Imagine if Wreckers and Spec Ops were drunk and hanging out in one bar and decepticons decided that it's a good idea to ambush them (it's not) All the budget went into Kup, this old man (de)serves Song H0ES DEPRESSED THOT SQUAD
I love it when traumatised characters are hard to love. I love it when it when they're vicious and cruel and unfair to people who care about them. I love it when they respond violently to gentle hands and take their hurt out on others.
and I love it when they are loved and cared for anyways
whar if.. earlty luna 1 days fort max
Another commission done, another stupid dratchcee post. 🎉
I wanted to draw pregnant Ratchet and realized.. that might not work at all. This fat man is the bane of my existence.
Kup wants YOU to join the Wreckers!

"I know i can't catch you, but I can trap you."
tfa shockwave has a nice design and i like it a lot.. im very sad that the "lanky deer man" iteration is only tied to TFA and all of his other versions look very different. I also don't engage in transformers series outside of the very specific evil shockdad au anyways so my opinion might be in the minority lol
Deadceptor Truther, so I think they should hold hands in a non-life threatening scenario and kiss
They have their third (Astrotrain) but I am not drawing all that, maybe in the future though
the second page of the special menu is already here!

AND BRAWNCEPTOR LIVES.
Okay, so while going over MTMTE and stories related to it, one thing that became apperantly clear to me was how not many people knew of the text stories that followed it.
And I don't blame them, because I also didn't know about them, they don't seem to be included in places like RAC (where I assume most go to read the comics). And trying to find these text stories can be a little bit hard for most.
So with the help of my friend @aelyxiae we collected all the pages of the text stories for MTMTE, and have decided to make one post where people can refer back to instead of having to hop around in search of them.
Note: I will be including "Bullets" in here, even though it was part of the Wreckers saga, it has some relevancy to MTMTE in big ways.
Reborn as a Bitlet?
Part 11! Big number!
Part 10
Summary: Your nightmares never make sense yet this one feels almost familiar? That's not quite the right word but it's in the right area. Additionally, the secret of your origins begins to spread as Drift tells someone about your heritage.
Wordcount: 3700
_________________________________________________________
You want to be held.
As you’re kept close to his chassis, Drift silently rocks back and forth while occasionally tapping your shoulders twice. The room is otherwise quiet, except for your hiccups.
___________________________________________________________
It’s dark. You take a step and nearly slip on something that squelches, so you decide to crawl. You’re more accustomed to that now anyways. You distantly hear shuffling, the dragging of something upon the ground, and then a slow defeated thump as whatever was moving stopped.
How familiar. But there’s no scratching or quick panicked movements this time. Has the monster given up?
There’s a feeling deep in your gut that tells you not to follow the strange noises, but another part of you feels oddly compelled to see the creature again. So you crawl forward through the thick rotting smelling substance again and note that it feels as if the composition of said substance has changed. It feels much thicker and almost waxy now.
Not too far in front of you there sounds to be sniffling of some kind. Or is it just smelling? There's an occasional hiccup that deeply unnerves you.
You crawl closer and the man with a taught, skewered face becomes apparent to you again, although he’s laying flat on the ground now. You crawl closer and find it more difficult to do so as the waxy substance grows thicker and thicker. Are they stuck? You look to the ground of the amalgamation and find that it’s sitting. Or, at least it’s sitting the best way it can with a million different limbs. A couple legs stick out from the sides. Some are stuck in the substance.
You crawl closer and the taught man sees you, he raises his arms and you see his chest move that resembles breathing before he opens his mouth and quick, simultaneous yet unharmonised groans and cries emit from the creature all at once. It’s not violent, or even that loud. The noises could be compared to a child that’s choking on its own breath to stop crying. You haven’t moved from your spot. You look down to the man whose skin has morphed to adhere to new features as the bones that stick out of his face and realize you can’t see his eyes. You wonder if he can cry.
Some stupid sense of pity washes over you as you crawl closer. If the creature notices, it makes no movement or acknowledgement in your direction. Once a couple feet away, you’re able to actually stabilize your weight atop the waxy substance. It still smells putrid, but less of iron and more of ammonia. Strangest yet is that it almost smells sweet. Despite your disgust you dig at the sides of the creature where its limbs seem to tangle underneath the hardened substance.
