How to be a studyblr
1. Say you are a studyblr
2. Thatās all
ya know what I want to see more of in the study/bujo community
I want to see more dark photos.
I want to see more photos with diverse, colourful, and interesting backgrounds.
I want to see more notes written in ballpoint
I want to see more of the rushed bujo pages made because you didnāt have time to do it but didnāt want to have that week missing from your journal
I want to see more in-class notes, the notes you took before you re-wrote them to make themĀ āpost worthyā
I want to see more messy desks. The aftermatch of journaling and studying
I want to see more wooden desks, more desks that arenāt white, more desks covered in coffee rings and paint splats
I want to see more on the fly photos
And Iām not writing this because I want to supportĀ āsmall accountsā orĀ āpoor study accountsā I want to see it because Iām sick of every single post looking the same as the one I saw last. Iām tired of accounts with amazing content not getting the growth they deserve because their photos arenāt overexposed on white desks. I want to see it because it stands out, itās different, and I like it.
So many accounts quit before they even get started because of the precedent that you have to have expensive stationery and stark white photos to grow and make an impact. Because they donāt feel they can live up to the expectations of the community. And that makes me really sad.

This is some Skynet level manipulation.
Everyone, turn this awful thing off. And tell @staff how awful it is.
Literally no one asked for this.
Reblog this, people. It will make small studyblrs disappear!
could you blograte yfstudies maybe?
Hi, sadly, we are not currently doing blogrates. Sorry!
hey, i want to start a studyblr but i donāt know where to start, what kind of post should i make and if the fact that the educational system in my country is different from US and others really matters here. can give me some tips and advice, please? <3
Hi there, anon!
You might want to start by reblogging posts from other studyblrs. When youāre comfortable and want to post original content, you could make an intro post so other people in the community can get to know you better.
Most studyblrsĀ usually have a tag they track ( you can find a list here by @getshitdonetbh ) and you can tag your favourite studyblrsĀ for a chance to get your post reblogged by them! Joining networks can also help boost your popularity and make friends in the community. Donāt be afraid to reach out and talk to people too! Most of us here are friendly and would love to make friends :)
Itās completely fine if the educational system in your country is different, since there are studyblrsĀ from all around the world! In fact, you might even find people with the same educational system as yours.

hey i recently got a tombow brush pen and is there any tips on starting out on the brush pen life? I have the tombow fudenosuke brush pens, I am not sure how i am supposed to practice etc. Any advice would help!! thanks!!
Hi darling!
Congrats on wanting to sget started on brush pen lettering: itās really pretty and doesnāt really take much work! Itās just practise!
Also: for the practise, I used cheaper pens instaed of just jumping heads first into the tombows. I used some from IKEA (3ā¬) but that was long ago, so I am not sure they will still sell them. The idea is that you will need to practise.
For the practise itself, Iāll direct you to some videos, because it will be more explicative than me trying to write how you are supposed to use them: if you want a fast check,Ā this one is pretty basic, and this one is a bit more specific and long-ish. Then you have the girl who made the first videoās blog, and a series of videos she made on hand lettering: great explanations, short videos and really good results. You can also access them from her blog.
Hope I helped! Have fun learning!!
Hi! Is everything ok? you haven't posted in a while and I wanted to make sure nothing bad happened. Have a nice day!
Hi! Yeah, everything OK! Itās just been a bit of a havoc with starting uni and everything. But thanks for asking! We will probably be back to normal in like a week or something, once everything is settled and ready to go!!

Iām really excited about this new year? Like, i amb super re-charged after this summer and ready to do classes that I love! I think that last year I ended valuing a lot the hard work I did, because it reflected on my grades!
Another delicious submission for the September study challenge you can join here
02/09/17
(Small galaxy i did in july in a frame decorated and painted by myself) This year iāll be starting bachillerato (I think for most people thatās the equivalent to college) and for the first time ever iām gonna choose what classes I take (Other than choosing my fourth language four years ago, but weāll ignore that) and Iām really excited as iāll have two classes focused on oral and writing expression (Two things which i love), even more english and recent history! Iām really looking forward to next year!
I love the drawing! Itās so cute! And being able to choose your classes is a huge step, enjoy it!
If you want to take part in the challenge and have a chance to have your posts reblogged, check this post!
Hey! I'm a new studyblr and I was wondering if you have any tips on building confidence with studyblr? Plus can I ask what you think of my blog please?
Hi! First thing first, I think you are doing a great job with your studyblr, it looks awesome!
Then: there many different types of confidence, but they all have in common that they are easier to achieve if you are happy. So some tips:
Use your studyblr as a means of motivationg yourself to become a better, more confident person. You can use your studyblr however you want to, and you can force yourself to post something every day (like the 100 days of productivity challenge, or even better, our September back to school challengeĀ ;), which is a bit more interactive). Those posts will help you:
By posting something everyday, you can see your work evolve, which will make you feel better, more productive and more confident in you reaching your goals.
People interact with you via those posts. Their likes, reblogs and comments (hey, I know itās not all about them) will make you feel better, as superficial as it sounds. More confident. Itās not about thinkingĀ āhey, I didnāt get as many likes in this post as in this other oneā, but about goingĀ āHey, this kind human being liked my biology notes. Thatās awesome!ā See? Spread kindness.
You will be able to see the evolution of your work, of your photography skills, of your motivation, of everything! in those posts. In a month or so, look back at them, and be surprised! It may seem stupid, but my studyblr helped me a lot to sit down every day and work for the last three months of school. I was way more confident in my work because I knew I had been working hard.
I know you are probably talking about feeling more confident in yourself as a human, so here goes some advice on that:
Talk to studyblrs. We are friendly people. So if you want to feel brave and talk to someone new, drop someone a line. Asking about pictures, notes, what they are studying or their Hogwarts house is a good ice-breaker. And if you think you have screwed up or you have nothing else to say to that person and itās getting awkward, donāt worry! There are thousands of us here in Tumblr, so just DM someone else! It will help you take the initiative to start a conversation, and you can always learn new things from new people.
Donāt let yourself be brought down by all those stupidly aesthetic posts if yours donāt look that way. As I already said, pay more attention to the evolution of your very own aesthetic posts! Youāll see them getting better and better and that will also increase your confidence in yourself.
Use one of studyblrsā favourite things ever: MASTERPOSTS! to check tips on becoming more confident. Maybe make one yourself with the tips you want to use, it sounds stupid to give advice to people on something you havenāt mastered yet, but hey, itās what helps me the most: take your favourite tips from other people, the ones you think are most likely to work, and the ones you are going to try, and make a masterpost on them. DONāT FORGET GIVING CREDIT! This will help you organise your ideas and interiorise the tips better. Really. Do it.
Yeah, this is basically it. If any of you have any extra advice, please say it! Best of luck darling!!!

I just made my studyblr and I was wondering if you had any tips for having/taking photos that look nice and clean, or recommended editing software to make the colors easier on the eyes?
Welcome to the studyblr community!
The key to clear pictures is definitely good lighting. It would also be nice to have a clear background and try to avoid a lot of clutter.
Some photo editing apps that most people include (but are not limited to):
VSCO [ iOS || Android ]
Snapseed [ iOS || Android ]
Polar [ iOS || Android ]
PhotoshopĀ [ iOS || Android ]
Pics Art [ iOS || Android ]
Jasmine from @studyquillā also has a really helpful video on how she takes her pictures here. She also has another video on how she edits them here :)
Hope this helped!
