1. Auditioning. If you'd like to join us, submit which available character you'd like to RP with your main Tumblr first. If we give you approval, you may make an ask blog for whichever character you want. You'll be given one week to prove you can truly portray your character. A small group of us will deliberate and one representative will let you know through the main / directory blog if you're part of our group. However, if after a week all of us agree that you've not stayed true to the character, we will have to ask you to leave our group. We can't force you to delete the blog, but you won't be associated with us.
2. No duplicates. Please register with askgameofthrones so we're aware of everyone who's already here. (For our existing duplicates, we will decide who stays.)
3. No godmodding. Do not try to control aspects of the RP situation you normally can't. Don't control other people's characters. Basically: don't play god. If you're not sure about something, please consult one of your small council members.
4. Ask limits. Please do not keep answering asks one after the other when you can just take a screencap of your ask box and answer them in ONE post. Please don't answer repetitive asks / questions you've already answered before.
5. Stay in character. We understand that we do have to cross certain lines to allow interactions between various characters, but try to stay true to your character. Our timelines are also messy on AIM, we know. (Nonexistent, really.) We are just here to RP so just get involved.
6. AIM. You need to make the effort to talk to us. If you start talking to us, then yes we will pull you into chat rooms. You cannot complain about AIM when you're not making the effort to RP with us. Also, we prefer to use AIM so we have an accessible log of what happens and also, with a customizable font, it's easier to distinguish who's talking.
7. Disappearances / absences. Please let us know if you're taking a break. If you're gone for two weeks, we will replace you. If you return and have a good excuse, the best we can do is offer you a new character without having to audition.
8. Character's knowledge. What you know isn't exactly what your character knows. So please don't claim to know everything when your character has no way of attaining that knowledge. It's ruining the fun for everyone if everyone just knows everything. Petyr Baelish and Varys are exceptions to this because their characters would know at least almost everything.