First you claw at the substance to crack the surface open. Underneath it was warm and brought out the smell. The image of a rotten watermelon comes into your mind and you do your best to stop thinking about it. Forming your hands into a scoop, you ladle the substance out with your hands and, for the first time, truly see what you’ve been crawling in as you hold it close to your face.
The substance is a tan-orangish colour that looks almost white as the more solid components of it flakes. As you continue to scoop the substance out, you can clearly see that it doesn’t come in one colour. Some parts are a deep cold brown and others even more yellow. The substance doesn’t seem to be uniform, or at the very least it’s not all made from the same thing.
Your finger grazes something warm and solid and with a few more scoops you’re able to see what’s beneath the substance.
Metal. Lines of metal that seem to pulse in a quick two beat then rest pattern. You place your palm fully against the metal and the heat of it is almost uncomfortable.
You turn to the creature to see that the man’s head is now turned towards you. You wonder if he sees you. Now that you’re close enough to him it almost looks as if he’s been crushed, or maybe he fell from a tall height. The creature struggles underneath the weight of the substance but eventually the top begins to crack and hotter pools begin to spill to the surface. For some reason, to avoid the sudden slow moving flood you turn to anchor yourself to the collection of limbs, heads and torsos that seem to be stuck in it.
And it tries its best. The man with a tight face and broken bones holds your hand steady as you climb.
Emaciated and sickly arms brush out the wax that had gotten on your face and someone with a heavily bruised and flattened chest hoists you higher.
There’s an individual whose face you have a hard time looking at, yet the massive and symmetrical holes across their body are also hard to focus on. They don’t seem to take an insult to your cowardice as they simply guide you to turn around and hands from somewhere above you cover your eyes.
There’s additional hands that rub at your shoulders and one that holds your pinky specifically. That hand in particular feels quite small. There’s someone whispering to you and you think it’s nice things, but the organic clicks and sighs of your own tongue sound so alien to you now.
It’s cold, but the thought is much appreciated as this mass thronging with faces and arms tries to gently hold you. Even though you know it to be cold, you feel quite warm as something claws at your heart. Or does it claw at your spark? _____________________________________________________________ When you wake up you’re once again in a dark room, yet this time you know where you are. Vaguely. Drift was holding you close shortly before you slipped into sleep a recharge, which is evident as he’s still right beside you. It seems as if after you had gone into recharge Drift decided to join you and simply dragged you to a berth. You’re pretty sure Ratchet would chew him out for not keeping you in a bassinet, but it’s not like you can tattle on him.
It’s impossible not to find the situation daunting. The secret is out to an unknown number of bots, which leaves two circumstances that will now come into play. First, is that you can (hopefully) communicate easier to everyone. It should be much easier to now warn people and claim the gifts of prophecy if they realize you’re capable of a coherent thought. Second, is that common opinion on you will vary. A lot of suspicious behaviour has been ignored due to the fact that an infant is not capable of planning, once the information is out there will surely be hesitation on your past and future behaviour.
You sit up and look at Drift peacefully slumbering. He gets this information that you are a conglomerate creation of an organic mess and metal, pities you, and then falls into recharge beside you? Willingly? It’s strange behaviour to pity the unknown. Crawling closer to Drift's faceplates you blow a vent to metal covering his optics to see if they’ll flutter in response.
They do. It reminds you that despite your differences there are still so many traits that remain familiar and human to you. And it also means that this bastard is awake and pretending to be recharging. You pinch his nose between two tiny digits and laugh when a dim blue light engulfs the room as he opens his optics. The huff he makes sounds muffled and it helps improve your mood. You’ve successfully plugged a Samurai master’s nose. It probably shouldn’t be something you’re proud of, but it’s funny regardless.
Making no effort to brush you off in any way, Drift's voice sounds nasally and slightly higher than normal as his nose remains plugged. “How was your rest, little one?”
You make a shrugging motion and lie next to his helm after releasing his nose. It’s not as fun if he doesn’t care. However his question does stir something in you. Your dream felt uncomfortable yet also safe. There was something so familiar and simply right about wherever it is you keep dreaming of. There’s a part of you that wants to understand more of it, and a deeper part that feels appeased with the knowledge that you have now. What an odd feeling.
