brokenheartedgroom!kento whose wedding you crash (for the best...?)
brokenheartedgroom!kento who didn't even invite you to the wedding. neither had his supposed bride, actually. you just walked past the venue and caught the scent of food. and your stomach led you inside. after nobody kicked you out, you made yourself real comfortable.
brokenheartedgroom!kento whose eyes met yours across the congregation, sharp and warm, melting and cooling all at the same time. you whistled to yourself, remarking that the bride was one lucky girl.
brokenheartedgroom!kento who noted that he didn't recognize you. but there were a lot of people in his future wife's life, most of which he would never come to know. so he didn't say anything about it.
brokenheartedgroom!kento who turned before he could see you shoveling yet another slice of cake into your mouth. it was good, though. chocolate on chocolate with... more chocolate.
brokenheartedgroom!kento who didn't notice that you were wandering around, soon. sure, he caught glimpses of you around. once he noticed you, it was hard to... stop. he didn't quite know why.
brokenheartedgroom!kento who didn't know that you were genuinely just looking for the pantry, wondering if they would let you take home more cake. with the notion, you stumbled into a room, blinking against the dim lighting.
brokenheartedgroom!kento who didn't know that his bride was currently pushed against the wall. the sleeve of her dress slipped from her shoulder as another man that wasn't her groom kissed up the bare skin. but you did. the gasp you let out was loud enough to break their heady silence.
brokenheartedgroom!kento who watched you dash across the entire venue, eyes darting around before eventually landing on him. he didn't expect you to actually run up to him, but that's what you do.
"sir---you have---oh my god, let me catch---" "ma'am, slow down. what's the problem?" "it's your wife. she's---um... god, how do i---"
brokenheartedgroom!kento whose eyes narrowed, tilting your chin up to bring your eyes to his. "tell me where she is."
brokenheartedgroom!kento who didn't expect to see his soon to be wife, in just a few hours, scrambling to pull up her dress, dappled in shadows with the best man that she had picked (why had he let that happen?) where nobody would catch them.
brokenheartedgroom!kento who realized, nobody except for you.
brokenheartedgroom!kento who knew that there was most definitely a reason that you, out of all the people in the venue, were the one to save him from a marriage that would've shackled him to inevitable heartbreak.
"who are you?" "huh?" "i said, who are you? are you a friend of hers?" "... no." "... a relative?" "no." "then who invited you here?" "... cake." "what?" "i smelled chocolate cake."
Ex-husband Daichi
Ex-husband Daichi, even after the divorce keeps in touch with you. Maintaining a respectable connection with you. But in all honesty he just misses you and wants to make sure you're doing alright. He would never overstep any boundaries considering he's not your husband anymore.
He'll call you on weekends and just catch up with you on daily life. He'd be a bit hesitant at first, not knowing if it was his place to do so, but he'll ask you to have coffee or lunch with him at a cafe if you're comfortable with it.
Daichi still keeps a picture of you in his wallet. At work, if something is weighing him down or he's just sitting idly, he'll take the picture out and just reminisces the time you had together. The divorce wasn't easy on either of you and he mostly blames himself for how it all ended. He wished it all ended differently. You were always going to be a part of him.
He still wasn't used to life without you. From dating you in his highschool days to getting married after graduation, you were always in his mind. And now that very thought of you haunted him. There were still parts of you around the house. Your favorite mug which you forgot to take with you, the little plant that you bought after moving in together, the matching pairs of keychain to the house, yours still dangling beside his. He never moved those, not even an inch. And takes care of the plant as best as he can.
Daichi would be at your beck and call at any time of the day. Once you called him at 3 in the morning because you were scared and couldn't fall asleep and he was with you on the phone until you eventually fell asleep at 4 and he quietly hung up. Showed up with bags under his eyes at work the next day. But with a tired smile on his face, satisfied with himself. He was glad you still called him whenever you needed, that you still trusted him enough for that.
From that day if there was a thunderstorm or heavy rain at night, he'll give you a call to ask if you're okay and is willing to stay with you on call. He knows nights like these scare you. Reminds him of the nights he'd hold you close to him and make you feel safe.
Ex-husband Daichi is still a gentleman. Follows the sidewalk rule and will always have a hand behind your back at crowded places. If he sees you carrying heavy groceries by yourself, he will take all of them from you even the lighter ones. Once saw your shoes came undone and got down and tied them. Always puts his coat over you when it gets chilly.
“Here.” He puts his oversized coat over your shoulders and adjusts your scarf. “You'll catch a cold otherwise,” he says, voice above a whisper. “You always make me feel warm, Daichi.” You say standing on your tiptoes and kissing his cheek. Heat rose in his cheeks making his face flushed.
Daichi as an ex-husband is someone whom you can never hate. He's the ex partner that when brought up on conversations you mention how sweet he is despite the separation from him, a hesitation in denying when someone asks if you still love him. and realize yourself when people somewhat point it out that, maybe there's still some love left between you, a flicker of hope still left.
