edging her to the point where she can only pant and whine like the desperate mess she is, unable to form coherent sentences, completely lost in the moment craving some kind of relief. what do you say when you want something, pretty girl?
“Trust life, even if you cannot trust people. For human nature is unreliable, but life itself is ruled by immutable law. Right action leads always, in the end, to victory.” -Swami Kriyananda

“Don’t wait too long. Life takes unexpected turns, and we don’t always have the time we think we have.”

There is nothing that attracts me more than a deep, honest, serene, and truly meaningful conversation.
I don’t know a perfect person. I only know flawed people who are still worth loving.
John Green
“There’s a Japanese phrase that I like: koi no yokan. It doesn’t mean love at first sight. It’s closer to love at second sight. It’s the feeling when you meet someone that you’re going to fall in love with them. Maybe you don’t love them right away, but it’s inevitable that you will.”
— Nicola Yoon, The Sun Is Also a Star
Apply for that job. Date that person. Buy that plane ticket. Move to that city. Do all the things that scare you, because they’re worth it.

I’ve always liked quiet people: You never know if they’re dancing in a daydream or if they’re carrying the weight of the world.
John Green
i've been reading a lot of books about urban naturalism recently, and the one big thing they all talk about is how you HAVE to stop seeing nature as something that happens somewhere else. nature is not just charismatic megafauna and state parks and mountain ranges. nature is that abandoned lot that's growing native milkweed in it. nature is the murder of crows that lives in your block. nature is the moss growing on your roof and the dandelions growing in the sidewalk cracks and the song birds at your neighbor's birdfeeder. and you should care about it! you should notice it! that's YOUR nature!

I have a deeply hidden and inarticulate desire for something beyond the daily life.

We look to the future for completeness, because on some level we feel incomplete in the present moment.
It is crucial to understand this: our search for something abstract in the future—enlightenment, wealth, power, success, love—is always deeply rooted in present-moment resistance. Our search for future completeness is always rooted in an experience of present incompleteness.
Present-moment incompleteness is where all our suffering and seeking begin. And a deep acceptance of the present moment is where it can end.
Jeff Foster, The Deepest Acceptance