Raising one of his servos to trace the metal on the side of your helm, Drift once again closes his optics. “I hope you don’t mind but I called Ratchet to make an in-suite appointment. He knows it’s about you, but he doesn’t know anything about you yet.”
He opens one of his optics to stare at you. You wonder what sort of reaction he’s looking for.
“Chromedome and I know about the datapad and the experiments but that’s it. We decided that the less mechs who know about your history the better. At least until you’re old enough to be able to speak on your own behalf.”
That’s… surprisingly considerate. You wonder what was in the datapad to make Drift so confident that you aren’t some sort of spying device. Or to pity you instead of suspect you in general.
“I don’t know when he’ll be here, he said he was busy, but I was thinking that at a minimum he and Rodimus should know about your… uhm… history.”
Sounds reasonable. There are probably a couple other mechs that should be aware initially for security reasons. The datapads mentioned a captain, who you have no idea who they were but they probably know about you, and the artifact itself has not been found still. Based on the datapad logs, you are connected to the artifact and are draining its power and somehow Aquaheap combined the lingering power of the other subjects to amplify your own dwindling amount. It would be bad if someone wanted to use the artifact again, as you would likely have to be a part of the process. Speaking of, how did Aquaheap combine energy that was attached to other humans? The log's pointed to the fact that they all died after experimentation.
You begin to cross your arms over your chassis, you don’t know why, it simply feels right.
Is it possible to pull power from whatever the artifact was previously used on? The datapad said the other subjects were returned? What does ‘returned’ entail? How do you return a dead body? There’s a sudden tight suffocating feeling where you instinctively think the end of your esophagus lies, despite you not having one anymore. Would that be your spark?
How do you return a dead body? Where are the others? Are they in y-
There’s servos tapping your side and your vision becomes clear again. You didn’t even realise it was blurry. Once you do begin retaining visuals again, you see a red reflective light flashing on Drift’s armour. Are you sick again?
“-ey. Hey, Bitty. Little one? Are you there? Is everything okay?”
You look up to Drift to see him curled inwards towards you with a worried look covering his face. “I know that it might be scary but it will be good to at least tell those two. It will be better in case of any emergencies.”
One problem at a time. You take a deep vent in and try to slowly vent it out before sitting up. Laying down and stewing in your own misery is too tempting. Drift grabs one of your servo’s and rubs the small amount of metal on the back. He doesn’t say anything as he seems to either be thinking about something himself or is just giving you some space. You appreciate it either way.
Light floods the room as the door to the habsuite opens and Ratchet practically bursts through. He observes you sitting up and Drift seemingly just waking up from recharge. Drift doesn’t even acknowledge Ratchet yet his expression changes from worry to a grimace.
Ratchet walks over and scoops you up from the berth, "Unbelievable! You left them unattended and out of their bassinet while you recharged!?”
Finally turning around, Drift slowly gets up. He’s very expressional today as something sheepish is reflected in his optics. “I swear, I was functional the entire time.”
“You were simply resting your optics?”
“Yes! I … was connecting with them?”
“Their alarm just went off minutes ago and you were in recharge!”
“I wasn’t! I was awake! I swear! I could tell you the exact time it started and stopped!”
Beginning to turn and walk out of the room with you Ratchet huffs, “I’m sure you can.”
Before ratchet can leave, Drift calls out to him “In-suite appointment Ratchet, it’s important that it stays here please.”
You think you may be getting a bit better at reading fields since you’re pretty sure waves of fury are emanating from Ratchet as he spoke through clenched denta, “The alarm for their spark just went off, Drift. I need to go inspect it.”
Drift vents. He looks miserable. “I know. But I think I know what caused that too. It involves what I want to talk about.”
Ratchet closes the door, pulls out a chair from the nearby desk, sits in it, and pulls out a datapad all the while holding you securely under his chin. “You’ve got maybe 5 clicks to fill me in before I go check on Bitty’s disk.” ______________________________________________________ Drift was succinct in his explanations. Yet it definitely took more than 5 minutes clicks. Ratchet stopped writing in his datapad once he started to understand the gravity of the situation and remained quiet as Drift spoke. Despite no outward changes in expressions or reactions, the changes in his grip were evident enough for you to feel anxious.