-Thanks to my cousin for this idea, who said that I still might not have moved on from Daichi.
life with kita shinsuke as your husband
husband!shinsuke who wakes up before the sun, but not before kissing your cheek and tucking the blanket closer around you so you stay warm while he starts the day.
husband!shinsuke who comes in from the fields smelling faintly of earth and fresh grain, his first stop always being you—dusting himself off just enough before wrapping you in a hug.
husband!shinsuke who saves the best produce from every harvest for you. the ripest strawberries, the juiciest peaches, the sweetest corn—all set aside because “my wife deserves the best.”
husband!shinsuke who builds little wooden crates just for you to carry vegetables from the garden, though he always ends up doing it himself so you don’t strain your arms.
husband!shinsuke who insists you wear his wide-brimmed hat when you join him in the fields, because the thought of the sun touching your skin too much makes him uneasy.
husband!shinsuke who works from dawn to dusk without complaint, but the moment you call for him, he’ll drop everything—your voice outweighs any responsibility.
husband!shinsuke who has dirt on his hands but never lets them touch you until he’s washed up, because he thinks you’re too precious for roughness.
husband!shinsuke who plants rows of flowers along the edge of the crops just because you once said you liked the way they looked.
husband!shinsuke who builds sturdy fences and strong locks, not just to keep animals out, but because the idea of anything unwelcome getting too close to you unsettles him.
husband!shinsuke who notices when you look lonely while he’s working, so he shortens his hours, even if it means less sleep for him—he’d rather be exhausted than see you sad.
husband!shinsuke who always washes the dirt from under his nails before touching you, because he sees you as something clean, soft, untouchable by the roughness of his work.
husband!shinsuke who carves little wooden charms during winter evenings to gift you, simple but made with such love it makes your chest ache.
husband!shinsuke who would rather his crops fail than ever see you unhappy—he can rebuild a field, but he can’t rebuild you.
husband!shinsuke who walks you around the farm at sunset, pointing out each patch of land with quiet pride, saying, “all of this is for us.”
husband!shinsuke who keeps an old flannel draped over your shoulders whenever you’re outside, murmuring that the chill in the air “isn’t fit for you.”
husband!shinsuke who takes you into town on market days, but keeps a steady hand at the small of your back, his calm expression making it clear you’re never to be approached carelessly.
husband!shinsuke who will always downplay how hard farm life is because he doesn’t want you to ever worry about him—your comfort comes before his own.
husband!shinsuke who comes home with scratches and callouses, but the moment you frown at them, he cups your face with a soft smile and says, “it’s nothing, long as I can hold you.”
husband!shinsuke who works with quiet intensity, but you’re the one thing that can make him put down his tools without hesitation.
husband!shinsuke who thinks of you with every seed he plants, imagining how this life will keep providing for you, how the earth itself bends to serve you through him.
husband!shinsuke who prays every night before bed—not for his farm’s success, not for his own health, but simply to keep you safe and beside him.
husband!shinsuke who sometimes stares at you across the dinner table like he still can’t believe you’re real, and when you ask why, he just says, “I just love lookin’ at what’s mine.”
husband!shinsuke who keeps your favorite fruits growing year-round in the greenhouse, tending them more carefully than his cash crops because they’re yours.
husband!shinsuke who will never let you lift anything heavy, even if you argue—you’ll just find he’s already moved it before you can try.
husband!shinsuke who makes you sit on the porch while he works late, just so he can glance up and see you watching him.
husband!shinsuke who lets everyone else in town know, in his calm, steady voice, that you’re his wife—and he says it with a finality that brooks no argument.
husband!shinsuke who falls asleep the second his head hits the pillow after a long day, but his arm always finds its way around you, even in his deepest dreams.
husband!shinsuke who believes his hands were made to work the earth, but his heart was made for you—and that’s a truth he carries like gospel.

The secret time of Caleb at lv35 has been living rent free in my mind.... He mentioned he took care of MC during her first period too and half mocked her for being a little dramatic about it if I'm not mistaken.
Do you think you could write a fic or some headcanons on this? Like, just fluff, awkward and young Caleb having to take care of a scared MC and reassure her she's not dying per se?
Your writing is amazing 🥺
Young Caleb taking care of reader during her first period
Your first period was a nightmare like any other girl. You knew a little about periods but weren't ready for your own first one. When you felt something and saw a blood stain on your cloth, you nearly fainted. And it just had to happen at the park with Caleb.
You stood their awkwardly until Caleb noticed and asked you about it, and your eyes got all teary. You burst into tears then and there and Caleb's brain just stopped working. You told him about the blood stain and how you might be having your first period and he just put on that smile of his and assured you everything was going to be okay.
You wouldn't let him see the stain, too embarrassed to show him and he just took off his jacket and wrapped it around your waist to cover it. The walk home felt longer than usual. You walked slower than usual and walked a bit behind Caleb. You could feel the cramps coming up. Oh right, you needed pads. You tugged on his sleeve and stopped him in front of the convenience store and asked him to get you some pads.
He didn't know the first thing about pads or which ones to get. You wouldn't go inside with him because it felt awkward and embarrassing to go with him. He scratched the back of his head seeing the different types of pads. There were so many of them, which ones would be the best for you? Alas, he trusted his own intuition and got one he thought would be best.
Caleb also remembered a conversation he overheard that girls prefer something sweet during this time and got some of your favorite chocolates and snacks as well. But the one important thing he forgot was medicine for your upcoming cramps.
You changed into fresh clothes and Caleb told you he'd get rid of the stain from your dress. You wanted to wash it away yourself but he insisted. It was an easy task for him. But what came after was what made him panic internally.
