something something Rolan Deep and needing to get out of this town before it killed him. something about how it DID kill Rolan, and how ultimately Rolan Deep is the parasite that walks around in the dead kids skin. The monster that haunts him, the thing he tried to escape. Something about the irony of his parents only request being them to stay thier Rolan, even though he hasn't been in a very long time. Something about how he remains their Rolan despite it all, maybe even more authentically himself with the experience motivating him to leave. Something about an ugly hometown, birth and death, essential and inextricable. does anyone Get It.