“So… what I’m gathering… is that the Bitle- Er. Uhm.” Ratchet turns to you, “Are you okay with Bitlet, Bitty… that sort of thing? We normally wait for proper designation- Names? It’s names isn’t it? Not designations. Anyways, we normally wait for proper names until a bot can name themselves.” Ratchet pauses before he turns to Drift, “Do they understand what I'm saying?”
Drift shrugs.
You nod.
Ratchet continues, “Okay. So. The ..Bitlet… was actually human, and thanks to some wackjob using an ancient artifact from Solus Prime, they forced their consciousness out of their frame-er, uhm -their body and into a frame the wackjob made.”
Drift quickly glances your way before continuing, “Mostly, yeah, you got it. Based on the datapad’s logs we believe that the artifact may have been malfunctioning. And.. we believe that the Bitlet actually rejected the frame that created and made this one with the materials.”
“They made it?”
“Or the artifact did. The logs were vague.”
Ratchet gives Drift an unimpressed look.
“The datapad logs said that the age of a human was incompatible with the artifact. That the artifact would react to fact rather than a want, and the fact is that this human, our bitlet, was young and the artifact simply matched that.”
Interesting information. And kind of wrong too. Or maybe they were just interpreting Aquaheap’s findings wrong? Compared to a Cybertronian you are always going to be an infant in ages since by human definition they are walking artifacts, that much is true. However, your age wasn’t matched when your consciousness got transferred. There is a small level of doubt considering who you were before the experiments since you still don’t know how you got into this universe in the first place. Maybe this is purgatory and God is playing a trick on you. Maybe you were actually a baby and your previous memories only connected once you got experimented on? Or something like that? You don't have enough information to be sure of anything.
Ratchet shifts his hold to let you sit in his arms. It gives you enough room for you to lean back and look up at him. Simultaneously, it gives him the same opportunity to look at you. “I’m guessing that even if we found the artifact that there would be no way to return them to their body.”
Drift picks at something on one of his servos. Probably paint. “Yeah. Organic bodies… decompose quickly and it’s been far too long for anything to be done.”
“Then it doesn’t matter how old they were before. If they can’t go back, this is who they are now.” Slowly Ratchet traces the outlines of metal on your helm, just as Drift was doing earlier. “They’re still a sparkling despite how they were forged. They’re still going to grow, still learn about the universe, still learn from us, and still make choices that are stupid and smart. Just because they’ll remember their early cycles and maybe even prior events doesn’t mitigate the fact that they are going to have to go through life as a sparkling. This is their second start at life. Almost like being reforged- or reborn I guess.”
There’s a small smile on Drift's face, “That was quite poetic.”
When Ratchet glares Drift puts his servos up in surrender, “It was just a comment. Besides, I agree with you. You simply said it better than I could.”
The displeased expression never leaves Ratchet’s face as his servos drop from your helm to rub circles in your back. “My only concern on their background for now or in the future is how others will react. How many mechs know?”
“Just you, me, and Chromodome.”
“Rodimus doesn’t know?”
“No he doesn’t.. Not yet anyways. I wanted to be selectful of who should know and sometimes when you tell Rodimus something you have to make sure that he’s.. Uh…”
“...In the right mood?”
“Yeah. And he’s currently pretty jovial with Magnus in Hedonia. I don’t know how he’ll take this information.”
We’re already at that point in the comics? There's a party down in Hednoia? How long did you recharge for? Long enough for the ship to reach another planet and send a small shuttle full of bots on a little trip? You don’t have much longer until the days of action then. Luckily, it should be easier to communicate now which should make it painless to get the message across in time. You look around the room for something useful while the two of them continue talking.
“He’s the Captain. He can take it. Besides, it might be a perfect time to tell him then. There’s a good amount of bots that went down to Hedonia which can give the two of you plenty of time for a private conversation.”
Squirming in Ratchet’s hold you try to dive for his datapad, writing is still hard but that doesn’t mean you can’t open the whiteboard function! Surely they’ll understand your drawings now. Right? Once Ratchet realizes what you’re trying to get he loudly scoffs, yet still leans over to grab the datapad for you, “Drift. I thought I made an announcement to limit their screen time! You and the others are getting them addicted!”