Your cramps started to get worse and you thought you were going to die. Caleb watched you curl up on the sofa and cry. He felt helpless as to what he could do to make you feel better. He checked the cupboards for some medicine and found some that might help ease your pain a little. He got you to sit up a little and take the med.
It helped a little but you were still an emotional wreck. “Relax, you're not going to die. Plus you've got me. I got everything under control.” He didn't know girls could be sensitive during this time and proceeded to make a joke to make you laugh, which ended up in you crying even more. Great now you were crying because of him.
He tried making it up to you by giving you the chocolates he got but you wouldn't talk to him. This was harder than taking care of you in your fever. When he tried to pat your head you pushed his hand away.
He thought about making ginger milk curd for you when he came back after a while, he found you asleep on the sofa. He walked over to you and gently patted your head. That must've been a painful first time but luckily he would be there for you from now on to make sure you don't feel that pain again.
Author's note: Anon, I hope it's to your liking. I don't think it's that good I tried my best with this. I'm not very good at doing requests so please bear with me. And thank you, I'm glad you like my writing :>

Tw: miscarriage, blood, loss of child | If this post is triggering for you in any way, please scroll past before leaving any hate comments. Not proofread.
Caleb
It started happening when you were twelve weeks in. Spots of blood started showing and there was mild abdominal pain. You and Caleb got to know about your pregnancy very early on so you kept track of everything. Everything was going well, you ate healthy, had enough rest and there wasn't anything stressful going on. At first the doctor said it was normal sometimes to bleed throughout the first trimester and expect mild cramps but this was getting worse. It continued for several weeks until finally Caleb took you to the doctor and your heart dropped down. You had an early miscarriage. And there's rarely anything that can be done about an early miscarriage. You were in shambles. It was a short pregnancy but a loss is still a loss, and the loss of a child, a huge one. Especially when you both were ready and really excited about it. Caleb felt helpless seeing you like this. He was also grieving but you were his priority. You lost a ton of weight. You bled for a few more days after the miscarriage and it resulted in slight anemia. You didn't eat properly and it was worrying Caleb a lot. The house felt heavy. You barely looked at Caleb and avoided talking about this, which he totally understood. But he missed you. So when he finally approached you to talk to him, you broke down completely. “It's all my fault,” you sobbed. Your throat hurt, your body hurt, everything hurt. “I'm sorry Caleb I- I.. I'm sorry I couldn't give you a child.” Is that how you felt? Caleb's own heart broke and his tired eyes couldn't stop the tears from flowing. He held you close to his chest as you wept uncontrollably. “I.. didn't- I'm not with you in this for a child you know, you don't have to give me a child.” He rubbed your back. Your breath started to steady and you calmed down. “When the right time comes, we will have a baby.” “What if I don't get pregnant again?” “Then we'll adopt puppies. Lots of them,” he wiped your tears and nose. “And also cats if you want. They can be our babies.” You chuckled at that and it made him relieved to see even a glimpse of smile on your face. “Hey,” he took your hands and kneeled down in front of you. “As long as we're together, I don't need anything else. I'm not opposed to the idea of having a child together but if it doesn't happen, it won't change a thing.” You started to heal together after that, taking one step at a time, and Caleb has been your best support throughout it all.
Sylus
You were five months pregnant with a small bump developing on the way. Things were quite normal and peaceful. And with Sylus by your side it couldn't have been better. He looks forward to going to every checkup with you and seeing his baby in the ultrasound, slowly forming into a life. This checkup was like no other. Everything was normal with you, the only thing being you rarely felt the baby move, which the doctors deemed as normal around a 20 week pregnancy. But when the ultrasound showed something unusual, something in you did not feel right. The sonographer who was doing the ultrasound looked quite anxious and sent you immediately to get checked. “The scan showed that your baby stopped developing and that the fetus was smaller than usual.” “What does that mean?” Sylus' eyes narrowed at the doctor. “Your baby probably died around 12 weeks.” Everything around you shattered that day. You were completely devastated. The baby stopped moving weeks ago, you should've known. Sylus' was at a loss for how to comfort you. Nothing he'd say would bring back your baby but he hated seeing you blame yourself like this and push him away. He was also distraught by the loss but not as much as seeing you suffer every single day. Your body was healing from the removal of the pregnancy and everything hurt. It hurt for you to move and especially talk. You were tired from crying but the thought of your child haunted you constantly. “It's going to get better,” Sylus held you gently, his hands caressing your arms. “How?,” your voice barely above a whisper. “I cannot bring back what we lost but,” he cupped your weeping face. “I can be your anchor if you'll let me.” “I should've known something was wrong Sylus, I'm such a bad mother.” “No you're not.” He looked into your eyes. “There was nothing you could do about it.” “I wanted this, being a family,” you said. “I did too, I still do. And we are a family, you and me,” he said. “When the time comes again our family will be bigger than the two of us. But for now, I don't mind it being just the two of us.”
Rafayel
It was the middle of the night. Rafayel's paintbrush moved smoothly across the canvas. Each stroke like a wave crashing against the shore. Which can be heard as he painted, what he thought to be his most favorite painting ever. Hues of pink across the canvas occupied the purple. You were asleep on the new four poster bed, which was bigger than his old bed to soon welcome the newly born. The winds gently swayed the curtains in the room, and the sound of the waves, a comfort to his ears. The moon was full today and everything was as quiet and peaceful until..
