Back from NY!

I have to say I’m not a big fan.  It’s too intense and crowded and there are too many people harassing you on the sidewalks and while the city is pretty amazing, I am certainly not the type of person who could live there.  

I did really enjoy our studio visits though and I am glad I went!  Living there is just out of the question though which makes me worry since a few of the grad schools I’m interested in are in NY.  

Also living expenses WOW expensive.

I am not a big city girl at all.

Also I'll be getting up some photos soon.  Most of them are instagram but whatevs.

NEW YORK OR BUST!

November 8-13 is my trip to New York City!  It's part of a class and I'll be going with the printmaking department!  

So if you have any good restaurants or cool places I should know about and visit TELL ME WHAT THEY ARE!  

Hopefully I'll have better internet access this time around and also I might bring my computer which would make things a lot easier to do in terms of photos.

Also I think I lost all my London/Paris photographs during the computer crash last year which sucks.  I keep hoping they're somewhere.

The view from Pilot Mountain

In the 40 years my parents have been going down to North Carolina and the 19 years that I have been, not once have we ever actually gone up Pilot Mountain.  At first it was because we were driving straight through and had to get to the condo in time.  Then, later, it was because my Nana would have had difficulty walking around up there.  But this year, we finally stopped and looked, and WOW, was the view amazing

Not everybody conforms to the gender binary that Facebook makes us choose between. Everyone should have the right to not reveal their gender, or select a neutral option that replaces “his/him” and “her/hers” with the appropriate gender-neutral pronouns. Even when one selects to not reveal their gender in their profile Facebook still applies gender-specific pronouns to their posts. This is inappropriate and disheartening for gender-neutral and gender non-conforming individuals.

Many individuals who do not conform to the gender binary, whether identify as transgender, cisgender, trigender, genderqueer, etc, do not wish to use gender specific pronouns. These people should be accommodated.

First of the London/Paris trip pictures!  Finally!

This is basically the arrival into London and the first night out we had!  It was freezing that night but we went around everywhere despite it and had a lot of fun just "touring" in the dark.

Just wondering... does the iPad play the video you upload onto this site... it's Flash... or is there a Tumblr App for that?

I use tumblita which sometimes does and sometimes does not.  Usually if I refresh it will.  Not sure why?!

More London protest/riot shenanigans. Don't tell my parents.

Massive riot yesterday when we went to visit King's Cross Station. Got my (bad...doesn't anyone know how to use a camera?) photo at Platform 9&3/4s but we got locked out of the underground because of this protest and had to walk a few blocks to the next station to get home.