You open a blank page and laugh as Drift tries to defend himself. You probably should lay off the datapads for a little while once everything calms down anyways. You’ve been planning and preparing for future events but haven’t really looked at the now. Not only do you need to stay vigilant for any changes occurring in the comics, but it would also just be nice to get closer to the mech’s taking care of you. But currently, you need to warn the others so that good things remain in the future. Drift mentioned that he was going to talk to Rodimus, so maybe you can send a message.
“-esides I do try to give them other stimulation! They’re just great with technology, you can even ask Perceptor about that!”
You start with a couple doors. It’s quite hard to draw a door, but you continue to do so anyway.
Ratchet simply groans and lets his helm fall backwards to look up at the ceiling. Drift, for some reason, takes this as an action of defeat and continues to defend himself. “Besides I’m sure they’ll come out as quite the artist in a couple quartex’s! Look! What are they drawing now?”
Once a couple doors were in the picture, you begin drawing Overlord behind the middle one. To make the door holding him look stronger you thickened the outline of his door and scribbled the other ones out to make them look weak. You won't let the improved security be forgotten this time!
Full of poise and confidence Drift walks over to observe the datapad while Ratchet returns his helm to a normal position. “Drift. They’re drawing squares, squiggles, and an angry face.”
No! Not even close!
“Hey! Don’t doubt their abilities! That’s clearly a monster!”
A monster is a bit closer but the result is still disappointing. You begin to draw more doors, and even point at them. Drift simply laughs and nods his helm, “Yes Bitty, squares! I see them!”
Why does nothing go your way?

Thanks for reading! Sorry for the skipped week, I got busy… Anyways, I hope you liked this one because I found my new favourite word! Throng! It means a densely packed crowd or for something to be jam packed!
Reborn as a Bitlet?

_____________________________________
It’s rare that you aren’t seen with Rung since he’s currently your primary caretaker. However you do believe that is about to change soon. Whenever Rung has a patient or believes that you need some form of outside stimulation he asks a couple mechs if they’re available and there are three that constantly place themselves as such (even if they aren’t really available).
Rodimus is one of them. Undeniably, he ignores some of his more boring captain duties in exchange for taking care of you. He’s quite warm and likes to simply parade you around so there's not much to complain about. Next is Drift. You aren’t as sure why he’s so adamant in being such an integral part of your life, but he is very much trying to teach you meditation and gives you many sword toys. He gives you lots of compliments on how hard you try but it’s quite easy to exceed expectations when you are expected to act like something that will eat pens if you don’t watch close enough. But you think that deep down he just wants to do something good. And maybe take you under his wing.
The last bot, or pair since they’re often together, is Chromedome and Rewind. You honestly believed that Chromedome would start ignoring you after the horror movie stunt you pulled by drawing the very dangerous convict in the bellows of the ship that no one is supposed to know about. It's lucky that he doesn’t suspect you as an extension of anything nefarious. Likely just believes that it’s something you heard about while you were on the other ship and that information somehow got leaked. Chromedome, in fact, often asks you to draw more. To which of course you supply. You drew Overlord again, but this time you drew the rough shape of his cell and the ejected part of it in space. You’ve drawn other items as well, like Ambulon being cut in half and Tailgate getting sick. However, you try drawing more about the Overlord incident than any others since that’s the one that’s coming up. You don’t believe that Chromedome thinks that you know the future, simply that information was leaked and you overheard it. Rewind seems ecstatic at the opportunity to record you growing and learning (very cute). But he is very confused at your conflicting behaviour between how much you are supposed to process at your age and the variation of knowledge you possess (less cute).
The medics have confirmed that you were forged about half a stellar cycle ago. Which if you remember correctly is roughly three months. That information did boggle your mind at first, since that either means you have been on the Lost Light for a while, the ‘week’ you spent with Aquaheap and Havoc was more than a week, or your frame was made long before you were forced into it. It’s hard to tell exactly how much time has passed since Cybertronians aren’t exactly diurnal with their recharge schedules. It’s more like taking a rest when you are tired. It’s unclear if you recharge more because it’s needed for development or if your biological roots still have control over your habits. But based on your own sleep recharge schedule, you believe you have been aboard for nearly two weeks.
