I Knew You Were Trouble was the first song of yours I heard. I had listened to a few bops from Fearless, but I HEARD IKYWT. Being cut open by your lyrics was something altogether different. It was just a really good song, it was words I had thought and emotions I had tried to express. I was hooked and thus began my swiftie existence. My story isn't particularly heart breaking, but I feel that it is one that people can relate to. I need you and your music, because I dont like who I am without it. Your music gives me an outlet to be who I want to be. If I'm feeling down I throw on Red and let your heartbreaking, haunting lyrics wash over me and search through what I'm feeling until I can pinpoint it. When I'm happy and want to SING then Speak Now is my go to. My daughter and I jam out to Shake It Off practically every day. You have helped me through some of the biggest parts of my life so far.

Going through an extensive legal process to adopt one of my children, your songs were on repeat. If I was angry or sad, I had reputation. I would scream these lyrics, I would remind myself that I am bad ass and i got this, because YOU had it. When the adoption was final, your songs blared, Long Live was an anthem I claimed. When my husband went through some scary medical issues and I wasn't sure what would happen, I had your love songs that broke me and reminded me that LOVE WINS. The music seeped into my skin like a salve, calming the pain. Ours, Dress, Enchanted, Fearless, NYD, and countless others were my medicine.

You help people heal. You help get me in a good mood so I can be that super mom for my kids (who both adore you!) We watch all the videos, discuss possible Easter eggs, and sing the songs VERY LOUDLY! I'm happier because I found you, I'm a better person because I found you, and I despite all the bad things, I haven't broken because I found you.
