Who are your inspirations? what techniques do you employ when you study? What sources do you use to understand color? how do you practice your line work?

Just never be happy with what you make and even when you reach a goal in undertsanding or skill, raise your standards even higher😃
Kidding, partially, but by being exigent and not being satisfied with little, you will strive for more.
My inspirations are: Barcsay Jenő(favourite of all time), Gottfried Bammes, renaissance and baroque artists/sculptors, Robert Valley, impressionist and post-impressionist painters(Toulouse Lautrec, Edgar Degas are my main sources for colour study material) and uh...whatever phase of art I am at dictates the corresponding favourite artist. Right now I am experimenting with graphical styles, so my go-to inspiration is currently Albrecht Dürer. Plus he was so, so handsome, hehe
When I study, I try my best to draw as faithfully as I can to the source and not fall into the stereotypes of my usual art('artstyle). I like to do studies in pencil or ballpoint pen, as they can be precise. The pencil offers a faster coverage of surface, good for quicker or more atmospheric studies, but I find the latter technique more challenging and thereby rewarding.
Here's one of my studies in ballpoint pen, i really like the effect of the blue as it intensifies depending on the thickness of the lines.
Hmm, about understanding colour....I really struggle with it😭 At school, our colour teacher is really rude and mean, so I admit to having developed quite the displeasure towards colours. I would recommend studying the masters. Just try to copy them and you'll pick their habits up.
Linework...I'm not so good at linework, but my biggest inspiration and source of study is ofcourse the master John Singer Sargent. There is so much to learn from even his quickest skecthes. Amazing art