Despite the little amount of time you’ve spent with everyone here, you seem to be quite the hot topic. You’re unsure if it’s because you’re a new happy thing, or if sparklings are really just that rare. There've been a couple bots who’ve admitted that they’ve never seen a physical sparkling.
_________________________________________________
Someone roughly sets down a drink close to you and you’re tempted to simply knock it and all of its contents onto the ground for distracting you from the task at hand. That same person being Whirl, looms over into your space while you sit on the table closest to Tailgate. On the other side of the table is Rewind, Rung, Chromedome, and most surprisingly, Cyclonus. It’s most surprising for Cyclonus to be at the table since he hasn’t made the best connections with everyone yet. Maybe you're a little further in the story than you thought. The music is tame yet pronounced as Swerve makes his way over with a platter of drinks and a spoon for you.
Who let a baby in a bar?
“Sorry Bitty, I don’t have any sippy cups, and I don't know of anyone who would so we’re stuck with spoon feeding for now.”
A sippy cup sounds pretty liberating. It would be very nice to be able to focus on your own task without someone constantly checking on you. The current offenders are both Whirl and Tailgate as they disregard your personal space for different reasons. Tailgate thinks you’re adorable and simply wants to squish you while Whirl is trying his hardest to get a reaction out of you. Beneath you on the table is a datapad that Rung gave you for entertainment, initially you started drawing but quickly realized you could switch over to whatever documents were originally being looked at by double tapping the screen and moving it. You clicked on a page full of writing. Maybe a report? The glyphs themselves are so different but the length of the words are so familiar to you.
Whirl places his helm onto the table in front of you and slowly drags away the datapad, “what are you even doing on here little bitty.” You try to tug the datapad back but Whirl simply holds it above his head. “Are you reading? You can read?”
Rung, who had been watching the two of you, chastises Whirl, “they were drawing, and could you please give them back their datapad?”
“Uhhhm.. Developmental learning a case study in understanding sparkling object permanence… hold the neck to avoid distraction…relationship between development and-”
“That’s the article I was reading!” Rung reaches across from the table to grab the datapad from Whirl before giving it back to you on a blank page. “I’m so sorry bitty, I was sure I gave you a blank sleet.”
Tailgate, who had been watching you the entire time, and has been impatiently waiting for an opportunity to spoon feed you hums, “No you did, I think they just swiped to the page and weren’t able to figure out how to get back.”
“So you just watched them?”
“They were focused, it was cute.”
Once you get the datapad back, you immediately double tap the screen and click the article that Rung was apparently reading. Whirl had said the title outloud, which means you might be able to decipher some of the glyphs.
Inching further to you on the table, Rewind grabs his energon and takes a sip, “are we sure they’re as young as the medics said they were? Because I'm pretty sure they know exactly how to maneuver back and forth between pages.”
You would write out the words to better decipher but you’re pretty sure that most written languages would be pretty quickly identified and maybe even out your heritage. Counting in your head, (and with your hands) you line up the glyphs to spoken words mentally to hopefully at least understand where the sounds match up to the glyphs. The first word was developmental and the first glyph has 13 characters, exactly like the word, so you know that the first glyph makes a ‘d’ sound and the last an ‘l’ sound. Pretty easy. The next word is learning and the glyph has … 8 characters, exactly like the word. Pretty lucky so far that everything matches. The next word is ‘a’ and is represented by a single glyph. You look at the series of glyphs that make up ‘learning’ and find that the third glyph is the exact same as the one representing the letter ‘a’.
It’s your own language but in code. Of course. You keep forgetting that the bot’s around you, their history, and why you know what happens in the future is because you were launched into a comic. A comic that is now living with you in it. It makes sense that the glyphs would be code for the alphabet as it’s a simple way for a franchise to make up a language.
Unfortunately your code breaking gets cut short by Tailgate wrapping his servos around you and pulling you in closer so that he could wave a spoonful of energon in front of your faceplates. The only nice thing about your sovereignty being stripped is that everyone else is so much warmer than you are. You bite down on the spoon, hoping that once he gets his cute fill he’ll let you go back to what you were doing. “I don’t know Rewind, maybe they’re just a really quick learner. Unless a lot has changed, I don’t recall a lot of information being known about sparklings. They were pretty rare.”
