Well deserved nomination, Ms. Gomez. Now I’d like to stop looking over my shoulder all the time.

I framed up my autographs and photos of me with Doctors. My collection/shrine looks all sorts of sexy now.

People who BETTER FREAKING BE IN NEXT WEEK’S EPISODE:
Romana
Susan
Susan was left on earth. Thus could not be on Gallifrey. But President Romana could definitely show up. Lalla Ward (as Romana) did recently did some things at the Experience.
Last week I went to a taping of the Graham Norton show, and was on the red chair. Afterwards, Peter was kind enough to ask me to meet him backstage.
Peter Capaldi will be on the Graham Norton Show this Friday, November 20th! Catch the episode at 22:40 on BBC One
I just watched the episode, and it seems that I didn't make the cut. Oh well, time to get psyched for Face the Raven!

Roundup of my recent 8 day UK trip. Among other things I went to 3 different fan events, and was able to meet 4 Doctors. I also went to a taping of the Graham Norton Show and met Peter backstage. Very successful trip!
Oh my, my UK trip is going to be full of Doctor Appointments
So, I decided send a bit more money, and will be meeting a total of 4 Doctors during my UK trip starting next week! I'll keep the secret of which ones. *mwahahahahahaha*
I just did something unwise.
I have been feeling quite depressed for the last few weeks. Job search is going poorly, and was dreading the next few months. So I decided to my potential trip to the UK for the Doctor Who Festival (plus another con) into a reality, by charging the air an hostel parts. I did this despite the fact that I don’t have the money to pay it off. But I feel a lot better now as I have something to look forward to. :) Peter Capaldi (and Tom Baker), here I come.
How I found The Doctor
Blink was the episode that got a lot of new Whovians into Doctor Who! With its airing in the Doctor’s Finest on Saturday, let’s talk about what got everyone into the show. When were you #NewToWho and why did you start watching? Have you ever introduced it to a friend?
For a few years I was obsessed with the works of Douglas Adams. Because of the obsessive I am, I had to research everything about this genius. One day I was reading an Adams biography, and it mentioned that he once wrote for a long-running British science fiction television show called Doctor Who. So, being the person I am set out to track some of the episodes that he contributed to, which at the time (early 2000s in America) was not the easiest thing to do. But I eventually found the stories The Pirate Planet and City of Death.
While I was not much impressed by The Pirate Planet, I was blown away by City of Death. But I figured out that there wasn’t much more written by Adams, I didn’t have much desire to seek everything else out. Although, the one thing that I did love about the show was that it had a history. Better yet it knew how to play Darwin’s game by continually evolving.
Over the next few years, I did find a few more stories to watch: the first few stories from the local library, The Mind Robber because of it was one of the few things of interest that was streaming on Netflix when it started, and Earthshock at my college library.
During this time I did read that the show was being brought back, and put that at the back of my mind while I waited...and waited...and waited. It took close to a year for the first series of revived Who to make it to America. Once again, I wasn’t totally in love with it, but it still intrigued me.
What made me fall in love with the show was when I decided to dive in head first, and watch as much as I could get my hands on. The first time I really started to enjoy it was watching City of Death, The Time Warrior, and The War Games all within a month of each other. That is when I truly became a fan.

Hey kids, guess what's happening in November?
I'm going back to London, and going to meet Peter Capaldi AND Michelle Gomez at the Doctor Who Festival!!!! Permission to squee?
What's that I see there? MORE ROUNDELS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The one way I will commemorate this random day in Doctor Who’s history. The only trailer that explains what the show is, without making things too complicated.
Haley Atwell is going to be at C2E2? I may need to rethink about not attending...
