These was shared on thread by one of the loons and I genuinely think need to be shared to everywhere.

It was dark. There was no mirror and how come you would know what was written on your face? If you said you can take a guess from others, wrong! It was not like the same person went around drawing the same thing on everyone’s faces.

Taking a break from this fandom has honestly been healing, because when I saw this, I didn’t even react. I expected it.

I was going to write a lengthy paragraph, but I don’t have it in me anymore. And I’m not going to give attention to people who spend every day on Twitter and here telling him to khs, using slurs, spreading hate, and making fandom spaces miserable for everyone else.

I’m sorry for the people who are genuinely hurt by this. I’m sorry that something that was supposed to be fun is no longer fun because of the constant harassment, hostility, and cruelty online. I’m sorry that such a beautiful show has brought so much hate out of people.

What I will say is this: racism is never okay. Slurs are never okay. Harassment is never okay. Telling someone to harm themselves is never okay. None of it is criticism, and none of it should be normalized.

I don’t blame people for leaving. I don’t blame people for ignoring it. It’s exhausting to constantly fight online, defend people from hate, and watch the same behavior happen over and over again.

Be kind. Be compassionate. Take breaks when you need them. Protect your peace. Everything will be okay.

Common in politics too. My friend S was the chief of staff to a closeted politician. He had a “gf” for a bit, and they eventually settled on him taking his Mom or a young, widowed female friend as a +1 to things.