Cyclonus leans back and hums, “No you’re right. They were always a rarity, especially during the war, there was simply no time or incentive to care for a sparkling.”
Tailgate huffs and scoops another spoon of energon for you, “Shame they’re a medic frame, I would love to see bitty more often.”
“But they’re not!” Rewind exclaims as the rest of the table turns to look at him. “I may not have very much data on sparklings but this one is an anomaly in every way that contradicts what I know!”
You wonder how a sparkling is supposed to act, and how miserably you’ve done. You try to act smart for your age but maybe you went a little too far.
Tailgate stops feeding you to look at Rewind, “They don’t have a medic frame? But they look so much like one?”
“I know! But apparently they have at least seven different key components that indicate a frame type. It's simply their colours that lead to a medic frame.”
Whirl raises his head from the table, “So which department raises them if they’re so fra-?”
Rung coughs into a closed servo and interrupts Whirl, “We’re currently not sure. The plan was indeed for a rotation between mechs until they were able to decide on their own, however the amount of sparkling-proofing that would need is beginning to be a little overzealous.”
Tailgate releases you from his grip to point at himself, “So even I could help?”
You take this time to scooch the datapad closer to where you could read it when Tailgate inevitably continues to spoon feed you.
Rung grimaces at Tailgates inquisition, “… maybe? It very much depends on what Rodimus, the Medics and I decide is safest. I’m pretty sure they’re going to let the information be public knowledge soon and then pick out a few mechs that would be qualified.”
Qualified to raise a baby, keep you safe or teach you? There’s a lot of questions that come from that statement. As Taiilagte grabs yet another spoonful and waves it in front of your face you swat it away in favour of ‘reading’ the article. Only to be chastised by Chromedome.
“That’s not very nice, bitty. Try to give them a little more energon Tailgate, they are still recovering from the malnourishment but they should start eating bigger doses now.”

Rodimus hates being in the dark. There’s so much unknown information around all the hope that’s being caused in the ship that it’s a little hard not to be wary.
“Anything?”
“No, this thing’s locked tight, I couldn’t get Brainstorm to get past security either. He said the same thing as Chromedome.”
“I see. So it really doesn’t contain any information about the artifact? Or where it is?”
“It still may, but if we’re articulating the information on the datapad is linked to the security question, then no. We know enough about the artifact that we would be able to get past it.”
“I was really hoping it would be about the artifact.”
“I know.”
“It would just make things so much easier.”
“I know.”
“That damned artifact could make things so much better, it could really do some good to help some of the damages caused by the war.”
“I know.”
“… So that datapad really is about the sparkling? Did you think the archive was too?”
“…No, not all of it. We were able to pull some information that hadn’t been destroyed. None of it very useful, but it appears that the artifact was being used in different kinds of experiments. They were looking at enhancing sparks… we think.”
“How does an artifact of creation add to something already made?”
“I don’t know.”

Not too long after everyone said their goodbyes at the bar, you’re sitting in your bright red bassinet in Rung’s office as he feeds you an energon supplement mixture provided by the medics when there’s a knock on the door. Stopping for a short moment to look at said door, Rung places the spoon in the energon. “Come in quietly please.”
To your surprise, when it opens it’s Drift on the other side, “Did I wake them?”
“No, no, don't worry, I was just giving them their supplements before recharge.”
Gingerly walking into the room, Drift spots you in the bassinet and waves. You wave back. It’s a simple exchange. And the action makes him look a lot happier.
As Drift approaches the two of you Rung questions him, “Did you have a particular reason for visiting our resident sparkling?"
“Actually, I’m here to see you.”
“Oh! Of course! I’m a little held up here but I also find that they're quite the tame sparkling, if you need to talk about anything we c-”
“I’m here to talk to you about the sparkling.”
“Oh.”
Drift pulls out a datapad from his subspace and hands it over to Rung. “This was found along with Bitty, and who we believe was taking care of them at the time.”
The datapad in question is the one that belonged to Aquaheap before he blew himself up. It’s the one you saw him writing in often. The one with a lot of information about you and the experiments.
Grabbing the datapad, Rung’s faceplates are lit up by the blue light that emanates from it, “What’s the password?”
