2026 Adam/He-Man has officially stolen my heart and it’s wild that tumblr isn’t talking abt this guy. He’s a loser. He infodumps about his home planet on a first date and gets dumped immediately. He works in HR. He can’t drive. He gets mesmerized by his own abs. He’s convinced he can talk things out with the bad guys despite this never working once the entire film. He goes to the gym in a pink kitten sweater that says “alpha male.” He’s been arrested. He sneaks away to transform into he-man as if it’s a secret but literally everyone knows. He brought his earth roommate to eternia to prove he wasn’t crazy. He even killed Jared Leto. What a guy.

One side of my brain while watching Masters of the Universe:

Wow I absolutely love that we’re in the era of live action adaptations being made by people who actually like and respect the source material. He-Man, One Piece, and Sonic are all properties that have inherently goofy premises, and their adaptations work because they actually EMBRACE that. I didn’t even grow up with He-Man, but the movie still caught my interest cause I could tell from the trailer that this was made by people who wanted to do fans of the og justice and they succeeded. It feels like a campy 80s cartoon in the best way :)

The other side:

I NEED ADAM TO LOOK AT ME WITH THOSE HAZEL EYES AND DORKY SMILE SO BAD OH MY GOD I WANNA SIT ON HIS LAP AND RUN MY HANDS THRU HIS HAIR WHILE I SUCK THE AIR OUTTA HIM HE’S SO AWKWARD AND SWEET AND BUFF AND PERFECT AND-

Not that the Switch 2 wasn’t selling incredibly well already, but we’re a year into it’s life now and since launching with Mario Kart World it hasn’t really had a guaranteed system seller that would truly hook people in (excluding the sleeper hit of Pokopia, but I don’t think Nintendo predicted how obsessed with it people would become)

Mere seconds after the Ocarina of Time remake was announced I already saw people saying they’re finally gonna buy a Switch 2 for that game ALONE. Plus with that vague 2026 release date it’s probably coming out during the holiday season-

The way Ketchup Entertainment has had to come thru for Looney Tunes fans not once, but TWO SEPARATE TIMES because WB (cough Zaslav cough) genuinely doesn’t understand how important and beloved those characters still are is absolutely bonkers

It's truly astonishing how we're 3 movies deep, and there's still ZERO straight explanation for Robotnik and Stone's relationship.

Like yeah when 1 came out, it was good fun shipping them after the whole "pin yourself to the wall" thing and those of us who saw the potential would've stayed Stobotnik truthers regardless of what direction the following movies took. No one was expecting like... actual canon evidence tho??? In 2 Stone is shown to be visibly depressed when Ivo is gone, draws detailed latte art of their faces with tiny hearts, and has no desires other than to be in his presence once he's back (also the maid outfit lmao). Ivo, despite hating all of humanity, not only lets Stone stick around well after they've left the government, but is allowed to see him at his lowest, SHAVE HIS HEAD, and in general get closer to him than anyone else ever has in his life. (Slight S3 Spoilers but he also literally refers to Stone as "the only person he can trust" 😭, which I reacted totally normal to btw).

That's without even mentioning their natural chemistry (courtesy of Jim and Lee), or the way Stone is so down bad he looks at Ivo like he's hung the stars, or THAT PART in 3 that's basically all the confirmation I need. There's wayyy more here than an average toxic boss/henchman dynamic, and watching this all unfold in real time over the last (almost) 5 years had been such a chaotic delight. It's never not crazy to me how all of this started simply cause the filmmakers decided to give Jim Carrey someone to work off of 🤖🪨❤️
