If youâre anything like me, you go to the library with the best intentions then inevitably get distracted and wind up finishing none of the tasks you set out to do. Hereâs a handy guide to how to get more done when you go to the library!
Planning your study session
Know what youâre doing ahead of time. Not only does this mean you can plan out your time to keep you on task, but you can also pare down which books and notes you need to bring.
Try and choose subjects that you need to be in the library for. For instance, if you need books to write an essay, read them in the library so you donât have to drag them home. Itâs better for your back, and more motivating when your time is limited!
Make a plan! Whether itâs just a to-do list or chunking your work into ten minute blocks, have goals to accomplish and keep yourself on task.
Donât expect to be fully focused the whole time youâre there. No one can concentrate for 4 hours straight, so work some breaks into your plan and cut yourself some slack.
What to bring
A water bottle. Youâre better off staying hydrated with water than sugary drinks from the vending machine, and bringing your own bottle is the best way to do that because you can keep it right at your desk.
Your chargers! Nothing cuts a study session short like your computer dying, so be prepared and make sure youâve got your laptop/phone/tablet charger on hand.
A jacket. At least at my university, the library is almost always freezing. Even if yours isnât, bring a jacket to keep you warm because sitting still for ages is a surefire way to cool you down!
Healthy snacks. Bringing your own food means you wonât be spending money, and you have a reason to stay at your desk and away from the vending machine. It also means no noisy crisp packets! Hereâs a guide to library-friendly quiet snacks.
Headphones. Sometimes, even the library can be a bit noisy. Whether youâd prefer silence or some light music, having headphones can help you out.
Study essentials. Donât depend on the library having copies of your required textbook, so bring your own from home, alongside essentials like pens & paper!
Making the most of the library
Donât sit on the ground floor. Itâs the loudest and busiest, and the place where youâre most likely to run into friends or get distracted, so avoid it off the bat. Similarly, stay away from high traffic areas like the loos, printers, and cafe.
Use the resources available! The library offers so much more than books: research databases, primary sources, librarians, and even audio resources if youâre a languages student like me. Make the most of all thatâs on offer!
Get there early. Especially in exam season, the library fills up pretty fast and that can prevent you from sitting where you would usually. If you want a prime spot, your best bet is to get there when the library opens.
Try booking a study room. They can be great for working on group projects or if you want to snag a one person room and work with even fewer distractions.
Remember that the library doesnât guarantee productivity. You still need to be prepared and focused, regardless of the location! Try and ditch the rest of the dayâs worries at the door and just concentrate on work.

kpop journal ideas
ive seen that recently many of my mutuals started making bullet journals and recently i made a kpop one so i wanted to share some ideas so you can all use them!!
my kpop journal
1. birthday pages
- if your bias or just a member you like has his/her birthday dedicate the page to them! write down wishes or reasons why theyre great
2. produce 101Â
- if you watched it you can make a list of your favorite contestants and some details you remember about the show
3. episode counterÂ
- korean drama fan? you can write down which ones youâre watching and mark which episodes you already watched
4. korean showsÂ
- itâs the same thing with drama, keep count on your episodes
5. playlistsÂ
- weekly or even daily playlists of some of your current favorite songs are a nice wait to keep track of how your tastes changeÂ
6. listsÂ
- it can be anything, list of your favorite groups or vocals or even performances
7. koreanÂ
- i know many of you try to learn korean so why dont you dedicate some pages to useful language or some vocabularyÂ
8. concerts/eventsÂ
- if you went to any concert or an event with kpop idols then write your thoights down, how was the experience? thoughts on their outfits? and stuff like thatÂ
9. new groupsÂ
- if you want to get to know some group then make their profile! use pictures to remember their faceta and write down their position or some faceta about each memberÂ
10. imaginary groupÂ
- this is a really creative one, think of a new group, think of their debiut date, entertainment, concept or even music videosÂ
feel free to add some more ideas!!

Tips for doing well on your exams.
Heyy, so since I recently finished with my exams I thought it would be great to share with you guys some advices and things that I learned during this period of time to make your exams week(s) less exhausting.
⢠Make a study-plan: Okay so because during my exams I had a week when I was giving another subject everyday making a study plan helped me so much. Organize your time so you can be able to study more than one lesson per day and finish everything on time.
⢠Sleep: Oh god, I can not stress this enough guys, you have to sleep 7 hours every day at least. During my exams from all the stress and the anxiety that I was having to finish everything on time and read everything over and over again so Iâm 100% prepared I was sleeping for about 3-4 hours, something I donât recommend doing. I was writing good but I was feeling so tired all day and needed 2 cups of coffee to get me going and when we finally finished I needed two weeks to recover from this unhealthy schedule and I was sleeping all day. So in order to avoid that study the things you have to study but get to bed early and wake up early the next day to do your revision.
⢠Get a tutor: I did it and many other children are doing it too, just because you need help with a subject youâre not good at doesnât make you stupid or anything you are just asking for a helping hand from a person that knows.
⢠Eat good: Eat good and full meals, you will need all the energy you can get. All the studying and memorizing and learning require food, stop your diet or whatever for two or three weeks and eat whatever you want and think that will make you feel more energetic and strong.
⢠Always paraphrase: So in middle high school I wasnât a really big fan of this method, but during the exams on my first year of high school I understood that thereâs no way to memorize the entire book as it is so what I did is that I read the entire thing to the point that I may didnât know every single word but if you would ask me something I would remember it because I actually learned and understood it.