“We don’t know. I’ve asked Chromedome and Brainstorm but that thing is locked tight. The only way in would be to reset the datapad which would delete all the information on it. Of course, the plan after that would be to check if the memory remains but we all believe that whoever secured this thing wouldn’t forget about that.”
Given the atrocity of their experiments and likely other heinous acts, you fully understand why the datapad is so tight with security. If anyone found it, the datapad would be akin to pleading guilty in a court case. Maybe that’s also why Aquaheap blew up the room of experiments. But why kill himself then? Why hide evidence if the only two perpetrators are dead? Is Havoc dead? Even though you do want to know what information lies in that datapad, you don’t want to be outed as organic. (But you aren’t organic anymore.)
“So what did you want me for?”
“There’s a security question on there, you spend the most time with bitty so we were hoping that if any key characteristics existed you would know about them.”
Rung clicks on the datapad and a different hue of blue flashes. “You’re sure this is about the sparkling and not the artifact?”
“We’re looking into that possibility as well, but so far nothing has come up so we’re leaning towards it being about bitty and not the artifact.”
You’re the security question? What information about you is secure enough to be placed as a security question in the eyes of your perpetrators?
“Wouldn’t the medics know?”
“Tried that, but apparently they can’t tell in the slightest. In fact, there’s too many characteristics.”
“So you want me to find any subconscious traits in a sparkling that would locate them since physical ones don't work?”
Locate what? What do you have that could be located?
“Or conscious ones. Figured it was best to try before we wiped it.” Drift looks at you and pats your helm, “They are pretty good at expressing themselves. If you have no idea in a couple of cycles, just tell me and we’ll move onto the next step.”
“Sure. I don’t think anything will come up, but it’s worth a try.”
You don’t really want everyone to know about the information on that datapad. Well, except for you. Truly, you have no idea what is on there. Information for how you were reborn in this universe? In this body? Where your other body is? Why do you taste rot and why is it so cold?
It’s information that you want to stay private. At least that you know.
Putting down the datapad Rung gets up to escort Drift to the door. You lean out of your bassinet and quickly click on the blue screen. It shows two options. The first has a blank block next to a word that you’re pretty sure is password. The other option reads security… something.
Likely security question. You click on that option.
A new screen opens up in a different shade of blue. A line of glyphs next to fillable box akin to the password page. You're not certain, but you're pretty sure you can decipher the question.
“Where did we find it?"

Will's Contract
I remember seeing a post about Will's contract but I can't find it again. One thing it pointed out was that the contract made the team owner or whoever not liable for injury/death. Which got me thinking, I'm 90% the only reason Will was signed on by Flo (is that how you spell it?) Was to gain some media attention or something along those lines (I haven't been able to see the movie myself so I'm working off clips).
What if Will's contract is really shity compared to the rest of the teams? Like, while Jett is recovering in the off season, it comes up that Jett's recovery is being partially/fully off of a team recovery fund (I don't know if that's a really thing in sports, but look at roar ball for 0.5 seconds and tell me they don't have something in place to support players). And Will is like, "Oh cool, I don't remember that in my contract." And maybe the other players laugh it off because, yah those contracts have a ton of stuff in them, why would he remember that?
Will probably read through his contract at least 20 times to make sure it was real. He was not joking.
Then later in the off season, Will gets knocked around a bit too hard, lands a bit wrong, happens to everyone. But he's really quiet about it and keeps brushing off any comments about it.
Eventually, someone corners him about it, probably Jett, and learns it's because he's worried about paying for hospital tests and treatments (he's familiar with the prices after his mom died and the hospital bills came in).
"Hey, that's what the team recovery fund is for."
"Uh, but I'm not allowed to use that? The contract said I was responsible for all my own medical costs. It never said anything about that."
"... it what."
So the team gets their hands on Will's contract and finds out it has some, uh, major differences to their own standard contracts.
Not only was Will having to pay for all his medical stuff out of pocket, but his pay was smaller than theirs, like missing one or two zeros smaller. The contract is missing so many sections that their contracts have about merchandise, security, media training, recovery protocols, etc.
Will's contract was two pages. Their contracts were packets.
"Guess she didn't expect me to stick around for long, huh?"
