I took a walk down the road from Crookedtree Coffeehouse to spot this amazing Thai Place in Dallas Downtown. As I entered, to my left was the menu displayed on an entire wall. I couldn’t decide what I wanted to eat and as I kept mulling over my options, a man walked up to me and asked if I needed help. He helped me decide on a simple Tofu fried rice with Thai tea. As my food was being prepared, he joined me at my table and we started chatting. Turns out, his name is Jack and he owns the place! Asian American who’s lived in the US for over 40 years. Over the course of our lunch, Jack and I became friends and if you’re ever by this eatery, do meet Jack and say hi!
