Kakashi time traveled in the past and the first thing he did was moping all over Obito. Because!!!! Let Kakashi be held and cared for!!!!!!!!!!

I think it would be so funny if Obito without a mask showed up all cocky in civilian clothing or other shinobi village gear at whatever roadside restaurant Kakashi was in while traveling for a mission, completely confident that Kakashi, even if he recognizes and believes him to be Obito, would not allow himself to acknowledge it knowing the probability of this random Obito-looking-guy with scars in the right places actually being Obito, especially considering Obito in this situation is just sitting down having a drink and a snack. So, we have Obito hanging out munching on some red bean dango that Kakashi knows he loves, and Kakashi sitting on the other side of the room having an existential crisis.

I think Itachi’s novel mentioned that the sharingan eyes see everything red (and if it doesn't say that well I still like the concept) and I have the headcanon that each person's chakra has its own color. So the sharingan sees the world in a red filter and over it people's colorful chakra signatures. (I guess this makes them kind of sensors).

Also tiny detail, Kakashi's chakra is white/gray and I hc Obito's as black, which is why Kakashi's sharingan is black in the last panel.

Really stupid au where when they were younger, Kakashi and Obito shared an accidental kiss a lot like Sasuke and Naruto. (Kakashi commits to his mask shortly after but will never not insist it's unrelated)

Years later and Kakashi, trying to cheer up Naruto and Sasuke ab their own embaressing accidental first kiss, shares his own story

Then, years later when Obito reveals himself on the battlefield, instead of going "woah, another Uchiha!?" when he hears his name, Naruto can't help but point and shout OH MY GOD UR THE GUY WHO KISSED SENSEI!!!!!!!!

Instant dead silence. (Obito wants to die)

Sakura, who never heard the story ab how it was a one time accidental kiss: "omg... sensei's childhood boyfriend went evil on him... this is so fucked up"

Obito is VIOLENTLY thrown off by this turn of events (and also hasn't actually thought ab it in years oh my god that did happen didn't it)

Kakashi, seeing how badly it threw him off, and also the kind of person who plays hard into throwing people off and generally fucking w them to gain an edge, seeing Sakura mumbling ab lovers to enemies and just kinda goes "Yeah Obito I can't believe you'd do this to me I thought we had smthn special."

"Yeah a rivalry????"

"So I was only ever a way for u to get stronger,, figures u were using me,,,"

Sakura yells smthn ab him being a deadbeat and how Kakashi can do so much better and Naruto is instantly shouting in agreement as Sasuke stands there like "hn." Which is basically the same thing for him

"Figures." -Sasuke, who's been in proximity w Obito for some time now and absoloutley believes every word ab this topic Kakashi is saying

"Woah. This is almost as bad as the fact he murdered my parents when I was a baby dattebayo" - Naruto who's priorities are NOT what they should be

"Ok. I wouldn't go that far." - Sasuke, who's priorities are also fucked but not THAT fucked, oh my god Naruto

"No, no he's right. We should kill him even harder for this" - Sakura, who doesn't actually agree but wants an excuse for more juicy sensei love drama (and also wants to see Obito beaten to death anyways)

id like to congratulate obito and kakashi for being insane about each other in a way that is usually only reserved for the eternally inextricably intertwined gods. but no these guys managed it all by themselves without leaning on magic reincarnation nepotism. this is why their toxic murder + delusion situationship truly exemplifies the show's theme of hard work overcoming natural talent

it's sad to me that cis people never apply their "loved one with a wanted-pregnancy" script to medical transition. like cis people often indicate they don't know how to react to hearing about medical transition, but a huge portion of that social script is directly applicable.

tell someone "congratulations!" tell them "I'm so happy for you. I know you've been trying for a really long time." ask them "do you need help with anything?" throw them a party with loved ones where you all give them some gifts in acknowledgement of how expensive it is. celebrate how far along they are. take photos with them so they have a record of being loved while their body changes. allow them to voice fears and doubts and anxieties about how it'll go, and reassure them that they'll get through the intense medical procedure coming up & you'll be there for support no matter what. let them tell you about the gross parts and laugh together. really listen to them when they talk about how amazing and profound it is that the human body can do this. share in their excitement for beginning a new stage of their life.

If there are complications, comfort them and help them navigate what's next. If they lose access suddenly due to finances or criminalization, treat it like a miscarriage and hold them while they grieve.