He heard a scream come from the room. His paintbrush scattered across the floor, pages ruffled as he ran to you. You were holding your stomach in pain and when he removed the covers from you he saw the blood stained sheets. Rafayel does remember anything that happened after that, just that he carried you out of bed and the next thing he knew you were at the hospital. Thomas who has been a huge support was handling everything with the doctors. “They're saying she should go into labor immediately, her bleeding was heavy. We cannot wait around anymore or delay this.”
Everything fell silent. He couldn't hear the waves crashing or the sound of the sea. There was a veil over the painting and it was pushed away in the deepest corner of his studio. Maybe he'll burn it later. Maybe he won't. It was the middle of the night when he found you standing near the sea. Waves crashing against your bare feet. You always found comfort in that, it made you feel calm. How was he supposed to mourn when he saw you like that, light stripped away from your eyes. “In Lemurian legends it is said that, which that has been lost comes back in the form of the purest of pearls.” He opens his hands to you and there's a small pink pearl on his palms. Rafayel collected this rare pearl and thought about making something precious out of it for your child. But now, it can only be kept as a memento of what you once bore. You burst into tears and almost fell to your knees as Rafayel held you from behind. “It's going to be okay. Shh, just stay with me.” You cried out loud and he held you close as you both dropped down on the sand. As your cries began to falter, Rafayel's own eyes were filled with tears as if the whole ocean were in his eyes. “I can still feel her Rafayel,” you said, bringing your hands to your lower stomach. “I can still feel her move.” Your voice quivered with each syllable. “I can't bring back what we lost but.” He takes your hand and places the pearl inside. “We can only remember what we lost was more precious than this pearl. Maybe she's already returned to us as the waves or as the sea foam. But whatever form it is, we can only mourn and not lose ourselves amidst what we cannot bring back.” He gently places a kiss on your head. “We will have what we lost again someday. It won't be the same but it will be different in a way we're going to be happy again.” As the winds once again swayed the curtains gently, the veil on the painting fell and it was a portrait of you holding the child inside your belly. It was Rafayel's most beloved creation.
Zayne
You and Zayne had been trying for a baby for a while now and each time the pregnancy test came out negative, your heart was filled with disappointment. But one morning when Zayne found your side of the bed empty and found you hunched over the toilet and held your hair back. Zayne kept track of your period even when you didn't and saw how it was a week late and initiated for you to take a pregnancy test. The two pink lines on the test this time made you cry tears of joy as you held Zayne and you both just basked in that moment of joy. He arranged for you to get professionally checked and accompanied you on your first checkup. Everything seemed fine at the beginning. You followed doctor's orders and went on checkups as scheduled. Zayne made sure you had a smooth pregnancy and was your best support in everything. However when you entered your 20th week and the ultrasound showed something unusual, the doctors came with news that shattered all your hopes. “Your baby is not developing as expected. Continuing further with the pregnancy will put both of you at risk and might even cause the baby to be stillborn.” Your heart fell to the bottom hearing all this. “Of course, we are not going to further impose anything on you, the final decision is completely yours to make.” Zayne gave you some time and space to process everything and in the meantime contacted some of the best doctors for this process. “Zayne, this is none of your business. This is my decision to make!” “It is my business when it involves you and I will not risk anything.” “What about our child?!,” you cried out. He stood there in silence. It pained him to see you like this but he was always going to choose you. It's not that he didn't care about the child, far from it. But risk involves both of you and Zayne would always choose you. “You need to understand that going through with this is putting your own life at risk, and I'm not going to let that happen.” “What if- what if we can make it. What if I can go through with this and-” “The child will not survive.” The hurt in your eyes pierced his own heart. Guilt was eating him alive because he couldn't do anything. “Why,” your voice quivered. “Why are you doing this? You and everyone else. After three years Zayne, three years we- we finally got what we've been wanting for so long.”
The process was quicker than expected and everything went smoothly. Zayne didn't know how to face you. He was just as devastated with what went down. When he entered the room and saw you his heart dropped. The next thing he knew was that he rushed to your side as you cried out loud holding him, begging for him to bring back your baby. Your cries could be heard from outside and Yvonne and Greyson could only stand there helplessly, not sure what they could do. Something inside Zayne broke that day. He always told you he was going to make all your wishes come true but fate played a cruel game this time. Everything felt grey back home. The nursery room which you and Zayne decorated a bit too soon was shut and locked for good. The hospital gave Zayne leave from work for a few days. He grieved, he grieved through you. One night Zayne woke up and found your side of the bed empty, he became anxious. You were not in the best mental state and he rarely let you out of sight. He started becoming more anxious when he couldn't find you in the living room or at the garden outside, only then did he notice that the nursery room was open and you were sitting on the window seat holding a small snowman plush. “What's wrong?,” he whispered softly. “I keep having dreams.” You didn't look up and fiddled with the plush. “I think I'm cursed Zayne.” “You're not,” he said softly. “Give me your hand.” You do as he asked and see him use his evol and close your palm. When you open them you see a small jasmine. You love when he uses his evol to make jasmines like this for you. “Jasmines bloom at different times depending on their types. But they still bloom. His gaze followed yours and fell on the jasmine on your hand. “And in time, you will too.” Moonlight fell through the small window on the nursery as Zayne held you and let you grieve your heart out. He was always going to choose you, but the grief he himself felt wasn't any less. He looks at the small crib and hopes that one day it will cradle a child that will be made by so much love by the two of you.
