Marbrisa House. Overlooking Acapulco Bay, Mexico 1978. Arch. John Lautner.
Alvar Aalto (Feb. 3, 1898 - 1976) was a Finnish, Modernist architect, whose love of white marble and copper designs really shines in the Museum of Modern Art in Aalborg, Denmark, now known as Kunsten.
Aalto designed the museum building and its fixtures in the mid 1960s and the museum was built from 1968 to 1972. He was assisted by his wife Elissa Aalto and Danish architect Jean-Jacques Baruël.
This museum building is the only work of Aalto’s constructed outside his native Finland. It entered the register of protected buildings in Denmark already in 1995, as the first building of less than 100 years of age ever.

Dissatisfied with Warriors of the Wind, Miyazaki adopted a strict “no-edits” clause for further foreign releases of Studio Ghibli’s films. On hearing Miramax co-chairman Harvey Weinstein would attempt to edit Princess Mononoke to make it more marketable, Toshio Suzuki sent an authentic katana with a simple message: “No cuts”.
OH MY GOD

If the devil has a pitchfork and the grim reaper has a scythe, is agriculture a major industry in the underworld?
Agriculture is the underworld on earth

I’m not saying pizza is a reason to live, but I am saying I’ve noticed I drive a lot more carefully when one is in the car.
