Do a workplace photo.

Share a community event. Ask your followers to share any events that they have been too or are going to.

A great way to get some engagement is to ask questions to your followers. You could ask a multiple choice question.

Give a shout out to one of your favorite places, or tag one of your favorite profiles on Instagram and ask her followers to do the same.

One of my favorites are motivational quotes. You can share your favorite and ask her followers what their favorite is or maybe where they get their quotes from.

Share a helpful tip, and last but definitely not least is thank your customers and followers. After all you can do it without them.

Amber Alert

So there was an amber alert late last night and I woke up this morning to find out the girl was found dead in her father's house. What I cannot believe is the nerve of some people, calling 911 and wasting operators time just to complain about an amber alert going off that late. If it wasn't for the Amber Alert they might have never found the suspect and his car.

An 11 year old girl is dead and all people can think about is complaining that they got woken up. Get some f****** ear plugs shut your mouth..

This just absolutely infuriates me. And these people that are sitting around complaining about it, if it was their child or a family member missing they would be singing a whole different tune.

It may be loud, and it may be a little bit annoying, but it means there's a missing child out there. Have some sympathy people.

Thyroid

Good morning. More of a personal post today. The doctor found a lump on my thyroid, then sent me for an ultrasound. Apparently I have 4 nodules. Three of them are fairly small but, the one on the right is big enough that I need to go and have a biopsy done. Even though there is a large percentage of thyroid lumps that end up being benign, I'm still a little bit nervous. Cancer does run in my family. I will be going February 20th to Credit Valley Hospital. Fingers crossed and I will update you when I'm done.

Instagram live

Benefits for using Instagram live.

Visibility. Just like with Instagram stories they go on the top of your followers feed, but even better, live streams are placed at the front of the storyline, and are also highlighted.

Instagram live is push notification enabled. That way any of your followers that has this feature enabled will get a notification as soon as you start streaming your live video.

Live content creates a sense of urgency. People are drawn to it because they feel like they might miss out on something.

It also creates an authentic face-to-face conversation.

And last but not least Instagram stories tend to have more engagement, and with live you can ask your viewers questions in real time.

Here are some tips to help your cat and dog get along.

Give a cat its own territory before meeting a dog. Cats need a protected space, to feel comfortable.

Take personality- not breed- into account. If a dog is aggressive and territorial, it won't be a good fit with a skittish cat.

Let them sniff each other's a bedding and toys before a face-to-face, this way they can satisfy their curiosity and avoid turf battles.

Keep food separate. Easiest way to do this is to schedule meal times and place the bowls in separate areas of the house. You can also put the cat dish in a higher spot.

If you are able to raise them together, it would be easier from a young age then to introduce them later.