Xavier
It all happened so quickly. Your period was late but neither you nor even Xavier, who usually does keep track of it, were aware of it this time. It didn't affect you as you were doing just fine. Until... You started bleeding a lot more than usual and with excessive abdominal cramps. Usually Xavier is calm and collected during your menstruation week but when he saw your pain was getting worse and the bleeding was also heavy, that was his cue to take you to the doctor. What the doctors revealed shocked both of you. You were pregnant. You were pregnant and you didn't even know. And you miscarried. That came as hurtful more than shocking. The fetus didn't even develop, it was barely a developed embryo. But still, the fact that you were pregnant with a possible child started haunting you. Safe to say you didn't have to go through any medical procedures. The doctor only gave you medicines for your smooth and healthy recovery. Everything seemed weirdly normal but not exactly. You weren't mournful over this but you weren't exactly normal about it either. It just felt like there was a void inside you. You kept thinking about the idea of the child you could've had, had things not gone this way. Were you too careless? Was it your fault this happened? Unanswered thoughts occupied your head until Xavier finally noticed. “Are you okay?” Throughout all this Xavier made sure you were in your best state, physically and mentally. A loss is a loss no matter how small or big it might seem. And this wasn't a small matter, not to you. “I'm just... thinking. We could've been parents. It's funny but it could've happened.” He understood how upset you were, he wouldn't say it didn't affect him either. “Would you have wanted it? The baby. I mean it wasn't planned or anything but” “How could I not want a life we created together?” You smiled at him. “It wasn't your fault,” he placed his hand on yours. If there was anyone that could read you like an open book, it was Xavier. “There was nothing we could do about it. What happened, happened. We can only wish for the best for our future.” “I just wish I knew...” “Maybe this wasn't our star to catch. In time it will happen again.” He smiles. “It's okay to be sad. You'll always have my shoulder to cry on.” Maybe next time you'll see a shooting star..
Author's note: I apologize if some parts are bigger than the other and if some of them are short. This took me a lot of time to finish. I also apologize if some facts are incorrect, I did a lot of research before writing this. But I hope you like this.
Not sure if you plan on a part 3 to the ring series but imagine if the Lis run into or sees non-Mc years later. They’re still wearing their ring but non-Mc is now wearing a different persons ring on her finger. The Lis realize that they didn’t just loose non-Mc when they took off their ring, they lost their future as well (I honestly kept thinking of Caleb and Zayne in particular having to see non-Mc married with a child and or pregnant because they seem most likely to have thought about kids with her. It’s like in the song Undressed: “I don't want the children of another man, to have the eyes of the girl that I won't forget.”)
Firstly, sorry for the extremely late reply. I'm going to be honest anon, I'm not at all thinking about part 3 but I see your vision and it does add to the angst. But if I did make a part 3, I don't think I'd follow this storyline, I wrote the fic in mind that they won't be seperated or end it with each other over what the LIs did but of course things won't fix so easily either. The boys would've suffered even more as they hurt non-MC. But if the plot did require for some of them to end their relationship with non-MC I may have done that. But thank you anon for this.
writer culture is going through every comment you've ever had while kicking your feet and giggling
How I feel every time.
Awkwardly affectionate Levi….omg
This poor man hasn’t experienced much affection throughout his life, so he doesn’t know how to show it, how to receive or reciprocate it.
But now he has you. And as he gradually gets more comfortable, he’s willing to at least try to learn how to be affectionate. Openly, physically.
But God, is it a long way for him.
He wants to hold your hand, so he reaches for it when you both pretend to be busy with paperwork, sitting close. But he does it a bit too fast, deciding to act before he starts doubting himself. This results in Levi accidentally grabbing only your middle and index finger, squeezing them awkwardly together.
He thinks he fucked up, immediately. He’s annoyed with his own clumsiness, wonders if he should just give up and stick to keeping distance - like he’s been doing for years.
But then you squeeze his hand back lightly, as if telling him it’s okay. Comforting him. Because the mere fact that he tries is enough to make your heart melt.
So you never tease him, never comment on these situations, even if sometimes you find them endearingly funny.
Like this one time when Levi tried to caress your head. He raised his hand, freezed mid through as if thinking it over, then patted the top of your hair. Literally patted. It made you think of how he would often pet his horse after a finished expedition. You wanted to laugh, a teasing comment at the tip of your tongue, but you bit it back and just smiled. The last thing you wanted to do was to discourage him.
Or when he leaned in to kiss you for the first time - not on the lips of course, he still wouldn’t dare to do that. You suppose he meant to aim for your cheek (or maybe the temple?), but instead the kiss landed so close to the outer corner of your eye you had to shut it, your eyelashes brushing his lips. A quick peck, nothing more. And as awkward as it was to him, to you it was the sweetest kiss you could have ever imagined. Levi does his best to show you how he feels about you, even if the outcome isn't perfect, even if it requires stepping beyond the walls he's built around himself. Even if it's difficult at times, it's all worth it - he does it for you.
Nerdy Senior Higuruma x Fresher Reader
Nerdy senior Higuruma who's only focused on his studies, is the top student in his class and barely interacts with anyone.
