something that was really wonderful.”
