I just woke up so I’m out of the loop - what happened to Elkie? Did she leave Cube or smthn??

she apparently sued Cube to terminate her contract, which i guess means she’s leaving CLC! :(

apparently, Cube hasnt paid her for any of the acting work she’s done. they just took all the money... and kept it. and also, she said that Cube told the CLC members sometime this year that they would no longer support CLC’s development... and im not sure what all the implications of that are, but it sounds like Cube gave up on them. it was initially reported that they said this in February 2020, but that was a mistranslation, it just said 2020. so we dont know if Cube told CLC that before or after Helicopter. but since they were apparently prepping a comeback in January or so, and then didnt end up coming back until September... it was probably something that Cube had decided on for a while. and like idk if this means Cube was gonna disband CLC anyway, or if it just meant that CLC would have to sort of self-fund from here on out, or just that Cube wouldnt do any more than the bare minimum in terms of funding and promoting... i literally dont know. “not support the development” could mean a lot of things. but all i know is that none of it is good. 

so.... it sucks, but at the same time, good for Elkie! standing up for what she deserves! she knows she’s too good to be treated like this! good for her! i hope the other members terminate their contracts too so that the group can stay together (maybe), because as far as we know there is no disagreement between the members, and if this is true then they’re probably all getting screwed over in a similar way. 

this is still like breaking news, so we dont know all the details or what will happen next, but yeah

CLC have some of the best vocals, dancers and visuals I've seen in kpop. They're my ult girl group. They also pull of all kinds of concepts. There is so much potential and Cube wasted it. And because they're not the most popular group, I'm worried that another label wouldn't want to take them on 😔😔
