There's a nice, traditional, and overly apologetic gentleman that is in my social dancing crowd. I'm one of the friendly follows that some new folks find it easy to relax with, and I love that. However, I don't like being hit on; I'm a slow burn girl and this hobby is a major passion of mine. I could sense he started testing the waters by asking personal questions, and eventually, he asked about my faith. I started feeling a bit anxious because I don't want to be put in a position to deal with the flirting stuff again... And I didn't see him for about two weeks. All I did was share my faith and that it was kind of him to ask and got back to business. Last night, I saw him and he was very apologetic and I said I appreciate the invite to his church but I'm good. Nice pleasant exchange and no messiness. I've also been leaning away from the dudes who just hone in on me to flirt and buzz to the next girl who looks like she's standing on her own. No thanks, haha. But thought transmission!
