Killian skipped through the grassy meadow, placidly collecting flowers for a bouquet. He felt safe here. The breeze blew through his hair and the sun shone on his skin and he felt secure. Past the hill where his cottage stood, he caught glimpses of the sparkling, sapphire waters. For some indescribable reason, he always felt a certain bond with the ocean that filled him with mirth and joy.
His father sometimes spoke of adventures that may await upon the sea, and nothing made Killian happier than to daydream about such journeys. He could just imagine it. His parents, Liam, and himself, sailing away to discover the secrets the ocean held.
As he pondered the specifics of such an adventure, he continued gathering. His hands spilled with sunny daisies, tulips, and of course forget-me-nots. His mother had often told him how they were her favorite as they held the azure pigmentation of her Killian’s eyes. Killian loved his mother more than anyone in the entire world, and was always eager to put a smile on her face.
When he was sated with his arrangement, he skipped back towards his home. Killian stealthily opened the door and snuck inside where his mother lay in bed. She had recently fallen victim to illness, and had been prescribed bedrest by the village apothecary. When she saw her son however, any trace of the sickly paleness that tormented her face, seemed to melt away. What replaced it, was the most magical smile in all the realms. It brought a slight crimson color to her cheeks and put the light back into her cerulean eyes.
After careful consideration, Cassie and I are excited to announce the new members of our network.

One of the most important aspects of this network is to help people feel more comfortable conversing with others in the fandom, by connecting them with people closer to their age. To do this we will be creating a group message. However since some people may not want to give out their phone number, we will be using GroupMe (basically a less sketchy kik) with all of the network members. To join it, you will have to download the GroupMe app and create an account. After, please send a private message to Cassie ( @swansdashingrapscallian )with the email you signed up with, and she will add you to the group message as soon as possible.
To everyone listed above, please read, and obey all of the following guidelines carefully.
Each of you is asked to please submit a short, one to three sentence biography of yourselves for the members page. This can be done via private message or inboxed to the network page. Please do this as soon as possible.
Along with this, send us the e-mail that you used to create your main Tumblr account so we can add you to the network.

Great initiative congrats!! I must confess though, when i first read your post i chuckled a bit thinking of what antis say abt how CS fans are all teens who don't know much. Since a. Apparently we aren't all teens. our youngsters inside the fandom just created this subgroup and B. Our youngsters are actually very smart and know what they are doing, as it shows just by looking at this attempt to try and bring young ppl together and offer support and friendship amongst ppl with similar experiences

On behalf of Shea and myself, we’d just like to thank you all for a great first day. The number of applications we received exceeded our expectations. So much so that we are considering accepting more than 4 members because we want so many of you and its very difficult to chose.
Also thank you to everyone who signal boosted us. Especially those who were to old to qualify themselves. Shea and I were honestly so starstruck when some people reblogged it. Getting this much support has been very exciting and frankly unforeseen.

Omg I hope Cassie is ok. Like she isn't hurt is she? I feel really weird asking my question now, but I was just wonder, in case I decide to apply, how long you want the answers to be. Probably a stupid question. Again I hope she's well. I remember my first (and only accident) and i'm still a little scared when i drive.

jkjk obviously. Right now we are planning that their position will be passed on to a younger person to keep the network running as long as possible. But maybe we’ll find a way to keep them included. This will all be discussed in more detail after members have been chosen.

Oh my gosh please don’t feel like that! Honestly we aren’t that popular but thanks for the flattery! The whole point of this network is to create a safe space where people feel unintimidated. We would love your application no matter how many followers you have!
Only a couple hours in and Shea and I have already realized we messed something up. Well I messed something up. I forgot to put two rules on the callout post and its that you need to be following both of us and you have to reblog the call out post. We double checked, and those of you who have applied already are good and don’t have to worry about it. We just don’t want it to look like we were being shifty.
Within the Captain Swan fandom, there is a very diverse age group. While this is wonderful, those on the younger part of the age spectrum have the tendency to feel isolated and left out. Those amazing awe inspiring older bloggers can seem intimidating to those of us who feel like we are not as experienced than them. For this reason, we have decided to start a network that provides a sense of unity, among the younger members of the CS fandom.
The goal of this network is by no means to diminish or discredit the contribution of older bloggers, but to promote the work of those that are younger. It may also serve as a space for us to promote Captain Swan as a healthy relationship to adolescents, young adults, and people who are pretty much adults but don’t want to talk about it.
It will also provide people with the opportunity to make friends they are comfortable with and in which they have similar interests or experiences to within the fandom. It can be difficult to find friends of similar age, especially if you fall into a younger age category. We hope that this network will provide a safe, hate-free environment for youths to express themselves.
Since most members will be attending school, the network will also serve as a support group for those trying to balance school and fandom. Sometimes all you need is for someone to push you to put the laptop away and crack open a textbook, or help you study so you can get half an hour of fic writing in.
Currently, we are looking to accept new members. However there are a few guidelines you must meet in order to apply and be considered for membership.
Rules/Guidelines:
You must be within the age range of 14-22 (this is to ensure that all members are in school)
Must be willing to occasionally or frequently communicate with people with, at most, an 8 year age gap
Be in good standing with the fandom
Be willing to play an active role in the network (meaning don’t just sign up and disappear)
Promise to remain positive and be respectful to other members. Anyone who fails to do so will be asked to leave.
Must be following @generalswan and @swansdashingrapscallian
