Sex. It was a rite of passage for his squad, one of those open secrets everyone knew about, but not many spoke of often. A privilege, granted to a man like Viktor on account of his accolades. Perhaps, someone had tried to contest it, denounce it, but Viktor had never heard about it.
There was method to his madness. Submission was given willingly by the rookies on the squad, and accepted with vigor by the leader. It had been over a decade since Viktor had begun applying his method, and over the years, almost no other squad rivaled the cohesion that his squad had on the field. It made positions on his team coveted. And with a new opening, a few names among the rookies had voiced their desires to join. Ultimately, he had chosen two so-called finalists.
"So, rookie, do you understand what will happen tonight?" Viktor asked Leon. He'd spent the better part of fifteen minutes going over the intricacies of the night. "A simple yes or no will suffice, but keep in mind a no means you walk out of this room, never to join. We don't do second chances."
Leon had no idea what he was getting into before joining this squad. Of course, once he had joined he had pretty quickly learned exactly what was going to be expected of him. He looked over at Viktor, his brow furrowed. This was all so strange. Still, he had always wanted to be a cop and clearly this was what it was going to take. If everyone else did it, who was he to deny it?
"I understand. But I've never been too good when it comes to sharing my hook ups. But I guess if it's for work I can make do." He chuckled softly as he rubbed his back, clearly feeling a bit uncomfortable with the set up. He knew he'd have to try and just trust that whatever Viktor was doing was for the best of the team.
"So... Is there some specific way you want me? I mean are we going to do this here or somewhere else?"
"Still way more exciting than whatever I had planned, Ren. Which was probably just gonna dissolve in to studying or staring at my screen for way too long." Ryan kept his voice easy as the other seemed to be assessing him for a moment. Quick to offer a reassuring smile, even as he moved to start following the others lead if he did start leading. "Yeah? Works for me. What sort of designs have you made, seeing as all I really know you're missing is a dragon." He had to admit, his brain did briefly go to the big long ones that they used during chinese new year.
Renato laughed easily and nodded. "Fair. Studying does suck. I know I'm always trying to avoid it." Of course he still had to if he wanted to keep his grades up. "Most of my designs are on the simple side. Either boxes or hexagons. Half of them aren't even painted because I've never used them." He gave a small laugh. "I kind of have a problem where I make more kites than I can use. Part of me wishes I could sell them, but there's not a huge market for that." He let out a soft laugh, shrugging his shoulders lazily. Clearly he wasn't too worried about it.
Huh, not quite what he'd been expecting, that was for sure. Some part of him was aware of the target his connection painted on his back. People that were aware of it were largely a danger, but considering Simon's approach... It didn't seem as much. His posture shifted slowly. Less of that performative front, to instead really look at the other. He was trying, that was clear. A shameless moment spent looking him over, before bringing his attention back up to his face. "I'm good. Something of a willing vic- No, that doesn't ound right. I knew what I was getting myself in to? I'm not a danger to others." And maybe part of the danger to himself just added to the thrill. As he spoke, he moved himself in closer to Simon, head once again tipping. "Some kind of hunter? Slayer? I feel like there's so many terms thrown around, it's hard to keep track. Definitely look fit enough to be, though."
Simon tilted his head when the other mentioned it being something he was willing to take on. That was strange, but Simon didn't want to judge too quickly. "Well no offense, but I might stick around. Just to make sure you're safe." He watched as the other moved closer, looking him up and down. It helped that he was incredibly handsome. Simon didn't often spend time looking at others, but it was hard to ignore just how good he looked. "A hunter. Normally it's vampires that I hunt, but really I'll take down any kind of demon." He glanced down at himself, unable to argue with the fact that he was uniquely built. Most people didn't spend nearly as much time as he did working out. "But I won't hurt you. I promise."
Fen huffs out softly once Evan is in the bathroom and lets his eyes slip shut. He can feel the throb throughout his head. Relishes in the dull ache he knows will be left behind. The moment he hears him return he opens his eyes once more and smiles a little too fondly. "Miss you whenever I can't see you. What then?" Fen tips his head back as if he had any energy to taunt and challenge the other man. "What if you're busy? Too busy to come get me?" Fen bites his lip into his mouth and feels the heat from where Evan bit him. A hiss escapes from between his lips as Evan presses his lips to his skin. "I know. I'll find you in every life. Until we're rotting together." He wraps his arms around Evan's shoulders and the pressure against the bruises makes him groan. Fen brushes his fingers down the others skin, "let me see your phone Evan."
