What's this all about anyway?

Between now and June, I plan to post info specifically related to port produced in the San Luis Obispo area. I am part Portuguese and since becoming of age (a few years ago), I have enjoyed port as a great after-dinner drink. Being from California, I have had the opportunity to taste great wines from all around the state. However, I've always felt there is a lack of knowledge and support for our domestic ports. I hope to change that.
