thinking abt the incredibly complex and Horrifying dynamic of being in a strong stable relationship for years and being in love with that person but then meeting someone Else and accidentally falling in love with them too and it's someone you can never have and in another life or at a different time things could've worked out and you could be together right now but that Did Not Happen so you're just left with thinking about what could have been and trying to balance this knowledge and these strong feelings while also knowing you will be steadily working with this person for the next few years and probably associated with them for the rest of your lives and also they're your best friend. yeah. incredibly complex and horrifying.