Nerdy senior Higuruma was quite popular around campus. Girls from different departments and years swooned over him but he barely noticed it.
Nerdy senior Higuruma took notice of you one day when you sat at the same table as him in the library. You smiled at him and took your place opposite him.
Nerdy senior Higuruma who was a person of few words but you sure loved to talk. You would ask him questions about him and what he's studying and why he's studying law. You talked a lot. With him.
Nerdy senior Higuruma would get all nerdy when explaining things about his major and his courses if you ask him any questions about it and you would find that cute. But you also showed interest in them which he appreciated.
Nerdy senior Higuruma with his glasses would walk around campus with you trailing behind him all excitedly and asking him to come with you to campus fair.
“I'm not interested.” “Oh come on! It'd be so much fun! Don't get tired of studying all the time?”
Nerdy senior Higuruma was not only a nerd but also shy because you soon started to make him feel nervous with your presence. He didn't feel like this before.
Nerdy senior Higuruma who put his cardigan over your sleeping form in the library as it was almost nearing midnight but you decided to keep him company as he studied.
Everyone on campus was shocked when they saw Nerdy senior Higuruma and you walking around campus.. holding hands?!
“Higuruma how did you get a girlfriend?” Honestly even he himself didn't know. It just.. happened. And you giggled every time he told you about how someone asked him for the nth time he got himself a girlfriend.
Nerdy senior Higuruma who smiles awkwardly when you kiss his cheek and it leaves a light lipstick stain on his cheek, of course he doesn't know about the lipstick mark.
Nerdy senior Higuruma who was older than you and took care of you in his own subtle ways, buying you lunch all the time, guiding you through your own studies. He will make you finish your homework before you can run off to somewhere else.
Nerdy senior Higuruma got you little things that he liked or reminded him of you and never let you pay for anything if you liked it and got it for you himself.
Nerdy senior Higuruma would pat your head if you got a good score on your tests or was able to answer correctly when he'd quiz you.
First kiss with Nerdy senior Higuruma was quite awkward since it was a first for both of you and it happened very quickly but you liked it mostly seeing him all flustered and his glasses a bit slightly displaced.
Nerdy senior Higuruma who runs out of cardigans to wear because you keep taking them away from him and he can never say no. All his cardigans are in your closet and you match your outfits with them to wear.
Nerdy senior Higuruma is a very good boyfriend but can be a bit dense sometimes when it comes to romance, so it's you taking the lead most of the time.
Nerdy senior Higuruma who gets shy when you flirt with him. He cannot flirt back, he doesn't know how to flirt so he awkwardly shifts in his place which earns him a giggle from you every time.
Nerdy senior Higuruma who's very sleeped deprived as it was his last semester and he had tons to finish and wrap up but you were always there as moral support and kept him company throughout it all.
Nerdy senior Higuruma comes off as nonchalant but he actually enjoys listening to you talk. In his everyday monotonous life, you were the only part that he found peace in.
Author's note: Inspired from a nerd higuruma fanart I saw and the artist portrayed how higuruma as a nerd would be shy.
hi! anon here who called you my fav author. i read part 2 and boy- i expected a lot but you blew away all my expectations and then hit them 10 fold you did so fucking well!! i loved it, i loved how non mc had so much self respect and i loved watching them suffer even more. you’re such a natural when it comes to angst. i will read all your other fics later tonight but damn you should be proud of your talent
I'm really blessed to wake up to messages like this. It feels really good to me that out there I'm someone's favorite author. Thank you again for reading and for all the love and support on my work. I'm glad I was able to meet your expectations and that it brought you joy (and pain) reading it. You say really nice things anon.
Isaiah x MC's younger sister reader (Non MC)
First encounter with him would be in the flower shop where he's all tied up to the chair. Enchanted by you at first sight when you chuckle at his tied up condition. “Oh my and why is this gentleman tied to the chair might I ask?”
Introduces himself properly after the interrogation. He learns you help Jeremiah with the flower shop. It's a "refreshing sanctuary" for you. Speaks very formally which makes you laugh a lot with the way he addresses things and the words he uses. For instance he will throw a temper with the things foreign to him. “Quite alien are we?” A remark you use as a joke for him and which makes his face go red, from embarrassment.
I feel like he would talk in a very formal Disney prince manner. For instance the way he asks you out on a first date would go like “I would like to invite you to have dinner with me this evening if you would be so kind to accept my offer.” And that is the thing that makes you laugh most about him. You heard him speak informally i.e normally before but with you he seems to go an extra mile.
Would practice by talking to himself which is obviously heard and seen by Jeremiah. The two almost kill each other because Jeremiah teased him. Tries to flirt but fails miserably.
“Your hair looks very beautiful today.” “Why thank you Isaiah, that's very sweet of you,” you smiled at him. That was the first time he told you something like that and it made you feel warm. “Your hair is worthy of a briar patch to be put on it.” Excuse me? A briar patch? “Wow that's..kind of rude, don't you think?” You walk past him with a frown on your face. And you thought he was being nice.
“You idiot it's called a briar rose not a briar patch. Do you even know what a briar patch is?” Jeremiah mocks him the next time they see each other which ends up in an argument about pushing each other on briar patches.
