smol4blueengine is a blog for those who are having a hard day and just need something to smile at (or laugh at if they don't like the concept of Gordon the big blue engine as a baby). It's supposed to be a place where users can forget their troubles for a bit and interact and play with Baby Gordon.

This is an SFW Age space.

For Mun it's a blog where I can relax and draw adorable stuff when I'm having a dry spell for my other projects. Plus, I get to interact with all of you and I can't state this enough about how grateful I am for all of you who follow and support Baby Gordon and me.

I grew up with the big blue engine and even though Thomas was the main character, Gordon always caught my then 4-year-old brain's attention and now years later the big engine even holds an even bigger grip on my childhood as he is one of the last characters I remember loving as a child before my mom passed. In a way this blog is a way for me to keep a fond memory and give my favorite engine all the love and recognition I was unable to as a child because little me couldn't remember his name and mislabeled Gordon as Thomas.

At the end of the day though, this blog is and always will be a space for all of us to get together and relax.

Newest "baby" (kind of sort of yeah) around the block.

This is Goodwin. He is a little toy replica engine created for a pop-up event on Sodor in celebration of both Gordon's build date and the "Era of Steam" in general. His entire purpose was to teach children about steam power generation on a simplified smaller scale (being essentially an engine shaped antique coal iron that uses actual water). Despite not having much purpose beyond being a show trinket, he somehow came to life and is now the responsibility of the Hatt family.

STH's grandchildren are very fond of him and tend to take him on little adventures so he can learn more about the world around him.

I lost my baby today. Star, had her for 16 years extraordinary years. Through sickness, depression, anxiety, milestones and a lot of moving, she was always there. The silence is the worst part, I can fool myself into thinking Star is sleeping under my bed, in the closet, or on my relatives lap, but the silence wakes me up to the reality. No meowing at me demanding to be fed, get water, or have her litterbox cleaned, no sound of her little paws as she climbs up and down from her cat tree or climbing onto my bed, no looking over to said bed to see her glaring at me for taking the blanket. Its just unreal. I need to be grateful that I had all these years with her and that she is no longer in pain, but the silence, the absence is just so F###ing painful right now.

The Baby Engines are back!

These are their new designs I made several improvements to the babies and I'm proud of that!🚂🍼

1 Baby Thomas🫐

🩵He's the happiest of the group; he laughs at absolutely EVERYTHING.

🩵He always crawls faster than the others, so he's the one who runs away when they're not looking 😂.

🩵He loves cuddling stuffed animals and dragging his favorite blanket around the nursery.

🩵If someone cries, he gives them his pacifier to comfort them (although he later regrets it because he loves it too).

🩵Thomas cries when you don't understand what he says and when you don't listen to him.

2 Baby Edward🌧️

🩵The quietest and most polite of the group. He always shares his toys (although sometimes Thomas drools on them).

🩵He loves listening to soft music or having stories read to him before bed.

🩵If someone cries, he crawls slowly but surely to pat them gently on the back.

🩵Sometimes he falls asleep cuddling his storybook.

🩵Edward cries when he is not allowed to sleep or is woken up from his nap.

3 Baby Henry🍏

💚He's a sensitive and affectionate baby who loves to smell the flowers in the garden. 🌼

💚He's allergic to some things, so he always wears his favorite blue rag.

💚He laughs when Thomas or Percy make strange noises.

💚He likes to sleep cuddled up with Edward (but even more so with Gordon).

💚If he sees someone crying, he tries to give them their favorite toy, even if it's hard for him to let go.

💚Henry cries when he's going to be bathed. He even runs around the place and hides so he doesn't get bathed.

4 Baby Gordon🧊

🩵He's the biggest and most serious baby of them all.

🩵He always wants to show that he can crawl faster or lift more blocks than the others.

🩵When he gets angry, he puffs out his cheeks and crosses his arms, pouting.

🩵Although he won't admit it, if Thomas hugs him, he calms down in seconds.

🩵Gordon cries when he is angry or loses his patience.

5 Baby James🍓

❤️He's the most boastful of all. He always wants the prettiest, cleanest bib.

❤️He loves to see himself in any surface that reflects his face (even a spoon).

❤️He is obsessed with the color red, if he sees something red (rattle, toys or bibs) he wants it. If another baby grabs it before him, he pouts and lets out a cry of complaint.

❤️When they take his picture from his crib, he stays very still and smiles. He even tilts his head to make himself look cute.

❤️James cries if he gets dirty or if his shiny rattle is taken away.

6 Baby Percy🥝

💚He's the youngest and the most attached to Thomas; he follows him everywhere.

💚He loves toys that make noise or lights, but then gets scared and runs to hide in Thomas's lap.

💚He's scared when the lights go out, so he sleeps with a star-shaped nightlight.

💚He babbles a lot, even though no one understands what he's saying.

💚Percy cries when he is left alone or when you don't hold him in your arms.