Evan liked knowing that Fen missed him so easily. It made him happy to know that being out of the other's eyesight caused him any amount of discomfort. It was the exact same for him. He needed Fen. Without the other he couldn't be okay. "Never. I will never be too busy. I'll burn anything and everything down for you until nothing is left but you and me, okay? Nothing matters. Not my money. Not my name. Nothing." His words were a promise. He cupped the other's face, peppering Fen with soft kisses. When the other told him to get his phone, he nodded. He quickly had to run downstairs to his pants, coming back a few seconds later. Quickly unlocking it, Evan held it out. "Here you go. Why do you want it?"
Hari gave the other a small frown. "How cruel." He leaned his head on his hand, glancing towards the recorder. He had a few of his own, though they were all at home. He had figured it was best to just try and get out of this without being sued into oblivion. "Bugging my place? Are you serious? How can I expect to get laid knowing you and your goons are listening in." That was absolutely not his biggest issue right now, but Hari was trying to avoid thinking about the realities of this. "Okay, okay. I get it. You guys get to bug me and be totally obsessed with me for as long as you want. But I feel like I need something out of this." He was toying with the pen between his fingers, what could he ask for that wouldn't get him murdered or ruined? "I deal with a lot of shit like this. I mean not normally this serious, but I've gotten a lot of letters telling me off. If I sign this, that kind of means we're on the same side, right? So you could be loyal to us both?" He leaned forward and grinned. "Promise to be my lawyer whenever I need on other cases and I'll sign it right now." He beamed brightly at the other, interested to see if the other would actually bite.

"if you sign this, we'd be on the same side for the six months that you'll be under surveillance only. therefore, i can represent you legally for all of those six months. i'm sure i can get you out of whatever mess you've gotten yourself into." he was a shark. thinking about the challenge alone made him smirk. "i'll be your lawyer for six months. more or less if your contract ends on different terms." he hoped he wasn't going to regret that decision, but he figured tyler would be okay with it.
Hari nodded his head slightly and sighed. It would be annoying, but he probably would end up forgetting about it. "Though with how much I record, you'd likely end up hearing anything I talked about anyway." Hadn't that been the problem? That he talked too much for his own good. When the other agreed to his request, Hari finally uncapped the pen. He signed where he was told and tossed it down, sitting back. "So does that mean we have that stuff where you can't tell anyone what we talk about?" He was feeling rather pleased with himself, even though he had absolutely come out of this on the losing side. At the very least he got to feel like he had won something. "Cause I already have some letters from lawyers asking me to shut up. So you can help me with those, right?" The boy was no longer pouting, replaced instead with a bright grin. It was fun to tease the lawyer. He was so rigid it that it had become a game for Hari to try and earn some reaction.
Liam was confused when the other seemingly rejected his offer of food as payment. "Well... I don't know. I just figured that if you do a favor for me, I should return it." He tilted his head. "Okay, well I want to make you food. I like cooking and it's way more fun to cook for too." He leaned back against his counter, arms crossed. "Wow. You know you don't have to sell me on this, right? Like I've already moved here." He was teasing as he pushed himself off of the counter. He lead the large man to his living room, nodding towards a group of boxes. "Can you move those to my bedroom? It's upstairs. I've been dreading moving them." He glanced over at the other, his eyes trailing down the other's arms. God, they were massive.
suddenly, hayes wondered if he seemed rude for rejecting the man's offer. he rose his hands up in self defense. "not that i don't want your food or anything, but i don't want you to feel like you have to do me a favor because i'm doing you one. if you like cooking and it's not going out of your way, then i'd love to stay for dinner." he moved his arms back down. "i know, i know, but there's always a chance you might think about moving back. i don't want that to happen." hayes looked over at the boxes and quickly went to work. he crouched down to grab one of them, knowing the importance of lifting with his knees and not bending over. "which one's your bedroom? i'll have all of these in there in no time. you're in good hands." he winked over at liam. maybe he was laying it on a little too thick.
Liam gave a small shrug. "It's up to you. You don't have to stay if you have other plans. I could always make you a plate to go." He watched as the other picked up the box, a little jealous at how easy the other made it look. "Upstairs. First door on the left." His room was pretty bare bones. Just a bed, a dresser, and a few personal objects. The entire house was like that, not yet moved into and lacking personality. He had been debating putting up some of his stuff, not sure how people might react to his occult decor. As much as Liam was excited to move away from the city, he was still getting used to this new environment and trying to figure out if he could truly be himself. "Just toss them anywhere. I'll have to unpack them some other time."

Leon finished hammering the board over the window of the only well intact house in the abadonded subdivision. He knew that this place should be fine for the night, but by the morning they would need to keep moving.