Follows you around when he's not doing anything. Sometimes you'll find him writing and that's when you discovered that he liked writing. “You write?” “All promising members of the royal family do.” “Wow you really are like a fairytale prince,” you chuckle. He blushes. What you don't know is that he secretly writes poetry for you similar to what Xavier did back in the spaceship. He also puts how he feels about you in letters but keeps them to himself. You've read his writings and they fascinate you that the boy you thought to be as hotheaded and unreasonably funny could write beautiful poetry. He feels deeply appreciated when you read his writings and compliment them or give feedback.“No one ever reads them, my writings.” “Really? But I like them so much. I think your writing is beautiful.” Gosh he starts falling even harder for you. He feels seen with you.
He falls first and he falls harder. But is cruelly reminded by Xavier about the consequences. He's a being from another planet, he will live way longer than you do. A constant cruel reminder. And it's a warning from both Xavier and Jeremiah, who also once lost someone he loved. MC is different, she might live even with the planet transplantation while you may not.
With this, he either pushes you away or lies to you that he has "someone" waiting for him back home. It hurts you which in turn hurts him as well. But he does think about ways to save you or how if they have to flee to Philos or some other planet, how he's going to take you with him.
Thinks about confessing but is held back with thoughts that he may not be able to be with you. He tries to learn about your favorite things so that even if you may have to part ways, he can at least remember you by those small things.
Author's note: Can you guys tell that I really like Isaiah. The best npc character. Not proofread btw
The Aftermath
Caleb
When Caleb returns home that evening, he knew from the moment he stepped inside that something was terribly wrong. You were going to leave and he knew it the moment his eyes locked with yours anxiously and how you looked away from him. With the ring back on his finger he sinks down to the floor before you. “I will never throw it away again please just- I-,” every word of his getting tied up in his throat and was laced with panic and anxiety. He held on to your waist, trying to stop you, as if you were going to disappear if he let go. “I will never take it off, I will wear it around my neck if you want me to just-just please listen to me.” “Caleb,” you say his name softly, your voice trembling from the tears that fall on his cheeks as he looks up to you. “I don't want you to wear our ring around your neck, I never wanted to,” you cup his face softly and wipe the tears in his eyes. He held on to you more tightly. “I just wanted to be loved by you in the right way.” He nuzzles into you, scared you were going to leave any moment. “I love you, I really do,” he says. “You love me as the shadow of someone you couldn't have.” You take off his hands from your waist. “I'm sorry Caleb but.. I don't want to be loved as a shadow of someone.” Time froze around Caleb as he sees you walk away from him, leaving him there on the floor of your shared bedroom. He couldn't get up, couldn't chase after you. The gravity of his own evol pulling him down.
Rafayel
After the sun set down, Rafayel found you by the beach sitting on the sand. He couldn't find his ring in the end, but he was going to make it up to you as best as he could. “I..,” he began. “I'll try to find it again tomorrow,” he says quietly. His own words making him feel ashamed of his actions. “You won't find it,” you say starting off into the distance. “I threw them away.” There was a stunned look on Rafayel's face, but he couldn't completely comprehend your actions. “Where did you throw them?” “To where they belong, back to the ocean,” you pointed towards the sea. He stood there for a while, “I'll go look for them, it will be easier to search underwa-” “Don't,” you held him back. “Even if you did find them I won't take the ring.” He looked at the horizon. “Why did you throw them away?,” he asked. “I figured,” you started. “That if they are so easily to be thrown away on the ground, why not just throw them back to the water, where they actually belong. It's betrayal to be from the waters and be abandoned by someone who walks on the earth, don't you think?” The words struck deeply in Rafayel's heart. “Rafayel, I hope in the next life that is, if there is one, I turn into sea foam so that whoever it is that you're looking for, you find them with ease and not with any hindrance along your way.” You left him on by the waters, and every wave crashing against the shore seemed to mock Rafayel if his indifference and foolish choices.
Sylus
A certain man in the N109 zone, seemed to be turning the entirety of it upside down. Why? Because he couldn't find his other half, or that is how he should think of you anymore after him being the very reason you weren't present in your home. You took the rings with you that much he was sure of since his own ring seemed to be missing. But he knew turning the N109 zone wouldn't do anything since you weren't there in the first place, and he knew where exactly to find you. Maybe it was his own rage and anger that he was taking out on the N109 zone. It wasn't surprising when he showed up in the middle of night in front of your doorstep at Linkon. Your old house which you still kept even after getting married to Sylus was the best decision. When you open the door and see him, you don't react, you don't do anything and you don't let him in. Sylus knew from one look at you that it wasn't going to be easy taking you back with him. “I won't force you to come with me, but at least let me stay. I'm not going until you'll let me in.” “Surely there are other places you can afford to stay.” It was like venom, your words. But he knew he deserved it for what he did. “I apologize for everything I said and for..what I did,” he sighs. “But I want you to come back with me. Please.” You didn't say anything. Your silent reprimand was enough of an answer for him. Now he was getting frustrated, not with you but with himself. “What must I do for you to forgive me. I know what I've done is not excusable but if you'll please give me another chance and let me explain-” “Explain what Sylus?,” you snapped. There were very rare occasions where you were on your last limit and Sylus knew best to make sure that never happens. “In all these years of our relationship, I've just wanted one thing from you and that was honesty,” you said coldly. “You're telling me everything you do, all these illegal, dangerous missions and the way you sometimes completely disappear is for us? For me? ” Your chest was heaving with rage. How dare he. “You knew about what I do-” “Yes! I know what you do very well,” you couldn't help but raise your voice a little. You were trying your best to stay calm, your fists clenched tightly. “And yet I accepted you for the way you are, loved you for who you exactly are.” Tears started falling from your eyes as you held your glare with him. You were angry, so angry but you couldn't help but soften every time when his gaze falls on you. You hated that so much. “And every mission every sudden disappearance includes her Sylus, how do you explain that? I'm your wife, you do not disappear on me, YOU DO NOT LIE TO ME,” Your voice was trembling, you didn't know for how long you kept all this inside but it was all pouring out now and he just stood there, saying nothing. You take one of his hands and put the rings on his palm. Their shine weighs heavily on his hand. “Take them. I don't want them anymore. Trade them in the next auction if you want to” You looked at you, stunned by your words. Hurt was evident in his crimson eyes. “Goodnight Sylus” You close the door in his face but you can still feel him standing there and you do not want to look back. Tears fall from your eyes and you cry. You cry because you knew every word struck him the way it did to you when he threw away his ring that night. His palm still rested on your door but he couldn't tell you to open it, to let him in. So he disappears again in the dark of the night but this time with the rings you exchanged your vows with. Death didn't part you but the consequences of his own actions did.
