[Continued from here] @slips-treamâ It had been a terrible accent but this could be a perfect opportunity to put his currently knowledge of Australia slang to use. Either way, he needed the practice and what was Slipstream to do? Shoot him for faking his origin? Clearly that minor aspect did not play a larger role in everything or she would have focused more on that. The more concerning thing in that moment was how they stopped suddenly still in the air. Surely she did not expect him to work way up in the air like this and not become suspect that the end result was somehow not going to lead to her throwing him off the aircraft to a frightening free fall with an abrupt stop at the end. A suspect hum caught in his throat as he heard the buckle give and his captor new business associate was moving out of the cockpit in his direction. Still sitting upright as she passed, Doc quickly weighed his options only to decide there was nothing much he could do in that moment. Going for the cockpit and trying to take control was dumb unless he could knock her out. Sure they were associates now but at some point before completion he needed to have some kind of escape plan should the payment merely be a fake motivator the other planned to take back at the end of things. There was also the glaring problem that Doc did not know how to pilot such a craft. âThank you,â he replied on reflex to being handed something. ââŚTa.â That was what he had meant to say. Still, he took the notebook and flipped the cover back to read the list.Â
This was a fairly hefty list of supplies if he were to be honest. The notepad being moved slowly closer and closer to his nose as he got to the more âjuicyâ listings. Things that if combined together would react in not the biggest explosion but for sure a painful and messy one. His grin returning as his peg began to bob eagerly. âOh this is good. Do you have a pen- Oh. Scratch that.â He corrected as he pulled the item from the notebook spiral and did another run through on what was there, thumb clicking the pen rapidly as he thought of what else was needed. âHmmâŚâ He flipped the page up to write on the second. His own list compiling up with a few questionable requests though he did seem confident in what he jotted down in neat cursive. Another run down before he closed the pad back up and held it out with a toothy grin. âI took the liberty of a few extra items. I wonât be entirely certain of how well they might mesh until I see them in person but I think that should do it.â The pen still in his hand however and clicking several times to let him fidget. ââŚ.There will be an area for me to work in that is on the ground, yes?â
The Talon pilots arms crossed, regarding the âjunkerâ with interest as he took the pad, nodding at his thanks. Definitely far from what reports had said. Was he some kind of much cleaner twin with the same explosive interests? Lena propped herself against the wall as she waited, going through her own options.
She had no need to double cross this man. Unlike some of her... colleagues, she liked to keep decent cooperation with those she worked with. Of course, she wasnât naive, but she knew just as she was keeping her guard up, so was her new âfriend,â and she couldnât be sure he wouldnât do something stupid.
Lena quirked a brow, small smirk pulling at her lips. Hook, line, and sinker, sheâd definitely caught his interest now. Sheâd been putting these supplies together for a long time. It had been hell to stay out of the hackers radar to get it all, but sheâd managed. If only just. She wasnât much bothered by the clicking, otherwise she may have taken the pen back.
Smirk growing, she took the notepad back, flipping it open to look over the added items. Only one would take some extra doing, but she had some acquaintances. ââCourse. Rather not blow up my only good ship, and Iâm sure youâd work better not under stress.â The brunette mused lightly before stowing away the notepad.
âOh.â She paused as she turned toward the cockpit, glancing over her shoulder. âSince weâre workin together, would you prefer âJamisonâ or âJunkrat?â Figured I canât call you âhey you.â Those and âJamieâ were the aliases she had on him, so may as well call him something.
