What is Mr. Boss’s role in the Superhero AU?

He alerts the group when they have a call or there's an emergency in the town! I haven't fully fleshed out the 'lore' of the AU so I haven't talked in depth about this anywhere, but Critters are the only ones who usually can inherit superpowers or have them activated in some way; Mr. Boss was the first human 'superhero', and retired to found the Smiling Friends :-)