Zayne
Over the past few days, you've given Zayne the silent treatment and cold shoulder altogether. You responded only when needed and you barely saw each other. He came home to an empty dinner table and a bed with a great distance between you. This was affecting him at work as well. His co-workers noticed how cold he became and overworked himself. One night he finally had enough and confronted you. “Are we going to keep this up?” He held your wrist to stop you from walking away. You didn't say anything, you refused to. Sure the ring was still on his finger but you wondered if his heart felt otherwise, yours sure did. “I know my words and-,” he paused for a moment, ”actions were inconsiderate and hurtful.” He put emphasis on the word actions. “I didn't mean for things to escalate that far. I'm sorry.” Zayne was always thorough with his words and always meant what he said. But somehow that wasn't enough to ease you. “Zayne,” your voice trembled. “I'm tired. I don't see you at home anymore. When I wake up you're already gone and when I try to reach out to you or call you, you're busy and do not give me the excuse of dealing with your patients and surgery. I know what a doctor does. But you seem to be pouring your time elsewhere.” He freezes. The accusation sharp like ice. “I'm not a fool you know. I know you're her primary care physician, but you're my husband. Is it too much to ask for a little bit of your time?” His heart ached seeing you cry like this and him being the sole reason for it. “Sometimes I wish my heart was damaged so you'd at least take a look at me.” “That's enough.” Zayne rarely loses his patience, but this wasn't him losing it, how could you say that and put his heart in misery.” You swallowed your tears, throat aching and left him to dwell on his misery. The next morning Zayne woke up to an empty bed. No notes, some of your clothes were gone and your ring rested on the bedside table.
Xavier
Days and weeks have passed but not a single message from you. Xavier could not reach out to you or get a hold of you in any way. If there was one thing Xavier couldn't beat you to, it was hiding. It was like you completely disappeared. Not even Jeremiah and Isaiah were successful in their attempt to find you. “What did you even say to her to make her disappear like that?” Isaiah inquired. “It's nothing” was what he replied with. “Did you accidentally teleport her to another dimension?” Jeremiah kicked Isaiah and dragged him away from Xavier before he could further sour his mood. But nothing was on his mind except you. Your ring rested on his breast pocket for days now. It felt heavy on him. Even with the rings he could not make out where you could be. When one morning, Xavier woke up, he couldn't find his ring. That's strange. He didn't remember taking it off. Nevertheless he started looking for it in places he were, when suddenly there was a glow from his breast pocket and he looked in to see your ring was glowing. Where you nearby? He observed the fluctuating glow from the ring and discovered that when the ring glowed brightly it meant he was in the right direction. When he was near to the correct spot the ring glowed so brightly it was as if the stone itself was made from a portion of light from his evol. When Xavier walked closer and looked down he saw own ring glowing as brightly as yours. They're connected. One finds the other if the other is lost. He never knew about it. And the light emanating from it must've also been something you did. After all, you were the only one who could take some of Xavier's light from his evol. He didn't question how his ring ended up here. His eyes darkened as the rings slowly dimmed away, having been found each other. He wished you'd rather screamed and shouted at him rather than disappear like this. The silence was unbearable to him so much so that he wondered if you were even here on earth and actually not on some other dimension as Isaiah said earlier. But this act of disappearing wasn't all foreign to him. After all, he once disappeared from his own homeland. He looked up at the sky and looked at the countless stars decorating the sky. He hopes somewhere you're looking at the same stars and sky as him and that the stars can lead him to you soon.
Part 1
Author's note: I'm sorry if some parts are (much) longer than the other and if some of them are really short (Caleb and Rafayel) I did my best with part 2 as I had no plan for a second part. This was for all of you who requested it. I hope it's to your liking. I would also like to put out that MC is not a villainous figure here. If something here comes off as misogynistic to you or made you feel like I'm villainizing MC, I'm not. I'm not an MC hater. I just love writing my Love and Deepspace fanfictions from Non MC perspective.
